With the El classico looming it's interesting to see if barca can beat Madrid and all but shall the departure of Zidane, he's actually won twice champion league, 5 trophies in a year but he's about to receive the famous Perez Axe. Tonight game between two teams that really are playing bad, don't think it will be more than a draw, but let's see how the first half goes. I feel Barca is very close to winning the title unless Madrid defeats them in El classico and win all reaming matches.

El Clasico match later I think is a game that can determine the champions of La Liga this season. If Barcelona can win this match means they can be said La Liga champions this season but if this match is won by Real Madrid means there is still hope for Real Madrid to compete for the La Liga champions although they have to work hard to take advantage of the momentum of victory.

Eibar Vs Girona : the hosts Eibar are in good shape and occupaying 12th place in La Liga with 21 points two points less then their visitors Girona . Their last 5 league game we're good for them gaining 4 and draw in one while Girona got two back to back wins that came against Espanyol and Getafe both ended with 1-0 so I think that this game might not have a lot of action because Eibar winger Alejo wouldn't be available he’s been in good performer that is why they will find it difficult to get through Girona olid defense so under 2.5 goals is my expectation for this match.

Tomorrow is the first El Clasico of the season, probably it will be tough if Real Madrid loses, but won't be over completely, atleast technically.
But yes its very important for Real Madrid to win tomorrow's game, it will give them a lead with morale boost to perform in future games as well to give a fight for league title.

After two successive defeats one at home and the other outside, and after 3 matches of the most negative result of the year against Eibar. Finally the club has found the way after the last week, but the question is would the team win with these many injuries : Campbell J. because of an Ankle Injury. Guardado A. after a Groin Injury and Probably he will not play. Sanabria A., Boudebouz R., Guerrero F. for a Knee Injury.

this was surely a big surprise Eibar got their 2nd biggest win of the season I was very dissapointed by Girona defense they started off the game poorly conceding the first goal in at the start of the game and another 9 minutes later so it was a doomed start from them since the beginning .
And for Alaves and Malaga game it's an important game for both teams as both of them are in the fight for survival it's looking to be few action but I expect from the hosts to fire a goal despite the ball possession so for the second half we might have few more better chances to seal the 3 points.

Malaga is so bad they could not score a goal?
I knew CD Alaves would win the match but they were not contested one bit in the game,
They could of scored 4 times in the first half and just one of those hit the goal bar to bounce out.
Eibar won quite easily as well with a 4-1 goal score.

I am a great lover of FC Barcelona and Real Madrid. I love to watch them play. Though I am a sports bettor and would any day vouch for either of these two teams.

More than betting is the strategy that they use. Its mind blowing. As a team, the work is just stupendous. Well it is not necessary that you stay fan of just one team. Though that's the natural course but I stay fan of the team that entertains me the most. And because I have two teams doing it - my freedom to bet increased by a degree of two instead of one. I have got options.

With a frenzy we sit down to watch the game but over a period of time we or at least I tend to observe the subtle movements and positioning of the players. The unfoldment of strategy and creating strategies on field is something amazing with these two teams. The game for all that is dependent on two dozen players! Yet there is a strategic current that connects all players and their moves. Just amazing. I bet as on date on FCB and RM. May the best team (one of these two teams) win!

I sure wish the English League also takes winter break like the rest of the European leagues. This makes the players gets really tired in the process. We are lucky to witness the El Classico before the league goes on a break.

Safe option. I think Espanyol have a fair chance to get some points tonight, I'm not saying they're going to win, but they definitely need some points or they could enter the relegation zone if Deportivo wins tomorrow against.

So, out of nowhere, Sevilla decided to sack Eduardo Berizzo...what? Sevilla are currently 5th on the league table (not bad if you ask me) and Berizzo managed to get the team in the Round of 16 of the Champions League. I don't understand this decision. Something must've happened behind the scenes that we'll never know of. What a crappy Christmas for Berizzo, the guy has cancer, and now he gets sacked.

I am happy because half the La Liga season closes with El Clasico match is a match between Real Madrid vs. Barcelona. If you look at the previous matches of these two teams clearly more dominant Barcelona victory in this season. However, the match in El Clasico match always gives surprise, I hope Real Madrid can stop the trend of victory from Barcelona in this season let alone they compete in front of supporters.

You were right in them wanting to get some points and they broke their winless streak in the past 6 games without a win against Atl.Madrid.
Atleast the under was a sure bet for those who took it.
And about the breaks before the holidays there are quite a bit of players that take the time off to go to their families due to travel delays. So not to be stuck at the airport without a flight home.
So maybe expect some players not to play in tomorrow El Clasico.

Agree, Barcelona could increase the lead to 14 points with a win over Real Madrid, it will capitalize Barcelona lead and, that also possibly could make Real Madrid on the edge of out of title race. I believe the match is crucial for both teams to chase the La Liga title.

About importance of this match - you barely can win championship in 17th round, but you easily can loise chances to win it. If Barca will win today, Real can say goodbye to champions title. It's hard to expect that Barca will stay undefeated all season long, but their advantage just will be to big to reache them.
For me, logical result would be a draw today. But I hope to see something amazing, like on last Clasico in Bernabeu.

Speaking of the match, i personally expect it to be more tactic than spectacular between the two teams. Real Madrid wants to win to get back on la liga title race and Barcelona wants to keep the 8 point difference after ElClassico and why not extend it to 11.
