No, there was no crowdsale, but there was a "pre-mine" dev fund of sorts when the codebase was switched IIRC. I believe it is the Shift Team account in the explorer; https://explorer.shiftnrg.org/topAccounts |

If you have a Linux machine, you can follow instruction 1 - 9 on this page: https://shiftnrg.nl/docs/becoming-a-delegate/setup-your-server/shift-installation/ to setup a wallet on your own machine. Ubuntu 16.04 recommended. In step 4 you won't need to edit the forging parameters unless you are planning on becoming a delegate. |

Haha reminds me of Pascal.. with that wallet it's easy to see which account owns what and Poloniex has 85% of the circulating supply in their wallet.
In any case, just bought 4000 SHIFT @ 76000 sats. Long and strong. Nice rebound in progess.

Bittrex don't own the coins, users of bittrex own their coins, I personally have some coins on bittrex just for trading and I am holding most of my coins out of the exchange. |

I depends on your voting weight and not all delegates run as pools. The following delegates are pools (sharing percentage varies); seatrips, gregorst, shiftraider, shiftspider, bawga, shiftpool, jamiec79, official_pool, djandre (from saluki on the Ryver chat) Most pools have websites that you can check your stats such as; https://pool.gregorst.org/https://pool.seatrips.nl/The forging reward for Shift is fairly low (1 Shift per block) so depending on your weight it might take a bit to reach a payout threshold. Usually it's .1 around 1 from what I've seen. |

I think this coin has amazing potential. Its capabilities, once finished, will be on the same level or better than platforms with many times larger market caps like Ethereum, Stratis, Waves, and Ubiq.
Also, another indicator that this is serious project is the excellent website and the clearly defined road map.
One thing that I'm not sure I understood is - does Shift have built-in dApps like the IPFS feature, content hosting (decentralized web), or will they be specific applications built on top of it (like Ethereum has Golem, Augur and so on)?
