Yeah the defeat won’t have any negative impact on their standing but it is likely to halt Napoli's attempts to reach Juventus' record points total of 102. Apart from that there should be no worries for Napoli however, with Napoli still 15 points clear of second place Inter and on 65 points with just 13 games remaining. The defeat to Lazio is just a reminder that no team is ever invincible and Spalletti will just have to make sure that there is no late season collapse with the club on verge of winning the Scudetto.

Honestly that never really made any sense to me anyway. I get that it would be a lovely thing to have, but why would you even want to go for that and push your players too much. They are still in UCL right now which is a proof that we are talking about a team that is still going to fight for something, Serie A is not something they need to work too much for, they already got that and they won't face any situations there, it's done.

However, UCL will be pretty hard and likely that they won't win it neither. I think it is much better to forget about the record, and just focus on UCL at this point, put all their best foot forward there to get as further as they can.

Napoli is still 15 points ahead of the second team on the table. Even after losing the last match. So nothing is actually bad that's going to happen to Napoli. They are not going to face almost any problem in the league at this point. And just look at the goal difference as well. We will understand that Napoli has been so dominating if we just look at the goal difference.

UCL is another story. UCL is not going to be easy. In the next UCL match Napoli will play against Frankfurt in witch they are ahead 2-0 on aggregate. So this is supposed to be a win for Napoli. But it will get a lot harder from the next matches for Napoli.

Spezia play against Inter which possibility it will very difficult to get at least one point from that top team, because on the paper Inter can certainly steal three points easy from home team. Meanwhile, Verona will play against Monza, could be the home team will get three points to get out of the relegation zone and be above Spezia in table, although Verona was previously defeated by Monza, but seeing at currently standings points it seems Verona squad will be motivated on that match.

Seeing the competition from the bottom teams is also sometimes interesting how they are trying to get out of the relegation zone, it seems that for the team that will go down next season, only 1 place remains and it will be intense competition between Spezia and Verona, the difference in points between the two teams is only 3.

The other games are not that spectacular this weekend except maybe for Napoli vs. Atalanta. If Atlanta can take away points from Napoli and Inter Milan win their game, the advantage of Napoli would actually start melting a little bit. It is still not much, but 17 or 18 points sounds different than 12 or 13 points. Even then though nobody would expect this Serie A season to end in a close race for the title anymore.

I've been an AC Milan fan for as long as I can remember. I love this club with all my heart, and I always bet on them to win, no matter what the odds are.  I know that betting on my team can be risky and it's utterly stupid but hey, we won the league last season.

you are not stupid it's just that you bet on something that you like, sometimes for this I always set aside the club that I like, especially if the club that I like meets and fights a favored club I usually won't bet for them, but if it's against a club that really not at all underdog I'll bet, to be honest it's really risky to bet all the time with a club we like, but strangely we are unconsciously willing to do something we like

It's absolutely fine to be a passionate fan of a particular club and to also believe in what that very team can do even when very few people does but while rooting for our darling clubs we should be very cautious in mixing it our emotions with some certain realities while betting. While betting, one is expected to be more factual in approach as to come out victorious at the end. AC Milan is a very big club with rich football history but that shouldn't stop them from being wiped tonight by Tottenham Hotspur of England.

To get a ticket for the Champions League next season, not in the top five but in the top four, and at this moment Milan is still in fifth place in the Serie A standings. This means that Milan still can't be sure of getting a ticket for the Champions League next season. But even so, the points for second, third, fourth and fifth positions in the Serie A standings are still very close so that it is still possible for Milan to compete to be able to finish in the top four.

With these considerations in mind, I personally really believe that the four teams will not really be able to be consistent in winning every match in Serie A. So, competition for that position will of course continue until the end of the season.

Monza's weakness is that they are not able to play consistently. and that makes it quite difficult for them to face Verona at home. even though Verona is not a strong team, they can get a draw from this match. Monza is the favorite but they are also sloppy at times. so a draw score will be better in this match or maybe Verona will take the initiative to excel from the early minutes which will make Monza's game chaotic. but overall I see this fight as 50:50.

I haven't watched any of these two's matches this season, I don't think those two teams have caught my eye so far.
Napoli, Inter, Juventus and Milan are the teams that made me watch Serie A for several seasons. The 4 teams I mentioned have something good to look forward to, especially since they are big teams which allows me to get some of their matches on the betslip.

I didn't watch the Verona and Monza match although they played the top 4 teams above, but surely some of us might know a lot about them so far. The home team's chances of winning are better, but Monza seems to have good form to be expected to win the match.

every club has different skills and enthusiasm when playing in the seria A league or in the Champions league so don't equate it with that, even though losing to fiorentina doesn't mean that Acmilan is a weak club and is not favored against tottenham later especially Acmilan also has a chance to qualify compared to Tottenham, I will bet on Acmilan's victory in the Champions League later

It must be really frustrating for Juventus to lose against Roma after a good win streak in the league recently. Because they missed a big chance to decrease the gap with Atalanta to only four points in the standings. After being punished they have lost a lot of points you know and they are just trying their best to climb to a decent position. Their job is not easy at all maybe but it is quite possible for Juventus to capture a spot for a European tournament next season.

Especially Atalanta's out-of-form look is helping them a lot. Actually Juventus will have another chance to get closer to them this week. Because Atalanta have an away match against Napoli. I don't think they will get a point. In the meantime Juventus should be able to destroy one of the weakest teams in the league - Sampdoria.

it all depends on the game that will be implemented by Milan. they are already ahead but playing at home to the Spurs will not be easy. they have the support of fans and also the power of Tottenham's attack line cannot be underestimated.
if Milan chooses to maintain their aggregate advantage by playing defensively, that could be a weakness for Milan. Tottenham is strong enough to play at home, if Milan is wrong in taking the strategy at the start, this could be bad for Milan.

They don't have to win, because a draw is enough to make them in the quarter-finals, but will they be able to withstand every attack launched by Tottenham or not. For the Napoli vs Atalanta match I think this will be a normal match for Napoli, even though Napoli lost against Lazio before I think they don't really care about that and for sure they are ready to get all 3 points to make it safer to win the Scudetto this season and even if Atalanta can beat Napoli, I think it's still a long way for Inter to compete with Napoli.

This season, Ac Milan has performed at their highest level in serial A. But their best is still insufficient. They lost to Florentina, which is really disappointing because they wasted many opportunities and lacked confidence during the game. Yet when they faced Atlanta, they showed their superiority. It was quite remarkable. It's incredible how Atlanta couldn't get a shot off. Milan, in my opinion, is back on track. This season, they have given outstanding performances. I wish they would continue their strong teamwork and performances.

Even though Napoli lost the previous week, I agree with what you said because seeing the conditions, Napoli are actually still in a state of high confidence.
On the other hand, seeing Atalanta's current performance which continues to decline, I think this is another factor to say this is a normal match for Napoli.

It is not important for Napoli to lose anything, even though they are up against Atalata because they are still 15 points ahead, and even if Inter Milan wins all of the games, Napoli is still safe in first place in the league. In order to prepare for the Champions League match against Eintracht Frankfurt which may be a far more important match for them than Atalanta, it might be a wise move for them to give some rest to the players they need.
