Looking at the champions league they have a good chance at a very good and probably healthy start and this is because their first opponent isn't a very tough one, they have an opponent that are relatively competitive so if they have their tactics right, Leverkusen would be able to kick off their champions League journey with a winning game. Leverkusen will have to strive hard to match the performance of previous season. This new Champions League format? Brutal. Still, do not count them out. They possess the hunger as well as talent. They still have the quality players since they retained most players who made them champions last season. What is certain now is that they will not maintain their unbeaten run this season since they have already lost a game. The Xabi Alonso side was defeated by RB Leipzig making them to lose three points. The league is competitive with good sides like Bayern Munich with some of the best players in Europe. The surprising leader of the table now is Heidenheim, while Leverkusen is in the eighth position.

Yeah there is still much hope for Leverkusen as the league is merely beginning so it is too early to tell that they won’t be a contender this season. They are just 3 points behind league leaders after losing their last game to Leipzig at home, it’s a shame if you ask me but but i believe they would definitely improve their game and correct any mistakes they have made.
They really have the advantage by retaining most of their players despite various teams showing interest in their players and also they are lucky to have not lost the coach as well Xabi Alonso that received lots of offers from bigger clubs but still chose to stay.
Let’s wait and see how they will react to the loss after the international break, they don’t look sharp like last season but they still got the players and the potential to still challenge for the title.

Leverkusen would have had a chance if they had only been focused on the domestic league. However, since they have shifted their focus to the Champions League, they are unable to devote the same amount of energy to their home league, which would have resulted in significant differences. In my opinion, Leverkusen lacks the energy necessary to maintain a strong lead in either league, and the Champions League is worse because of the level of pressure they will face to effectively manage both. Alonso might be in a tight condition this time around we know Alonso might be the one with the brains but this is about capacity and a lot of clubs are looking more capable this season, it will look more challenging.


Bayern Munich are the one people are even expecting more from because of their new coach and they are positive that with their new coach. Will be at their rescue and they will be able to get back at their feet.
Kompany looks like still does not look like who is going to win the Bundesliga for now their are more reason to this his new and this is first attempt of leading bayern and this might be a season for him to fix and Improve the club that should be like the starting point for him, to focus on winning the trophy might just look like a set back for him.
