Am I the only one who thinks that it's a bad ideas for the Premier League to re-open only to be played behind closed doors? I mean not ticket sales, merchandise sales even advertising will be low. It's not a good idea in my opinion. I think it's best if football is postponed indefinitely till we're certain that the war against the pandemic is over. When the dust has settled, only then should the Premier League be allowed to be resumed.
You're making a point there I mean is just not football if the most important players aren't present (the fans) they serve as extra energy to the 22 players on the field when they need motivation to continue playing. I’m eagerly waiting for the Premier League to resume again, but I too don’t want to see it behind closed doors as without the the fans cheering or booing the players those matches will seem really dull. There is crazy idea to play rest matches of the season in China's mainland, it is terrible idea and I don't support it.
Yeah and I don't think Chinese government will allow foreigners to enter the country with the Pandemic condition that has infected all countries. @Strongkored well I feel that China will definitely be open to hosting the premier league out there, because they’ll earn tremendous amount of money, and since their economy has already been hit I’m sure that they’ll be more than happy to allow the premier league to resume their season out there. The ticket sales would be a huge loss to the clubs, but I think home delivery services are still active, so merchandise can be sold to anywhere within the country. Sponsorship contracts would also be honoured as the players would have them on their jerseys and it would also be displayed on the digital boards. The revenue accrued would not be the same as during a normal campaign, but there'll be money coming in. This could prevent some clubs from going insolvent during this period.

I also think it is nonsense to go play in China. There is no real good reason behind that and it doesn’t make sense at all. This has no precedents and it has never happened before for a country except those that have been in war to go play the rest of the games in another country.I hardly believe Premier League fans will agree to this.

Of course many English league fans will not agree to the agreement because for them it will be difficult and it will also be dangerous for the players if the EPL plays in the Chinese plain why is there such an idea? I think this is confusing. But behind the closed game, of course, there will be more stringent security and this will be done in his own country will be better compared to China. China is very dangerous because the corona virus all starts from them.

I haven't read anything similar to this one. Personally, I don't think that this is a good solution as the players might get infected again. For not doing the matches it is something - doing them with no spectators. Maybe the cancellation of the season would be better..

Haha, never heard that one before, made me laugh on what feels like day 1000 of quarantine. Yeah there’s no way any PL football will get played in China. I miss the footy a lot, it gives me structure if you get me. We’re 25 points clear too, what a fucking time for this to happen. Why not when Fergie was winning title after title?

Full salary for not working fully? Don't think that'll be fair for the clubs. We all know the matches that are currently not been played contribute to the expenses of the club as it offers them the opportunity to sell tickets and also other allocation they get. The matches only offers opportunity for them to sell jersey and other accessories to fans.
The clubs need to cut down on some expenses when the league resume fully, If the footballers/workers aren't been considerate, I'm quite sure we'll see news popping up of clubs sacking some workers after them getting paid and the footballers not getting a new contract especially for those that haven't been that productive to the clubs.
Everybody has the right to get their full salary it doesn't matter who they are, football player, grasscutter, stadium painter. But the worse thing is, some people who CAN opt to get paid less for not really doing anything, should. And if normal people get reimbursed by government, do football players also?

The premier league won't return in the near future unfortunately, eventhough we can see there's some european clubs like Bayern' Munich start training together under social-distancing rules ... it seems the premier league won't do that. The talks would resumed next month I heard. So yeah it's expected to return by June which the season supposed to be end. Get well soon by the way , makes sure you are cough-free as these days having a little cough could be stressful thinking whether you are positive or not

If you check the numbers of the crisis you can see that Germany is about 10-14 days ahead when it comes to the infections. I am pretty sure the Premier League will resume their trainings within the next weeks too. I doubt that the current season will be canceled. Let's see what the officials say at their next meeting, but I am confident that we will see some Premier League football sooner or later .

Boys you have a serious football addiction and since your patience level is too low in quarantine, i recommand to install PES or FIFA and play a tournament with your favourite team in a Chinese stadium!! (from wherever came this clever idea lol ) I prefer old classic SNES ISSSD game, good ol' days

There is really no new news about what they are going to do but it looks like they are looking into any sort of possibility to return to playing. I know we do not really want to force players to play and risk their lives but this moved a lot beyond what "we" as fans want and became more about what the players want and actually also what they NEED.
The money involved in football is not a small amount and specifically in premier league we are talking about close to a billion dollars so if this season doesn't really return back these players may not get the money they are looking for and that may really hurt their finances. So, players are looking into anyway to return as well, so does teams, and also sponsors and television rights and basically everyone involved wants some sort of way to get back into playing so that nobody loses money because of corona.

Look at him, so eager to come back in training! Don't you dare to question his 2nd-year performance at Spurs, it will be legendary! I can't wait to see his new squad after the summer transfer (if any).

With Kane, and Son in full fitness after recover from injuries and with good transfers in summer (I just hope so), the Special One can help Spurs to fight for the Premier League title next season. Arsenal has not yet come back to their highs despite of so many coaches came and went away. Manchester City might see a several years of falling behind other strong teams and they need time to rebuild their team. Manchester United, sorry but Ole is not a good coach. Next season, I woud like to see the trophy competition between Liverpool, Spurs, and Chelsea. It is interesting to watch the fight of the Special One and Mr. Frankie.

Hey that is an excellent point, right now all injured players are recovering. There is going to be a nice reset, no fatigue no nothing. I expect we will see some strong performances out of the gate with full strength teams. Which team can mentally get there to the professional level the quickest might be the difference

There’s nothing legendary about Spurs, choking is in their club DNA. They’re one of the most underachieving clubs in world football, they just don’t win trophies.

They just don't win trophies is a fact and I can't dispute that but based on their player profile and budget I can argue a point that they are actually overachieving last few seasons and that they made more than was expected with high league finishes and CL final. Yes they didn't win anything but who would have backed them to even play in the final? That sort of result should be considered as positive as well as top 4 finishes in PL.
