Freiburg has played a really great season. Goalkeeper Mark Flekken has played a big part in that. What perhaps not everyone knows is that he was called up to the National team from Netherlands this year by Louis van Gaal. He is currently goalkeeper Number 3 there. He was playing in two friendly matches at the end of March. Against Germany and Denmark.

Freiburg still needs to win the last match in the league because the team that is behind them is only behind by 1 point and they can easily surpass Freiburg if Freiburg loses the match. And Freiburg has the match against Leverkusen which is a really strong team this season. I think this might be a draw and I am not gonna be surprised if Freiburg ends up losing the match.

Leverkusen has been in good form in recent weeks. They don't make defensive mistakes very often anymore. Freiburg suffered an unexpected loss of points last week. I don't think they will play defensive football when the two teams are in this state and at the end of the season. A fun and high scoring game awaits us.

Considering Leipzig managed to pull through, Freiburg needs to at least keep that fifth position, not that they won't be able to, because they are good enough to do it, but it would be a difficult task and it would be very upsetting for the fans who expected 4th and possibility of a big cup, and then drop to 6th instead.

The money difference is a lot as well, being 4th must mean a lot more money than being 6th by the end of the year. That is at least FM thought me, I remember clearly fighting for 8th spot in premier league, which meant nothing in the grand scheme of things, but mattered to me because it meant more money given to me and more money to spend on transfers lol.

With current situation most chances Freiburg will be at fifth and Leipzig will be at fourth because now we have only one match left into competition and Leipzig is going to face Arminia Bielefeld which is clearly the worst team in current season and having no win last ten matches is poor from them with this all now Leipzig is clearly favourite and can dominant this game with now Freiburg is having tough game against Bayer Leverkusen which is already at third spot and at home they have no good record with few loses in last matches but most chances they will try their best for ending this season at high note.

I think actually only leipzig and freiburg are competing to qualify for the champions league next season, while union berlin might only compete with freiburg for a position in the european league, that's why i'm not talking about union berlin because indeed leipzig have a bigger chance to play in the champions league next season compared from freiburg or union berlin, I believe that the last game of the season will not change the position of leipzig, freiburg and union berlin in the standings because they only face weak teams.
