I was a great achievement for Atlanta and Gasperini. They won the game against a team like Leverkusen while Leverkusen didn't a single game after 51 games even against much stronger teams and now a team like Atalanta with Gasperini could beat them while I was not expecting to see this coming for them.
If I'm not wrong the last time Atalanta won the Europa League title was 61 years ago and now after 61 years they won this tournament again while none could ever expect to see them beating a team like Leverkusen in this situation.

Actually in recent football Atlanta happens to be the only Italian team to have won the Europa of which is a record that even top Italian team have not been able to achieve Ina very long time, the likes of Juventus, inter Milan and the other top teams which actually get to be top teams in the Italian league, they do finish at top four most times in the season so they haven't been able to qualify for the Europa or winning it.

I'm sure it never occurred to Atlanta they were going to be able to achieve such a goal at the beginning of the Europa league games untill the point they got to the semi finals where they were fixed against Liverpool them they taught it was going to be the end of the game for them but I think beating Liverpool was the greatest unlocking of their potential because since after then they got to play differently than they have ever done since the beginning of the season, they developed a new and all inclusive tactics that got them the kind of results they have desired the most.

In their second leg against Liverpool they employed a whole new tactics that got to work for them so well that they used it against Leverkusen and it still yielded the kind of results they have desired to get by the end of the game and lifting the trophy was the highest point of their achievement this season as they got what felt bigger than their domestic league title for the season for the first time in a very long time.

This should be the case because this season Napoli are far away from the competition and this is due to the management's failure to find the coach they need. Next season will be more difficult and maybe Napoli's target is not as far away as you are talking about, but if the coach's support is still the same then we doubt they will be able to make big changes for next season. I didn't know what went wrong in the team but they made the biggest mistakes of their life by letting the coach that brought the cup to the team go, they should have given him more time to better the performance of the players and right now the team plays like they don't know what they are doing as they will keep losing focus and matches if they can't get a good playing pattern because nothing is working in the team. They need a total turn around because they have the same number of players they won the league with them last season and not qualifying in any European competition best season, I think they need a manager that will work on the team and ensure they compete with other teams next season.

I don't think I can say that, not really a major overhaul would solve them problems, at least they still have players within the club who wants to still show what they've got.
