We have seen that Dortmund was unable to use many of their opportunities in this season. They played as if they don't have the hope that they can overtake Bayern Munich at anytime. They were just playing that way.
There were alot of controversial refereeing in matches that would have favoured Dortmund. Atleast I witnessed it in one match I watched.
The best way for Dortmund to overtake Bayern Munich is if there is a fixture between Dortmund and Bayern, they will give there last shot. Is there such a fixture?

Is that a strange thing? I don't think so because every season is like that.
Even if they are improving but they can't do anything significant to tackle Bayern in the title race.
not only this season but from previous seasons it's like that too and I don't think it's too strange now that they don't put significant pressure on them.
Bayern's dominance continues and to date there will be no team in the league to stop that at least this season. but if it continues like this it is not impossible that next season will be the same

Agree with this Dortmund missed too many opportunities in this season and one thing also correct there is something wrong in refereeing as well because most of the time we have too much favor for Bayern Munich in this league which is helping them to control all things very easily, but sadly another big issue is Dortmund management never been serious about their title fight mostly they love to have their big profit from selling players and buying upcoming stars on very low price they need to change their mind as well because with this attitude they have never been good for win this league title but good thing happening now we have some good fight from Leverkusen, Leipzig and Hoffenheim which is good and this can create some healthy competition for Bayern Munich in coming season.

Currently, we have very interesting competition for end of season and spots for Champions League with four teams fighting hard for remaining two spots which is going for very healthy end of this season.

Well this is a pretty difficult match for both teams, Dortmund and Leipzig are almost the same in the statistics for the last 5 matches and indeed this will definitely be quite an exciting thing to watch.

You are very very correct in your football analysis you made above. Dortmund has many issues to solve if they will win the league even if not this season but next season. Dortmund is behaving like Arsenal under Arsenal wenger. If arsenal wenger could qualify Arsenal for champions league he is OK and good to do. He doesn't care if he wins the English premier league and he doesn't care if he leaves the champions league any time. He was busy recruiting and selling players and making gains for the club. He in some times buy low and sell high like crypto  . It was going well till Arsenal became hungry of trophies.
But my hope in Germany is that if Dortmund refuse to give good fight against Bayern Munich, other clubs will be willing to. Let us watch the competition Leverkusen and others till the season ends and hope for a better season next football year.

I literally agree with you Dortmund is one of the best teams in bundesliga they are good when it comes to play, but not consistent in winning, they are good in attacking but their defensive pattern of play is poor, they easily conceived goals when pressures from their opponent. The team are one of the good contenders for the title but not a match for Bayern, the team needs to work on their pattern of play, setup a suitable pattern of play to avoid conceiving goals easily.
