I think they are placed where they belong more or less. The teams in front of them have better players overall, but Atalanta has shown some outstanding performances in the past seasons. That led to adjusted expectations I think, but if all teams in the Serie A player at their best, I would rather put Atalanta at rank 6 or maybe 5. If they rank higher, it is usually because the other teams didn't deliver. There is Napoli, AC, Inter Milan, Juventus, Lazio, Roma, so perhaps Roma and Atalanta are quite even.

It is my belief that the performance of teams in the top four was not good enough to put them at the top of the table, even the perforce of Inter Milan, and the main reason why we see Napoli taking over the top spot on the table is because of the poor performance we saw from the other teams. In my opinion, Atalanta has lost a lot of points this season against other teams and I do not think they will ever achieve a better position.

no, it will most likely be difficult due to several factors that happened in these two teams, I mean these two teams have quite different performances this season.
