I would guess that it is a bit of a financial decision as well. City spent some amount to get Haaland, and they will pay him a sum as well as salary, so that means they are going to end up with a player that will cost them something. Selling Gbariel Jesus for a sum to get some of that Haaland fee back, plus getting rid of his salary to cover some part of Haalands salary as well, would be a good idea.

This is why other teams are attacking to get Jesus, it would be a good deal for them to do it right now, I mean even next season wouldn't be such a perfect time. City should sell him, and maybe store that money for a potential future transfer they could have.
