They had more chances towards the end in my opinion and fortunately they were able to win towards the end because it was a crucial minute and Dortmund managed to score there.

Thats how Soccer can be and is , specialy when it goes into the last 10 Minutes or 3 - 4 Minutes of the game and no goal is scored.
The best example for that is Frankfurt as they have managed to win and score there goals the last weeks in the last Minutes.
And so they have done today in the Euro League against Real Betis , they scored the final goal in the last ( 120 Minute ) and now in the next round.

Dortmund thankfully got the thing they wanted from the Mainz game. They were victorious by 1-0 at the end. And these three points are really important ones now. Because they are now only four points behind Bayern Munich officially. This is really exciting to me. We might finally see a real competition between Bayern Munich and Dortmund in the remaining time. But Dortmund really need to have a very consistent form from now on to keep up with them. Although Bayern Munich have started struggling, they are still the most reliable team.

Wow, yea, they actually did it and won the game. Looking at the remaining games, Bayern and Dortmund have fairly similar opponents (at least when looking at the current ranking). The next 2 games are against teams between ranks 4 and 8, and could be quite difficult for both teams (e.g. Freiburg vs Bayern in 2 weeks or Koln vs Dortmund next week or Dortmund vs Leipzig in 2 weeks). Then they'll have 2 "easier" games and after that they play each other in Munich. The last 3 games are relatively easy again.
I still doubt that Bayern will lose many points in the remaining games. So the only way to beat them is to 1) also don't lose many points and 2) win the direct duel (which will be hard as Bayerns will play at home)

It is still hard for Dortmund to reach the championship of course. Bayern Munich are still advantageous now a lot. And Dortmund still don't seem to be trustworthy. Especially in the der Klassiker, I don't expect Dortmund to win that. They couldn't defeat Bayern Munih even in Signal Iduna Park. I don't think that they can do it in Allianz Arena while it is a very important game for Bayern Munich too. Dortmund will just hope that Bayern Munich continue to make mistakes in the other games. And Dortmund should keep up a good work in the meantime too.

Dormund needs to indeed work very hard. They have been struggling in their matches lately. Dormund only scored 1 goal each in their last 2 matches, which was played against weak teams. Although, they are presently just 4 points behind Bayern Munich, and might be able to catch up with Munich. But , that is if they probably improve their performance and win their games more consistently. However, Bayern Munich next match is against Union Berlin. Which seems like an easy winning for Munich.

Dortmund are in a really interesting situation right now. They are four points behind Bayern Munich now and the rivalry is on again. And I see that these two teams are going to play one more time against each other in a month. If Dortmund somehow manage to get a good result in that match, they could turn the tide too. Now, they are going to be hoping for Bayern Munich to continue to make some more mistakes until that match. Dortmund's taking the lead is going to be depending on that and their consistency too.

With yesterday's victory from Mainz, again opening up dourtmoud's opportunity to compete with Bayern for the title this season, tomorrow night bayern will host union Berlin, maybe on paper Bayern can win easily, moreover they play at home, while dourmond will face Koln in week 27, if dourtmoud can play consistently until the end of the season I am very sure dourtmoud will be a serious threat to Bayern, hopefully dourtmoud remains consistent until the end of the season.

For Dortmund I think they struggle because of the number of their players even though they have Erling Haaland on their side it is still different when they have a full force of players, and Erling Haaland has recently comes back from his injuries, so I think he is not in his 100% performance that time, but with Bayern's case I really think they are just slacking of a team that is on the top for almost every season, would just wants to cool of for a bit and they are on the lead anyway.

I want to say, the Dortmund team can win the title if Haaland plays well and scores. More than that, Bayern Munich need to lose points. Even if a strong team like Bayern Munich does not lose any points in the upcoming matches, it is not surprising. Bayern Munich have lost points in the last two matches. Dortmund will have a chance to win the title if Bayern Munich lose points in the next matches. However, Dortmund's future opponents are strong. They must score full points against Koln and Leipzig if they want to win the title.

Well, Erling Haaland is always injured and many accused him of having a one track mind, but all Haaland wish is to be injured free, and not having to show for every game that is crucial could surely hit something for him, he said that he only wants to be successful in everything that he does, and if he can commit to every game Dortmund have why not, but again he can not control his injuries and what may happen in the future.

looking at the rest of the current bayern munchen matches it looks like there is no match that has the potential to make them slip up except when they meet dortmund on week 31, yes indeed they in the last few games they continue to get negative results but i think we will see bayern munchen soon rise when they face Koln, even though Dortmund have a close distance with Bayern but I doubt that Dortmund will be able to take 1st place at the end of the season because so far Dortmund have often been inconsistent in the important matches they played.

The reason why there is a small gap between them is that there is only a gap of two points between them now. Bochum are ahead of their opponent in the standings.
