Hey vegas, can you just make a conf file and put in OP so that anyone having trouble can just download the file? I would do it and post in thread, but that is not safe obviously. Thanks!

edit: new persons might not know quite yet how to make a conf file

The flycoin.conf has been on the OP since day 1

Vegas

Vegas, I meant to have a downloadable conf file so that people can download the file and place directly into flycoin roaming folder. The one on the OP you still have to make into a conf file and some people do not know how to do this. Thanks!!

Its not needed in V1.6. All nodes are hardcoded into the wallet. It might even be a good idea to delete the .conf file. Im not sure they point to the current fork. Enjoy.

Vegas

I want to make sure everyone knows that I just released my software called "Yobit pump alert". THis is custom software that uses an algo to detect the start of a pump here on yobit, the second it starts. YOu can even filter the coins you see by price. Most pumps start less than 100 sats , so you can easily filter the cheap coins, so they are the only ones displayed Smiley https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1945937.msg20241953#msg20241953

Im one of those folks out there that just like to invest and I like this.
Vegas guy - you stated in your ann, or a post near the start that you don't want anyone knowing about the coin. I get where your coming from but wheres the new investors going to come from if they don't know about the coin?

Its a valid question.
The coin can't exist in a vacuum.

And btw don't be so rude to potential investors because you need them.

One of your "trusted" investors ?

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1160670.msg12834254#msg12834254

How many more like him are on board?

I read the post and dont see any familiar names. Can you be more specific?

Vegas

Maybe he was speaking about greg, the dev for Break coin? I do know greg did the graphics.
They are awesome! At least one would be sure who he is talking about. If would have used name along with link.

Peace, Dennis

Yes it will need new investors. Coins can be bought at Yobit. All coins need new investors,
otherwise coins have a hard time going up in value. I think maybe you were misunderstood..
In that you were wanting to promote Fly. as of right now most of the coins are held by the top 20
holders on the richlist. In time that will change as new investors that have 100 FLY or more up to
5,000 will have a chance to get extra coin rewards from the Super Fly Wallet. Also some from
staking, too. We have a solid team behind us. From all over the world. Our coin is out to show the rest
of the world we are here for the long haul. Not like most pump and dump, here today, gone tomorrow
scam coins being created everyday. We are trying to set a standard in the alt coin world. By building trust
and value. Team members are some of the most trusted in the alt coin world.

Thank-you, for your inquiring questions.

Peace, Dennis

Vegas

Using domain names or static IP's?

If you use static IP's you will be setting yourself up for DoS and other types of attacks, would you not?

Or are you hardcoding the seed nodes to distribute the traffic?   This would be a good thing to see for new versions of wallets.

And the moment youve all been wating for V1.6 released by presstab!!!

64bit windows: www.bitcoinlasvegas.net/files/FlyCoin-qt.exe

Nice! But since I use Linux, I tried to compile the latest from GitHub and got an error:

Code:
main.cpp: In member function ‘bool CTransaction::CheckTransaction() const’:
main.cpp:516:53: error: passing ‘const CTransaction’ as ‘this’ argument of ‘bool CTransaction::IsAdditionalFeeIncluded()’ discards qualifiers [-fpermissive]
  if(nTime > FORK_TIME_2 && !IsAdditionalFeeIncluded())
                                                     ^
main.cpp: At global scope:
main.cpp:1163:18: warning: ‘nTargetSpacingWorkMax’ defined but not used [-Wunused-variable]
 static const int nTargetSpacingWorkMax = 2 * nStakeTargetSpacing; // 4 minutes
                  ^
make: *** [obj/main.o] Error 1

presstab, can you fix this? Thanks!

Nobody s being rude here.

By getting some FLY, you do not become an investor or a customer, you become something much more important, a member of FLY community. What was the last time you had an option to be part of the project where there are no scam devs, pumpers and dumpers, speculators, profit seeking traders, people spreading FUD, trolls of any kind, ponzi operators etc? Most of coins I ve been in have most, if not all of these categories. Well, this ends here.

The whole point of FLY s been to show the crypto world there is another way. Crypto s not about dark operations, about scams and anonymity. Crypto is a beautiful new INDUSTRY which ll keep developing and growing in the future and FLY will be its spearhead. This coin is all about group of honest people pulling together towards a common goal, building a good and stable coin which will mean something in the future and provide constant stream of income for its holders and community.

So, if you see yourself as a part of this project, welcome. If not, the only other coin I can recommend without any reserve is DMD Diamond. I hold it as well and I have not but respect for Cryptonit and other people working on that project too.

Confirmed. Here is how I fixed this for me:

1. https://github.com/presstab/Fly-coin/blob/master/src/main.cpp#L589
changed line to
Code:
bool CTransaction::IsAdditionalFeeIncluded() const

2. https://github.com/presstab/Fly-coin/blob/master/src/main.h#L609
here to
Code:
bool IsAdditionalFeeIncluded() const; //presstab

3. https://github.com/presstab/Fly-coin/blob/master/src/main.h#L611
this line became
Code:
int64_t GetAdditionalFee() const //presstab

I thought it would be ok to post in the forum too, perhaps someone can see what the issue is, kinda crowdsourcing a solution?

Thanks for the reasonable non confrontational response, I appreciate that.

Im just being cautious, asking a few questions just like I would regardless if its a fiat or Crypto venture. I like the idea of the coin, the group/community - everyone on the same page.  But Ive been involved in some coins where it all seemed swimmingly fantastic, price was high, but there was no new investors coming along so it basically ended up a few times with people dumping coins on each others just to get out. Its also when an alt coin gets expensive selling them can be tricky. I had a helluva hard time selling my Bitcoindark (very slow).

Just considering some options for now but for sure my main concern is new investors. Oh, and the price drop isn't a bad thing. I do believe the price of this coin shot up to fast. Slowly, but steady me thinks is the way to go.
Anyway, thinking about it.
Thanks again.
