It is very sad news for Bayern Munich surely. He will not only miss Leipzig game but also both games of the CL draw. Maybe Leipzig could see this as a good advantage and manage to win the game also.

It is sad for Bayern Munich and for Robert Lewandowski maybe to break the all time record with the most Goals in a season. Guess it will be not possible for him to score so many goals in the last games , and nobody can say wheen he can play again next. Its good for Leipzig for sure but yeah Bayern has other good players so it will be an intresting match for sure.

Yes, it's good for Leipzig but I don't think Bayern Munich will suffer Lewandowski's absence too much given the numerous amount of great replacements they can count on. It's true thought that it's unfortunate to him as he'll not be able to make it with breaking the record. On a completely different note, Bundesliga please come back!

Leipzig is making a big impressions in the competition so far. their backlog to Bayern Munch is acceptable. there are still many matches to follow. and because they already terminated in the Champions League they might get hungry to win the title in the Bundesliga
It would be very interesting to see them challenge Bayern for the Bundesliga title this season and eventually win it. Exiting the Champions League should given them the required time and focus that they need. They are also out of other major competitions if I'm not mistaken too.. It would be nice to see a different win it this season. Tired of seeing Bayern as champions season after seasons. Leipzig has a good chance at winning it and I really think they should. Meanwhile, I think Leipzig has a serious chance to win the Bundesliga championship. After Lewandowski's injury last week, the top striker and top scorer is no longer available. Without Lewandowski, Bayern would currently only be 4th in the table (if you subtract his goals and assists). The other strikers can not compensate him in my opinion, neither Gnabry, nor Cupo-Moting, nor Müller. I'm curious how the Bayern lineup will look in the next match.

That just shows how fragile and volatile professional sport is. A week ago i was 95% sure that bayern will win against leipzig and also confident that bayern will advance into the semi final in the champions league against paris. Now their best player is injured out of nowhere and now paris is the slight favorite in my opinion and the race for the bundesliga title is also completely open again. It is also sad for lewandowski on a personal level because it looked very much like he would be able to beat gerd müllers old record of 40 goals in one season what most people thought was impossible. I guess those people were right in the end.

Player injuries will greatly affect Bayern Munchen in that match and this is a great opportunity for Leipzig to win the match. Leipzig's mission is to win and cut the difference in point with Bayern to 1 point. But don't think Leipzig will win easily even if Bayern lose some important players. Is this a decisive match? I am sure the Leipzig coach has prepared his players well for this match, which is sure to be a very interesting match at the weekend.

According to bundesliga.com it looks like Lewandowski might miss out all games within next four weeks. This could make the race for the championship interesting again, Lewandowski in his current form is simply not replaceable and an important factor.. In his current form, he was on track to beat Gerd Müller's all-time record for goals scored in a single season - that might not work out now, if he has to sit out for so long. Robert Lewandowski will miss Bayern Munich’s top-of-the-table clash with RB Leipzig on Saturday and will be sidelined for up to a month after picking up a knee injury on international duty with Poland.
The Poland captain scored twice in his country’s 3-0 win over Andorra in Group I of 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifying on Sunday but was then taken off after 63 minutes.
Lewandowski had already officially been ruled out of Poland’s meeting with England at Wembley on Wednesday and returned to Munich, where he underwent further medical examinations by the club doctors.
On Tuesday their diagnosis was confirmed as "a strain of the ligament in the right knee", according to Bayern's official website, meaning the 32-year-old will miss Bayern’s top-of-the-table clash with Leipzig on Saturday, as well as their UEFA Champions League quarter-final tie with Paris Saint-Germain, with the first leg taking place on Wednesday 7 April.

The problem is that he does not suffer a lot, so Bayern is used to being there for 7 years. Gnabry is kne of the candidate to replace him if he was absent, and this would mean a complete change in the offensive ideas. L'Equipe confirmed that Leva's chances of playing are greater than his absence.

Maybe its possible for him that he will be fit and can play for Bayern Munich in this game against Paris , but its a high risk for him if he gets injured again in this match. If that will be happen so i guess then it was it for him for playing in the german league and to break the record of the scored goals. For sure is a half playing Lewandowski better that no one but if that is right i dont know , but we will see it.

Oliver Glasner and his boys do not get the credit they deserve this season, from 7th last season to third this season is a remarkable achievement nobody talks about in the media, take a look at Dortmund the most overrated club in the league are 5th and 14 points behind Bayern and 8bpoints behind Wolfsburg who are fighting for a champions league spot. It's been an incredible journey for them for far. We may see Wolfsburg play the European football again if they continue this way.

It's definitely true what you are saying. Wolfsburg is in third place at the moment and yet almost no one is talking about them. Other clubs like frankfurt, gladbach and dortmund get way more media coverage despite being behind wolfsburg. That also has to do with the fact i think that wolfsburg is no club with a long tradition like the other clubs and therefore is also not having that many fans. I also think though that wolfsburg is pretty happy that they are not in the main focus of the media and that they can still train relatively relaxed everyday without being observed.

Those details matters a lot in CL. Even his absence in a single game might be detrimental for the possibilities of the team to pass to the next stage. PSG is a top team and one of the candidates, Bayern is the previous title holder. Much pressure, odds are better for Bayern although Lewandowski's absence. We will see what Bayern can do first vs Leipzig this weekend!

here again are all the players (from both clubs) who will be missing from tomorrow's bundesliga top match leipzig vs. bayern:
missing on the leipzig side: Angelino, M. Halstenberg, K. Kampl, K. Laimer & D. Szoboszlai missing on the bayern side: J. Boateng, A. Davies, Douglas Costa, R. Lewandowski & C. Tolisso
both clubs are missing important players... but i still think that all the absences can be compensated well and it will still be a top match. both clubs can win the match, but the pressure is of course on the side of red-bull leipzig...

RL is a very strong striker and he can become another Ibrahimovic who can play at top level in nearly fourties. No limitations for strong players like Ibra, C Ronaldo or RL. They can prolong their forms for long if won't be destroyed by serious injuries. Ibra still is able to come back after a serious one in Manchester United that makes people thought it is the end of career for him. here again are all the players (from both clubs) who will be missing from tomorrow's bundesliga top match leipzig vs. bayern:
missing on the bayern side: J. Boateng, A. Davies, Douglas Costa, R. Lewandowski & C. Tolisso
It seems the return of Douglas Costa is not good for him. He does not play well and his contributions are restricted by injuries. So does this update mean RL will miss this round of Bundesliga officially? Very surprise to see Schalke 04 is struggling at bottom of the table. They will have to fight very strong in rest matches to avoid delegation to Bundesliga 2.

You also have to take into account that kimmich, goretzka, gnabry and sane had to play 3 full matches over 90 minutes within the last week in the national team. Esspecially in the last match against north macedonia it was obvious that those players all seemed to be very tired already. Now they only have like 2 days to recover before the match against leipzig and only a few days later they have the match against paris which is probably even more important to bayern than the match on saturday. So i think it is highly possible that flick is not starting with at least 2 of those 4 players that i mentioned to save them for the match against paris.

I agree, Schalke 04 is on the verge of leaving Bundesliga for good this season. As you can clearly see even a blazoned team like that of Gelsenkirchen can suffer a huge humiliation like the one the are force to witness this year. Schalke are tearing themselves apart.
