Arsenal wants liechtensteiner that makes it clear, that they are not looking for improvment first it's very cheap and very old secondly I don't think their scouts have been watching him in the last couple years because Licht he been ridiculous since 2015\16 season not good at doing anything useful their second target is Sokratis Papastathopoulos I think that if they failed to get the cheapest offer they could go for Sokratis he is not that great Defender but he do not have any flaus. It will be clear twhat destination will be going for Gunners if they went for the 34yo Swiss man.
IIRC he is out of contract this summer or next summer so he'll be virtually free, I get the impression that the new manager is trying to bring some experience and balance to the team. With the low budget that arsenal has this summer, I doubt that we can expect more, their budget is said to be around 50 million euros.

That would be a very bad move for the gunners, Lichtsteiner is definitely pass his best and they isn't anything he can offer the gunners. The should strengthen their central defense as well as their midfields.

guys what do you think of City move for Mehrez I will be surprised if they payed that much for him it's close to €100 now as media says. His prime has already passed and he will never repeat that season again. Don't get me wrong, he is good player and tehnically he is at elite level but a lot have been changed for him in previous years now I can't see the determination and now he is just below average, if you look closely when he played in this and last season he looks like he doesn't even want to be on the pitch while for Leicester is going to work for them better and probably their chances to rise above mid-table with that transfer budget they will add 3 solid players for Premier League and still be good as a team City better off with Zaha in my opinion.

Looks like I was wrong and Fulham is up. I'll be honest and say I knew nothing of Sessegnon but judging from what I can see about him now, let's hope he keeps on firing for Fulham and not get bought up by a big club who won't use him. With the low budget that arsenal has this summer, I doubt that we can expect more, their budget is said to be around 50 million euros. I'm really not sure what we can expect from Arsenal. New manager is shrewd but not quite the same way as Wenger. Wenger's always been positive, but it possibly helps at this level to have some cynicism (I keep getting reminded of how Liverpool themselves might have done better with a fair bit of it, and they actually have towards end of season, killing games and lowering their tempo with backpassing, for example). Look at the team Arsenal already have and they're actually definitely not bad for at least Top 5. With fresh impetus, another season above Spurs should be their aim at least.

So Liverpool have signed Fabinho, deal was around £40m according to reports. What do you guys think? IMO, it's a great signing, he's a proper defensive midfielder: strong, with great passing, versatile, and young...exactly what Liverpool needed in midfield. Fabinho + Naby Keita next season...not bad. guys what do you think of City move for Mehrez I will be surprised if they payed that much for him it's close to €100 now as media says. Liverpool did need to bring in a Brazilian player because the player who came from the country of samba is always able to give influence to his team when playing on the field in a match.

In this modern world of football, It's impossible to win any trophy without spending a whole lot of money and sometimes the money that you end spending correlates to the trophies that you are going to end up winnimg.

hard to say, the EPL can be so unpredictable from time to time that I wouldn't be surprised if Fulham or Everton (with the new coach, Marco Silva), end up winning the league title on a serious note, if the top clubs (Man Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal) aren't shite and can actually compete with Man City, then there's a high chance that one of them wins the EPL. Now Liverpool, they always start the league as favorites (I honestly don't know why) but they never fail to have their up and downs each season...they've been so inconsistent for so long that they are the only team from the 'Big Four' that is yet to win a league title in the 21st century...I don't think the trend will change, they'll just keep fighting for a top four spot, not the league title.

Their seasons almost seem to consist of some losses that shouldn't happen but in the end they seem to go on losing. Against the top six clubs, they are formidable but when it comes to the lesser clubs. Its a lose-draw affair for them.

In this modern world of football, It's impossible to win any trophy without spending a whole lot of money and sometimes the money that you end spending correlates to the trophies that you are going to end up winnimg. This. But there are exceptions or outliers when a lower tier club runs way above EV while the top 6 clubs are mostly running below EV. Remember Leicester 2015/16? But that's not happening again in 30 years or so...

Manchester city seemes unstoppable and I don't expect this season to be any different look at Managers interview they'll say they'll try to have a good season and play catch up with city, even Mourinho has already conceded it's difficult to win the title right before the season has even began, Manchester United need a new manger like Simone who restores attacking glory days back. Liverpool will not win it, it's their lack of winning mentality that stops them.

Let’s wait & see what happens after the world cup regarding transfers. A lot can change on who may or may not have a shot of winning the title based on players coming in.

Ya I agree but with the transfer window closing earlier this time I haven't seen any great additions so far to the other premier leagues, I do hope they strengthen because city just need few tweaks they're yet very strong, so far nothing great happening at World Cup to, grizeman is not coming nor is Bale that means only Ronaldo is available and neymar is going back to Real so I wonder which world class player will rejevenuate the sides.

^ Liverpool could also go for Jack Butland. And I think they could acquire him for cheap since Stoke was relegated.
Another option they could go for is Joe Hart. He's decent enough and prolly better than Karius. Lol.

Is Liverpool really going for Shaqiri or its all just talk and nothing is really happening behind the scenes? I'm mean its really overdue two or three weeks passed since I first saw a news article for a potential transfer, still nothing happened. I know I'm late on this one but was Lichtsteiner really the missing piece into the defence of Arsenal? I'd rather buy a classic sweeper or center back than a right back. Lichtsteiner is old and super slow, I really didn't see the point of the transfer.
