How do you see Leverkusen this season? Do you think they can become champions without losing a single game again? In the Bundesliga I mean.

They actually had a huge unbeaten streak which must be over 50 games.    But it finished by Atalanta in the Europa League. Otherwise they could have carried the streak to even this season. Xabi Alonso has gathered all the attention on himself as a result. Personally I believe this season won't be the same. It is just too difficult to maintain such form for two-season long.    Plus, I would really like to see a title competition in the league this time.

I doubt Bayer Leverkusen could do the same record as the previous season. Even though they have most players in and the same coach but the other teams, mainly Bayern Munich, will not let them pass them the way they did in the previous season.
Xabi Alonso will try to prove himself again as a top coach and the first game will be against M'Gladbach which is lagging much and could not be understood.
I expect Bayer Leverkusen to win in few hours.

It turns out again that Leverkusen, like last season, like to score after the 90th minute if they draw or are behind and my bet that I placed in injury time has paid off thanks to this behaviour. I bet on Leverkusen's next goal!

Winning a game in the 11th minute of added time is not just "after the 90th minute" it is something more outrageous, especially considering that it happens to them regularly.
I support Bayer and want them to become champions again, but to be honest, such results are starting to make me depressed - probably someone has already become a millionaire betting on Bayer after the 90th minute, and I am just watching  

I think there is something behind the performance of Bayer Leverkusen that people are yet to understand, like how's the team able to come up with such momentum to always keep pushing to make sure they get the winning goal after 90 minutes plus? We saw them become champions last season with this winning after the 90 minutes strategies but no one believed that they will start the new season with this same energy because what I witnessed today still shows that Xabi Alonso and his boys aren't going to joke with the league this season because they look more ready than last season.

Some bettors would off course take the winning advantages of Bayer Leverkusen to win really big but today I took a big risk by placing a bet with the option of GG+2 in the Leverkusen game and I was lucky to see F. Wirtz scoring the last goal to keep my 4.25 single bet green.

We just need to see how far Xabi will continue to make Leverkusen a club that is difficult to contain because after all, the expectations for Leverkusen are still very high so this will make the pressure even more difficult than the pressure they received last season.

It is too early to judge their performance since we are just starting a fresh season, we don’t expect even the underrated teams to be so lose to be defeated easily by the big teams.

You are right for saying that it will be a bit hard for Alonso and his players to replicate their same performance of last season again this season; I don’t think they can do it because their pattern of playing has been monitored since towards the ending of last season, which is why they usually win or draw their matches towards the end of the game, but it’s normal that’s why we kept mute. But with this performance today, wining at the end of the game, I think they don’t have the squad depth to repeat it and they fail to sign new players thinking they have enough squad to win another Bundesliga forgetting that they have Champions League and other competitions to play.

The match has just started and only 15 minutes have been played in this match. Leverkusen has already been able to score in this match. And the way they are playing I think Leverkusen is going to win this match. I know it is probably a little too early to say that. But I am confident that the defending champions are going to get three points from this one. The first goal has been scored by Xhaka on the 12th minute. Interested to see if Boniface will be able to score in this match or not. He was in really good form in the last season. I hope he will be able to continue from where he left off in the last season.

Bayer Leverkusen need to win games in a more convincing manner this season, they do not need to continue to depend on last minute goals and the luck they have with scoring late goals because it will not always work and may fail them in a very important game. They won the game but to me it is not a good result because having a two goal advantage and then losing it almost to the extent of dropping the whole point completely, it is not a good start they were just lucky today, they will not be lucky another day and their luck may not be enough for them to defend their title this season if they do not improve.

It must be admitted that Leverkusen is still covered by luck, a fairly dramatic victory with a final score of 3-2. Signs of decline have not been seen from the squad coached by Xabi Alonso, his cool hand is still working very well, at least for the first week of the Bundesliga. Florian Wirtz confirmed that he is a player who can make a difference, and in my opinion his quality is in accordance with his current market value. Last season was incredible for Leverkusen, without a doubt it was something that will be in the club's history. But I doubt very much that what happened last season will be repeated, just look at that in Leverkusen's first game in the Bundesliga it was a game against a weak opponent, but on the field Leverkusen had a lot of difficulty to win the game, they conceded 2 goals and were very lucky to benefit from a penalty in the final minutes of the game, it was thanks to this penalty that they managed to score the third goal and win the game. Now imagine what will happen when Leverkusen plays against strong opponents? They will probably lose. Of course we need to see how Bayern, Dortmund, Leipzig will also do when they play

When Gladbach finally scored and VAR cancelled the goal, I knew it was going to be an even more interesting match because the whole momentum and fans were behind them. Too bad they didn't get a point from this game because they really deserved it. Part of what made Monchengladbach have a bad season last season was because they conceded too many goals in every match. They concede at least 2 goals in every match and they have started that way this season. Although they played well, considering their opponent, they shouldn't be conceding that amount of goals if they want to compete properly this season.

I also don't see a decline in team performance of Leverkusen. They still dominated the match and made many attempts. But Xabi Alonso needs to make Leverkusen game be more effective. The shot accuracy of the players should be improved. So, they won't miss so many chances and can optimize every chance to be goals.

Bayern Leverkusen’s final minutes goal scoring can no longer be a luck again but what they’re actually meant to be always. They can’t be so lucky and keep the consistency for too long like this. They’ve shown a great performance and that alone is a sign that they’re also fit to contest for the league title this season just like they did in the previous season and won the league title. Bayern Munich may still be their biggest rivals but with the way they’ve coordinated themselves till now and the change of manager done at Bayern Munich, they still stand a better chance to win the league title. I only doubt their capability to win the trophy with an unbeaten streak like last season but they’re surely going to be great again this season.

M'Gladbach did resisted very well against Bayer Leverkusen which supposedly had to win easily. And as I mentioned, M'Gladbach is a laggy team which makes it unpredictable.

We can't be certain about what they can do or not do in this season as the season is still fresh and promising for LL teams in the Bundesliga. They did a great job last season when nobody had expected and now every football fans expectation on them has been ignited beyond the normal which for me I think it's very much of a responsibility on them.

In tonight's 2:3 victory against B. Monchengladbach we saw how tough it was for them and it was only out of their usual resilience that got them that late winner goal from  Wirtz  at 90+11 minutes. For a performance from a team that wishes to double their  Bundesliga championship it wasn't convincing and impressive. Xavi Alonso would need to sign in new players to solidify his team because the competition has only just began and he would need a few  quality players as backup for uncertainties like injuries and fatigue as they compete both in the Bundesliga and the UEFA champions league.

You say pure luck? In football I don't think there is anything like luck or pure luck, if you know how to play you know how to play and these Leverkusen guys and the coach are just good, they know how to handle the pressure when it's on them. This is business as usual my brother, they are just good and nothing more, it was 2-2 and I said to myself that this game isn't over yet, FT 2-3 and you call it luck, no I don't think so.
The Leverkusen team may not repeat all they did last season but I can tell you for free that they'll be the ones to cause so much heart break to teams in the Bundesliga and the champions league as well, their style of play is something we hardly see these days, check the team they don't have the likes of Ronaldo and the Messi but they play as one, nothing special but they are just special in their own ways, congratulations to Alonso and his boys and what a way to kick off the Bundesliga.

Borussia Monchengladbach 2 - 3 Bayer 04 Leverkusen

It was really quite worrying, I really thought the final result would be a draw and was quite disappointed with them. But in the end, oh that was a very good and satisfying kick from Wirtz, this was his umpteenth kick, but in the end, he was able to score his second goal for Leverkusen as the winner at the end of time.

Although it was postponed because of smoke billowing on the field which reduced the visibility, in the end, the match was able to run smoothly again.
