Inter Milan have to be one of the most consistent teams in Europe in the last two seasons thanks to the managerial exploits of their manager Simone Inzhaghi. Last two seasons in the Italian Serie A, Inter Milan weren't that impressive as Napoli was flying high in the league that very season but Inter Milan still managed to reach the final of the UEFA Champions League competition which they narrowly lost to eventual winners Manchester City. Last season, they managed to up their game in the league which resulted to winning the scudetto.
As the defending champions if the Italian Serie A, I strongly believe that Inter Milan is still the favorite team to win the league title come next season because they still have over 85% of the players that helped them win the Italian Serie A last season as well as Simone Inzhaghi who has mastered the Italian league.

I don't think it has competitors at the moment, in Italy obviously.
The other teams are looking for their own identity and have neither strength nor consistency.
Milan is also going through a reconstruction and the friendly match certainly didn't go as well as expected.

I know that Inter Milan is the team dominating the Serie A tournament. Last season, they finished early and left the other teams by quite a distance in points. From smart shopping, and playing hard to not having any really strong competitors, Simone Inzaghi's mark helped Inter Milan win the Serie A championship for the 20th time in history.

If the player you mean is Victor Osimhen, then I think Napoli still really deserves to keep him in the squad next season.
