First, your stats for Osimhen's goals is not accurate. He has scored 76 goals for Napoli so far and he scored 17 for Lille in France, not 14, but that's btw.
Since Osimhen has not played up to half of the games Lukaku has played, you can't compare just by goals. You have to use the goal ratio. If you notice Lukaku played 278 games in the epl and scored 121 goals, and Osimhen has scored 76 in 108 games, that shows that Osimhen's ratio is more impressive than Lukaku's.

If you compare Lukaku's serie A to Osimhen's, Osimhen is still better because I'm pretty sure 76 goals in 108 games is better than 70 goals in 129 games.

When people say Osimhen hasn't proven himself, I don't understand what that means. He scored 17 goals for Napoli despite them having one of the worst league seasons in a long time, he scored 31 before that. We've watched him perform time and again but you still say he hasn't proven himself, what more do you want him to do? I don't believe Lukaku is a better player than Osimhen currently. Osimhen gives you more than just goals, he plays with the team. He joins in the build up of the attack, he's also a hard worker. Lukaku was part of the reason Belgium got eliminated in the Euros. He waste too any balls. Any ball that gets to his feet gets wasted. I agree he knows how to score goals, but if he's not in a goal scoring position he can't do anything with the ball. We saw how instrumental Osimhen was for Nigeria in their afcon, I can't say the same for Lukaku in the Euros. To be plain you're right because if you pay close attention to how he displayed for Belgium in the European Championship, to simply put it, he had a subpar performance. Depay? I mean he is free agent now so it is too easy to sign him. However I'm not sure whether Inter really needs him. Depay isn't playing that productive anymore before anything else.

When it comes to what Inter needs, I believe it isn't a CF anymore. Because not only Mehdi Taremi but also Arnautovic signed a permanen deal with them. There are already 2 backup CFs in the squad for Lautaro and Thuram as a result.    Inter can just improve the squad depth in some other positions that is in need for real. Their main lineup is already great to go for another Serie A title. I expect them to go for a back-to-back.
