Keeping Osimhen will be in their best interest. I think it was clear from the start that Napoli will have a difficult season. Juventus have to win the match they play tonight. If they win, they will have a great advantage this week when other big teams are losing points.

This big defeat under Verona signals a very difficult season for Napoli. Conte is a coach who can lose control on himself, his players and easily get conflict with club president and top bosses too. The score line was unexpected, and I wouldn't have bet that Napoli would lose to Verona by this goal margin. The former champion controlled the game but created few chances. Even the chances that were created brought no good results. Verona had had four shots and target, which resulted in three goals. I don't know the rationale behind benching players who are yet to complete their transfer move. It is because the club wants to protect them from injuries or make the team get used to their absence. It's not the start of the season I imagined but at least Inter, AC Milan and Roma gave fans something to hold on to with the one point they were able to achieve, unlike Napoli who lost woefully to a side that won less than a dozen times last season. This defeat showed that Napoli will be below expectations this year because they conceded three goals and could not score. What does this show us? Napoli are weak in attack and weak in defense. Therefore, reinforcements to the team should continue before the end of the transfer window. If they have to sell Osimhen for this, I think they can sell him for a reasonable price. Inter Milan had an amazing performance, even though they were behind by one goal, they fought back and scored two goals, if it hadn't been for the penalty, Inter would have secured the three points, and after the goalkeeper saved the penalty, Junior Messias got the ball and scored to draw the game.

On the other hand, Roma failed to score a single goal against Cagliari, a team that escaped the relegation zone last season, I expected Roma to win the game because they had already signed a new striker who was the highest goal scorer in the previous La Liga season, I hope Lukaku's absence has no impact on their performance this season.

Conte has lost his first game of the season, but he has won 5 of the 6 pre-season games they have played so far, and many people praise him. It is not an exaggeration because after all they recruited Conte with a good desire where Napoli wants to improve their performance to be better than before and we know what Conte's capacity is like. I was actually one of those that rated Conte when he signed for Napoli. I thought he was going to find a way to strengthen his team and make sure the players there didn't leave, but I suspected he didn't know what he was doing when he demanded Lukaku as his main striker. Maybe in the past when he worked with Lukaku he was sharp, but right now. which managers asks for Lukaku in 2024?

I will give them the benefit of the doubt since it's only the first game and since they have gotten quick players like Neres but as for their striker they need to look for a better option than Lukaku. I think it's almost certain that Osimhen will leave so I guess that ship has sailed. I won't advise him to remain since the relationship with the club has already gone sour, but he should make a better decision on his future.
