As far as I know , the project of Inter Milan with that super massive boost was only for 2-3 years max and we're in the last year of this boost. I think some of the board managers and CEO left as well, then Conte left too and now it's time for some players to leave and start a re-build around the existing players. However, I still expect Inter to do well in Serie A but I don't know about UCL... .

I'm not an Inter Milan fan, but for Eriksen, I also wish the same thing. He is too young to retire. He still has a chance to feel the champion with his club. if indeed Eriksen decides to retire, I hope, in the future he can still coach the club and become a successful coach by awarding trophies.

He can play but not in Italy. As I know, Italy don't allow sport athletics includes football players who have serious cardiovascular problems to play. Eriksen can not play in Premier League as well. I think he can return to Ajax Amsterdam and continue his career there.

It's because of Inter Milan's current financial crisis and some of the board had to be willing to leave him, but I don't know when this will end to be a definite recovery. I hope Inter Milan still has great players to keep competing in Serie A.
I also really doubt the new coach Simone Inzaghi but there is still hope with the main players still in the squad especially Lukaku and Martinez and maybe in the future there will be changes so that they can perform better in the UCL.

I totally agree because of what you said. One more reason to make a retirement is his age. He is no longer young and is in the end of his career. Retire a few years earlier than his plan before that accident is not too bad.

Life is too short and from what Eriksen experienced, I think he does know what a life means. Playing a few more season won't help him richer and won't improve his life too much. Of course it is his life an he has to make his decision, between football and his career, and his life and his family.

I hope that medical doctors give him strong warnings that can help him to think of early retirement.

Many many sports people usually end up playing at least one more season after big injuries or health problems like this if they can to say that it didn't ended their career and they ended their career themselves afterwards, maybe few more seasons if they are younger but usually one more season if they are older because it is really hard feeling of the game being taken away from you, hence why people feel like playing at least one more season so the game is not taken away from you just yet, you have the option to give up later on and that power of giving up is a lot more important.

I am sure he is going to play one more season wherever he can but it will not be easy, it will take some time before he can play at full capacity, I think he may never even play at %100 ever again, and maybe one or two season more at max, then he is definitely gone. I still would rather see him retire, there is no reason to risk it.

Inter Milan are unlikely to sell Lukaku and Martinez now. Antonio Conte should not have been allowed to leave like this. He was a very experienced coach. It remains to be seen how successful the new coach Simone Inzeghi will be with this team. But I don't think Inzaghi is more experienced than Conte.

@Altryist it’s unfair to blame Inter Milan no one knew how bad covid would effect them, and when you blame them what would you say about Barcelona who’re in a worst situation. Furthermore Inter Milan owners showed great ambition by backing Conte, but due to covid a financial disaster was bound to happen but hopefully in coming year’s they’ll bounce back.

China is like that and Inter Milan are owned by Chinese corporation. They don't make sustainable plan and we are in the ending of the boost as well as a start of collapse.

A massive migration of their star players will make their results worse that in turn affects their income. If the owner can not solve financial problems, sooner or later, Inter Milan will be collapsed and they will have another owner.

It is a trend in Serie A when ownerships change to the US., Chinese corporations but if I have to say what owners are best, I would prefer to say owners from the USA.

I do not really know about Chinese expansion plans and all, but we have seen Arabic owners do a lot better for sure, and Russian ones as well. It is really weird feeling to know that many of the clubs in the world right now are owned by people who are not from that nation, premier league teams owned by non-British people, Italian teams owned by non-Italians. In that case I have the feeling that do you really think a person who has that much little connection with the team would really care after a while? Maybe that is the case.

Look at Leeds United story, they were gone, and a huge Leeds fan ended up buying the club, surely got a lot of investors but they came back to premier league by sheer love of the club and doing whatever they can for it. I have heard as well that Eriksen has a chance to get back on the field. But its unlikely to happen. This is a serious problem and when this happens 99% of players never play any sports. He bearly survived but to comeback is a big deal and will need big luck and really good health

Even if tests will be ok Eriksen with the actual law cannot play in Italy anyomre.
The law is very severe here for these cases and he can't play here any more unless they change the rule for his situation but until now we have no rumors about it.

I don't think anybody expect him to play again after we saw that incident. If he comes back that would be a legendary moment. I just hope medicals analyze his situation right and don't give wrong decisions. Health is over everything.

Inter already replaced him and signed Hakan Çalhanoğlu. So far he is doing great in friendly games. His national team performance was pretty bad this summer but whole Turkish team played awful so I can't blame him. Last year Inter did something important and broke Juventus domination. It's just that the Chinese owner of Inter has big problems in business and he would probably be happy to sell the club if there was a decent offer. This owner even disbanded his club in China, which was the current champion, because of the difficult financial situation. Also, the Chinese government already disapproves of its businessmen who invest in foreign clubs to the detriment of local clubs. In any case, if the investments of foreign owners allow the club to develop, and not to drag out a miserable existence, then this is only worthy of approval.
