In just 12 hours time, we will be having first results from the Democratic primaries in Florida, Illinois, Missouri, North Carolina, and Ohio. Clinton is almost certain to win North Carolina and Florida, thanks to the African American vote. If Sanders fails to win the other three, then it will become impossible for him to secure enough delegates to win the nomination. Looks quite difficult. There are a lot of blacks in Illinois and Missouri, and they are in love with Hitlery.

Which makes me really sad cause racists could hang this fact around as a proof that blacks are stupid xD

Hillary Clinton trounced Bernie Sanders in Ohio, in a surprise blowout, while also scoring predicted wins in Florida and North Carolina.

The huge victories show that Clinton has all but secured the Democratic nomination and laid to rest concerns that Sanders was surging in industrial states.

“Tonight it’s clear than ever that this might be one of the most consequential campaigns of our lifetime,” Clinton said in her victory speech.

With 6 percent of the vote reported in Ohio, Clinton had 65 percent to Sanders’ 34 percent – a huge margin considering polls had shown her with a single-digit lead going into Tuesday. In North Carolina, Clinton had 57 percent of the vote to Sanders' 39 percent, with 8 percent of precincts reporting. In Florida, she had 65 percent to Sanders' 33 percent.

The comfortable victory in Ohio is a huge dose of reassurance for the Clinton campaign on a night her campaign entered with no shortage of red flags: Sanders continues to tighten polls and fundraise at a lightning-fast pace. The next set of contests are caucuses in heavily white states where Sanders has excelled. And Sanders has proven his ability to defy expectations, claiming a victory last week in Michigan.

Knockout blows are hard to come by in the Democratic race, where — in contrast to a GOP contest Tuesday punctuated by winner-take-all primaries — all delegates are awarded proportionally. But with a five-state sweep, Clinton could leave Sanders scrambling to catch up in delegates and trying to explain why he couldn’t keep pace with Clinton in Rust Belt states that appear tailor-made for his relentless focus on working-class Americans.

Clinton came into Tuesday with more than twice as many delegates as Sanders, 1235 to 580. Even without superdelegates included, Clinton leads 748 to 542 in pledged delegates.

With nearly 700 pledged delegates in play Tuesday, Clinton is on the way to widening an already formidable lead over Sanders — and win the chance to turn her focus toward the general election.

“I want people who are Democrats to look at this election as to who can be the strongest Democratic nominee against whoever the Republicans put up,” Clinton said Tuesday during a question-and-answer session with reporters earlier on Tuesday. “I think that is most likely me, and I want people to turn out and vote in all of these contests today. Really get us prepared to wage a general election campaign about what’s at stake for our country.”

If Clinton can relegate Sanders to an also-ran, she can spend her time taking on Donald Trump, as well as begin to woo Sanders’ supporters. She appeared ready for that pivot Tuesday, while also noting her intention to keep working at the primary until she’d clinched victory.

Harpy Clinton is truly evil. All that berniebot energy against TRUMP instead of focusing on her..... Here is the result. Thank you Soros! You know how to manipulate the drones. Now all the berniebots will feel confident to update their software and become harpybots, and vote for her, to stop TRUMP. That was well played.

Something for the BernieBros to think over:

Quote from: J.D. Tuccille
Poor Americans Will Be Stuck With the Tab for Bernie Sanders' Generous Promises

Self-described socialist presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders wants to fund generous promises of cool stuff for everybody with equally impressive taxes that would soak... everybody. Increasing the size of the federal government by upwards of 50 percent doesn't come cheap—the Tax Policy Center estimates that Sanders' proposed tax hikes would cost $15.3 trillion over the first decade "thereby lowering average after-tax income by 12.4 percent." As befits a socialist, Sanders intends to soak the rich, and indeed he tries to hit them harder than he slams the rest of the population. The Tax Policy Center finds that "All income groups would pay some additional tax, but most would come from high-income households."

But researchers find that people who are more likely to succeed economically are also more likely to dodge taxes. And targeting them specifically increases the likelihood that they'll hide their money from the authorities. No matter what he intends, Sanders' proposed tax hike looks destined to fall most heavily on those who can least afford to pay the tab for his promised goodies.

Just by hiking taxes at all, Sanders and others who favor an expansive state face an uphill battle. "In almost all studies it has been found out, that the tax and social security contribution burdens are one of the main causes for the existence of the shadow economy," writes Friedrich Schneider, a professor at Johannes Kepler University in Linz, Austria, and expert on tax evasion and off-books economics. By "shadow economy," he refers to work and business conducted out of reach of tax collectors and regulators.

That shadow economy can be a pretty roomy place in which to go about your life, too. The Internal Revenue Service currently estimates that Americans pay 83.1 percent of all taxes owed. That may sound low, but it's actually about the highest level of compliance in the world (researchers found the rate in Britain closer to 78 percent, and 68 percent in Germany). Hiking taxes could be expected to drive more Americans to get creative with their tax returns.

But who would be most likely to keep their cash out of the government's grasping mitts? "ndividuals who demonstrate high levels of ability or effort, who typically are rich, are much less likely than others to comply with taxation," says Raymond Duch, Director of the Nuffield Centre for Experimental Social Sciences (CESS) at Oxford University.

Those greedy bastards! Of course they want to hold on to their moolah! You can already hear progressive pundits warming up their sharing-is-caring op-ed generators.

But Duch's research doesn't find that becoming rich makes people sticky-fingered. Instead, it seems that the same talent and drive that cause people to strive and succeed also make them proprietary about their earnings. "A causal mechanism contributing to tax cheating appears to be ability as opposed to wealth per se." By ability, Duch means exactly the sort of people you would expect to thrive by their own efforts: "very competitive individuals, successful entrepreneurs or investment bankers, or those who are very successful in the entertainment and the sports world."

There's no trigger level of taxation either—no magic threshold that sets off the talented and ambitious. People seem to resist handing over their money to the taxman no matter the burden. "The  higher  levels  of  cheating  by  able  versus  less  able  types  persists  in  high and low tax regimes."

Higher tax rates are a spur to resistance according to Schneider and company. But that non-compliance is bound to be more pronounced among those with the sort of ability that drives them to be prosperous, as found by Duch and his fellow researcher, Hector Solaz of the University of Birmingham...

----------

This article is a lot more than a knock at Sanders. It goes a long way to explaining the mystery of the uberliberal: the guy who's publicly agreeable to higher taxes and more regulation in apparent contradiction to his self-interest. It says that the same fellow will hire clever tax lawyers to (quietly) work the angles. So, his apparent altruism looks more like a trade-off, with his image as a "good guy" being the unambiguous benefit.

"Put not your trust in Princes" - Psalm 146:3

Anyone with an IQ of 100 IS stupid!

And... half the people are dumber than that!

If Trump wasn't an idiot... he'd have $300 billion, not $3 billion... Simply by putting his inheritance in a mutual fund that tracked the S&P 500... How smart is he now?  He's worth 1% of what he should be worth!

Trump has failed businesses left and right... he's declared bankruptcy 4 times!

If Trump didn't have every advantage in the world, he'd be a broke-ass loser... unfortunately, he's a rich loser simply because his dad was rich

Hey, please.  There's no need to push the hard sell, you know you are not convincing when you do that.

Just for fun, take a look at where you are wrong.  An IQ of 100 is not "Stupid," it is exactly "average."  "Talks at an IQ level of 100" is not equal to "has an IQ of 100," it simply means "attempts to communicate effectively with the average person."

Are we having fun now?  And not insulting anybody.  How about that?

I also didn't claim Trump had an IQ of 100... probably closer to 120, which has a personality type of its own... people with an IQ of 120-130 are usually the smartest guy in the room, and it goes to their head... that range has more smart asses than smart people... smart people start around 140 IQ

Given his achievements, I would guess that Trump would pull 140 or higher on Stanford-Binnet IQ tests.  That's not extremely unusual though.

GW Bush would probably do in excess of 120 by my estimation even after substance abuse took it's toll.  Probably somewhat higher before that.  He did learn how to fly a jet aircraft and got through school albeit with help from a powerful crime family pulling some strings.
