Stuttgart has lost quite much blood in this transfer window already so far. Hiroki Ito, Waldemar Anton and Serhou Guirassy have all left for Bayern Munich and Dortmund. They couldn't sell Guirassy for a big amount because of his release clause. Ito also was sold for an amount below his market value but the Anton deal was better than both.
They have signed many CBs after that for cheap prices but let's see. More importantly, they have found their replacement for Guirassy: Ermedin Demirovic.
He had good stats in the previous season: 15 goals, 10 assists. Still not a Guirassy though.
But who knows he might also improve his performance after this signing. It was a €21m deal by the way.
It's interesting when talking about Stuttgart because they managed to be in 2nd place in the Bundesliga last season which made their players in great demand and in the end they had to lose the players who helped them achieve a very good position in the Bundesliga. I think they have prepared for that, because when they manage to play well their players will start to become targets of other teams and they have felt that now.
In my opinion, their preparations for the next season will be a bit hampered, because they have to look for players who are ready to fill the void left by several players in this transfer window. Or there is another option they can do, namely by developing potential young players, even though that is a very difficult thing.
With the departure of several key players, I hope they can still maintain their performance like last season, because they have now become a new hope in the Bundesliga competition. Many people are starting to believe in them to be in the competition at the top.
