I don't think the board of borrusia Dortmund did made a mistake, it's been in their policy the trade of players be it their star or not, they make good profit of it and at same time are able to breed new set of players that still helps them stay a float such that they always maintain decent stance in the table most often than others does. What I see is happening at this time is the change in the era and breed of players such that what was applicable before may be fading away except if some adjustments are made to get it suiting into the new era least they get the team setting back with their performance and results.

Whether it was a mistake or not, it was a strategy for Dortmund to benefit financially.

I saw the match earlier, it seemed like Bayern Leverkusen's defense was lacking focus. With the new form of qualifying to the round of 16 in the Champions League, I think Alonso stands a chance to qualify to the round of sixteen if they perform strongly as they did last season. The teams in the competition are all strong teams, and are all prepared for another season, therefore, I cannot exempt any team from advancing to the next round and we can’t take Leverkusen ahead of them because they couldn’t qualify to the round of sixteen the last time they played in the Champions League.

Although Alonso changed somethings in the team to make them stronger than they used to be since they are able to win the Bundesliga title without a single defeat, they performed better than both Bayern and Dortmund since they are also able to make it to the Europa League final even though they couldn’t win it.

I hope Kompany makes difference. I want to see Bayern Munich back in the title race in the Bundesliga. While Xabi Alonso's team are doing great things I'd love to see a title race between them next time.  

I'm sad for especially Kane. A great player individually but still trophyless... He still has many years ahead of him before thinking about retirement. I hope to see him winning trophies here.

When it comes to the champions then it does look a bit monotonous where only Bayern can do that without any other club lifting the trophy but when it comes to performance in recent seasons especially for some unexpected clubs I think the Bundesliga is actually quite interesting.  In the previous few seasons we always saw how some small clubs like Feriburg or Union Berlin always did quite well and were quite surprising, for last season it was a difference even though there was no Freiburg and Union whose performance last season had decreased but there were several other clubs like VfB and Leverkusen who were quite surprising so the season was still very colorful for the bundesliga.

This season, Bayern will still be the main candidate to become champions but even so of course we now expect more from Leverkusen who last season played very well in order to display the same performance. At least that's our expectation to make the competition in the Bundesliga even more interesting.

Leverkusen were favoured to win the league last season, and Xabi Alonso is still coaching next season, and they did not sell any of their key players, so I believe they will continue to do well and probably win the league trophy again. I'm not sure what Dortmund's main problem is; they are good, but they sell their key players to another club, and they will perform poorly later on without winning any trophies. Currently, Dortmund still has vital players and will cooperate with other clubs in the league, but I can't say if they can win the Bundesliga next season but they will try there best. Munich or Leverkusen can win the league in my opinion let see how the season will go if they will get new challenge in other club in the  league competition.
