thank you for the file. let me see how it works.
The network tries to produce one block per 10 minutes. It does this by automatically adjusting how difficult it is to produce blocks.

Same issue agani wallet stopped responding 604129 added below code to config also.
Code:
connect=184.6.147.2
connect=ams1.midnightminer.net
connect=ams2.midnightminer.net

It seems the problem with Wallet. If you can share your wallet software version for windows 7 64bit, it will be helpful

Then I started looking at his other coin, can be seen here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1166593.0 (only 2 pages, easy read:) and there you will notice that the dev also gone silent last year without letting anybody know what was going on. My guess is that this was Amsterdamcoin, done

Dev has refused to support a coin? It seems there was the fork.

There is an issue with this coin forking, not sure if it's malicious intent or not, but it is happening often.

I have 2 nodes running and maintaining the blockchain and a block explorer.

Explorer is found here:
http://ams.midnightminer.net/

nodes for amsterdamcoin.conf:
Code:
addnode=ams1.midnightminer.net
addnode=ams2.midnightminer.net

I am looking at the wallet code in my spare time to update the code to reduce the forking.  I hope that Keesdewit will allow a pull request into the soucecode once I finish the updates.  I have been pulled into other projects at the moment, so hang in there, an update is coming.

It's still on my list of things to play with.  The price of AMS is sliding, so I will up the priority on this.

I hope to have an update late next week.  The update will be fully compatible with existing wallets (no forks).  I would like to improve the performance of the wallet, especially on Windows mine seems to hog the CPU and disk access.

Hello There,

AMS is now alive, see the AMS wallet in YOBIT.

as of now:

DEPOSIT AMS
Wallet status: Online (814232 blocks)

Thanks. AMS

And I hope the wallet should be made simple, this current wallet is too much lag loading. not good. sometime it crashes. And lack of active networks, too slow syncing. lack of promotion, I hope this coin should be valuable to the owner, don't seat back and relax. Don't be irresponsible. 8 network connected at the explorer http://ams.midnightminer.net/, but in my windows wallet 0 active network? doubted! please explorer share the complete nodes for us to connect.

Hi, Midnight miner, its clear Keesdewit has permanently exited Crypto. His last visit was September 1st 2016. Its good to see you step up and help. I am glad to support you any way I can. Just ask.

Vegas

I want to make sure everyone knows that I just released my software called "Yobit pump alert". THis is custom software that uses an algo to detect the start of a pump here on yobit, the second it starts. YOu can even filter the coins you see by price. Most pumps start less than 100 sats , so you can easily filter the cheap coins, so they are the only ones displayed Smiley https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1945937.msg20241953#msg20241953

AMS has in his greed for money,  dropped there nearest allies
Allies had achieved previously enormous successes for AMS.
Without this support AMS died soon off

And then there was a issue whit the first fork, which was unexpected earlier than previously announced, a number of loyal supporters of AMS lost there AMS balance.

It has nothing to do with greed. I really do not need the money. In fact, I did not make money with AMS. The main goal for AMS was to get cryptocurrency accepted in stores. The dream was that on some day we can pay with AmsterdamCoin in the stores of Amsterdam. We had some trouble with the blockchain, I agree with that. It was all done with best intensions and its a pitty that it ends like this. Sometimes when you have a goal it turns out unachievable. I am afraid that this is one of them. Nevertheless I am willing to help if someone still believes in the main goal of AMS and wants to take over AMS. It deserves more attention than I can give it at the moment. As time goes by life changes. I just do not have the time that I used to have for this project. So if someone wants to make AMS revive then speak up. I would love to see this coin being continued.

We had people that helped AMS, but they were very scarce. I can count them on one hand, in fact it was Vegasguy and Midnightminer that offered their help. I would like to thank them for the effort they have put into it. Maybe Zeta0S will realize one day that I have put all this time, money and effort into something that brings zero return to me. In return I am now being accused of greediness by the same guy that placed an article on his website and afterwards asked for money. How is the greedy one here Zeta0S?

I remember being around at the beginning of AMS. It had a lot of potential so it's a shame the way things turned out. Anyway from my perspective I don't think keesdewit was motivated by greed. Things just didn't turn out as planned. Good luck to anyone who may want to revive it.

Aww very cool coin name.

You should make this coin as the default payment option in the Red Light District.

You go into the cabin, you pay the worker in AMSTERDAM COINS, you have your fun. Everyone is happy. Cool!
