Personally, I think this Real can't compete for title if it stays like this. Simply, they need a leader such as Ronaldo to play at top class.

Real Madrid has won many titles without Ronaldo, it's not like they suddenly became a tier 2 team because CR7 is gone. They will always be a main candidate to win everything, with or without Ronaldo. And tbh, Real Madrid doesn't neeed Ronaldo to play at the highest level, they have one of the best football squads in the world.

Remember the panic people were having about Barcelona last season after they sold Neymar? Or Liverpool after they sold Coutinho? Both teams did really well without their key players. If not even better. I mean, actually Coutinho has made Barca's game different.

Unlike Messi and Ronaldo, Neymar nearly has smaller impact compared with the other two to their club. The only impression that I got from Neymar was his amazing diving and nothing more but Ronaldo was the key player that actually made Real Madrid won the champions league 3 times in a row . So it could be different for Real Madrid this season

yeah I don't think that Neymar was that even good that last season with Barcelona was the worst for him his only big moment was the comeback for Barcelona against PSG in CL other than that his performance was dreadful and I think that Bale stats were better then him that season despite that he didn't play that much now he is showing up his muscles against teams that doesn't worth what PSG paid for him alone. For Madrid it's possible for them to continue to play without Cristiano if Bale man up and takes his role but it will be much better if they brought a striker to help with goals I don't think that it's great to rely on Benzema alone.

First real test for Real Madrid , playing without Ronaldo and outside the home field I am sure it will not be an easy game for Real this one. I think that Girona will try to play defensively in order to try and keep Real from scoring and probably will have their chances with counter attacks.

It will be a good game to see on TV and also a good one to bet on Girona +2 in handicap mode.

Yes and actually he was good but not as nearly good as Ronaldo and Messi. He got few impact for the team but even without him on the team then Barcelona should be fine but it is a different story for Real Madrid.

It is never good to rely on one striker, that means you are pushing his stamina to play alot of match and risking him to be taken down by an injury, thats a worst thing that could happen to him

Yeah, you are right. They don't need Ronaldo to play at top class, but, in my opinion, they do need some kind of adition to their current squad. I don't know, maybe they manage to convince me that I am wrong, we will see.

Levante - Celta Vigo : for this match I feel that the hosts have better chances to win especially when you see their manager Jemez made them stronger and at home alongside their fans they should not disappoint also the visitors Celta have a shaky defense and more likely to concede goals so I'm going for a home win for this match while for Athleco Bialbao against Huesca it's possible to see the visitors grab a draw since that Bilbao is not nearly as good as they used to be before and I doubt to see them finish anywhere close to top 6 this season.

But it was Girona only, not Barca, not Atletico, but just mid table team - not the best indicator. I don't think that we can judge from this game, especially when we saw UEFA Supercup game that Real aren't unbeatable. Without replacement for Ronaldo, I don't believe that Real can win La Liga and UEFA CL..

Atletico Madrid team always perform very bad when ever needed, and now they are going more worse, i won my bet on under 2.5 goal bet as always their match go very less goal. Even they took one red card.

It was indeed a poor performance from Atletico, considering the fact grizeman stayed back and Costa is fit. If they continue delivering such poor performances, then I don't think they're genuine title contenders. I don't think Ronaldo departure has effected Real Madrid form or this thread, infact Bale and Benzema have revelled after he left, in particular it's benzema I'm surprised, he's scored so many goals.

Atletico Madrid lost against Celta vigo by 2-0.It's a shocking result because i thought Atletico madrid have the best squad after barcelona in current la liga.I hope they will show better performance in upcoming matches.

OTOH,Real madrid is looks in very good shape.They got all 9 points from their first 3 matches.Bale in great forms alomg benzema.Isco was magical last night and Asensio was bit divert from his shape but looks okay.I must say Lopetegui is a well-qualified manager.But Its a long way to go for him.Good luck.

It is a really terrible start,,, but so many big teams have done this badly. Thinking about Manchester United on the other side who have lot 5 points in the same 3 games. I still think Athletico can afford to drop points like this, and not have Barca and Real climb up the way City will in their league.

Of course, incredible disappointment and I always get so frustrated I do not watch football so much but when I do, it makes me so angry.

Barca conceded early goal against Huesca, but then goal fest started - Barca scored 8 goals and won match 8:2. There was nice gesture from Messi when let Suarez to make penalty kick.
And amazing derby of Sevilla between Betis and Sevilla which was wone by home team. Amazing atmosphere, great fight. Betis don't have good start of season and this win is very important them as they wanted to prove that they have best team in city.

Ridiculous score for a first division match. Real Madrid and Barcelona already have a 5 pts lead with the other big teams like Sevilla and Atletico, and Valencia seems to be in pre-season, they have yet to win a single game.

Sounds to me like this is going to be one of those boring seasons with just Real Madrid and Barcelona fighting for the league title, not the i'm complaining since I'm a Real Madrid, but I expected more from the other teams...though it's the start of the season so things can change in the future, but still...

very big win for Barcelona today but they need to get used to such a performance in the case of the 4-3-3 as they will be most likely to continue to play with that formation they will score good amounts of goals but they should not be so reckless on defending Huesca is a very poor team and they managed to score two goals imagine if they were facing a better one but it have been a good match for messi as he became the first player of the 21st century to make 151 assists in the five major leagues, beating Cesc Fabregas (143), Massoud Ozil (128) and Cristiano Ronaldo (122).

For the champion of La Liga, i'm sure it will Real Madird or Barcelona but for other cup like Spain cup or copa del rey, other teams still can compete.
