RB Leipzig and Union Berlin almost booked their tickets to the Champions League and it was a nightmare weekend for Freiburg. There is a little chance left for Freiburg when they win the next game and RB Leipzig loses against Bayern. Which is probably one of the most exciting games of the season anyway between Leipzig and Bayern because all the past games left aside, this one might decide about the German Bundesliga title. Can they stop Bayern?

If not, Freiburg could get back to equal points, but their goal statistics are a huge disadvantage compared to both Union Berlin and Leipzig. That makes their situation even worse. But it was a strong season from them anyway.

I do not think so, as Freiburg still have equal chance for the top four as now we have one of the toughest match Bayern Munich vs RB Leipzig which will allow Freiburg to jump from fifth to fourth because Bayern Munich is going to win this match and Freiburg will also have good time against Wolfsburg which will allow them to have fourth spot and last round match is going to be interesting as Leipzig will host Schalke and Freiburg will visit struggling Frankfurt for the last match of this season and this will decide who is going to jump for the top four and spot into Champions League competition for the next season.

Union Berlin is surely had better chance for top four as well because now they have next match against struggling Hoffenheim and then have last round match against Werder Bremen which are relatively easy games for them and having top four rank in this season.

I am not sure we are looking at the same table, but I provided it here again and maybe you can explain to me how you derive the conclusion that Freiburg has equal chances to reach the top four.



Is it me or does everyone agree that Freiburg has equal chances to finish top four?

They have worse goal statistics , which means that they will lose any comparison between them and Union Berlin and Leipzig and they are three points and four points behind with two games left, respectively. I have issues detecting the tricky part here that makes you think Freiburg has equal chances. Please explain it to me.

I wouldn't say they have the same chance to be in the top 4 at the end of the standings, but I would rather say they still have a chance to finish in the top 4 at least for now. In arithmetic calculations, UNIon Berlin only needs to win 1 more game to lock their ranking in 4th place, because it is certain that if they have the same points as Freiburg then they will be superior in terms of goal productivity. It's the same with Leipzig, they also only need to win 1 more match to lock their ranking in the top 4 of the standings. Maybe Leipzig will have a very difficult opponent next week, because they will face Bayern Munich.

Niggelsmann wasn't a bad coach you know. Tuchel was given the position because the management and the club believed him to be a solution to the miniature problem Nigglesman was having that time. But I haven't seen a significant thing Tuchel will do that would have seen too difficult for Noggesman Tuchel not to act fast and end the season with a title.  It is not going to be a good thing if he is out of all Europa trophy ways

Both goals came by penalties. Stuttgart needed a win rather than that but it is still better than losing of course. Besides Schalke lost to Bayern Munich you know so Stuttgart were still able to get closer to them in the standings by this result. The competition for the play-out position between them will be quite tight on the remaining two game weeks.

Of course the coming of Tuchel does not correspond to the team management planning to bring someone new in order to win the Champions League which it did not happen and they were destroyed by Manchester City there.I think that Niggelsmann could have also won the Bundesliga as he was leading with Bayern not losing the lead at all,while from the coming of Tuchel things changed for the worse as they got out of Champions League and at a certain point they lost the lead of Bundesliga where now they are just one point ahead of Dortmund.Not the most successful move I would say from Bayern management this time while usually they do great moves.

It's strange that yesterday the bookie actually favored Stuttgart to win over Leverkusen and I think that's quite reasonable considering the list of injured Leverkusen players. But I thought that even though there were these obstacles Leverkusen should have been able to win this match, but indeed the match ended more in a draw and actually that was quite good than not getting even one additional point.

This result has made Leverkusen fail to replace Wolfburg in the standings and it seems that Leverkusen will try again in the match next week because they do not want to lose their place for the upcoming European league qualifiers and they must qualify considering that even now they are still active in the European league competition and are so close with the finals.

Leverkusen's performance against Stuttgart was not good. Not only this match, but Leverkusen's performance has also been poor in the past several matches. Even against Roma, they were not able to perform well. Even the Leverkusen team has managed to win only one of the last 5 matches in the Bundesliga. Given their erratic performance, I was not at all surprised by watching Leverkusen's poor performance against Stuttgart. Leverkusen's offensive performance this season has been relatively poor. Leverkusen scored 80 goals in 34 matches last season. But they managed to score only 55 goals in 32 matches this season. A Leverkusen team would have been stronger if the attacking performance had been regular.

Has no fear for what? Missing points is the biggest fear from the players of dortmund and bayern right now. Missing points meant no trophy this season. It's very hard to say if bayern and dortmund will be losing at the same time. I hope that leipzig will be creating a miracle for dortmund. This will be helping dortmund to get bundesliga trophy from bayern. Im really boring to see bayern is always winning the league again and again. It's the time for dortmund to take bundesliga from bayern this season.
It will be the end for bayern if the club gets draw or even lose against leipzig. I consider leipzig as a strong team that can't be underrated right now. I hope that timo werner will be on fire. It will be helping dortmund to take trophy as soon as possible.

Yes it was a tough game for them despite being so much better and dominant than their opponent, leipzig team has a striker issues this season werner performance has been unstable but as a whole the team is pretty impressive they don't have big names but they still managed to grab the third spot and they will likely play in the champions league next season.

I haven't seen a better performance from Leverkusen in the last few matches. I thought the team might have focused more on the Europa League matches. But Leverkusen lost the first leg against Roma. Leverkusen's performance was also not good, Leverkusen did not play well against Stuttgart. They scored the only goal of the match from the penalty spot. I don't think the Stuttgart team is strong. This team is in the relegation zone. So I expected to see Leverkusen win. But the Leverkusen team failed to win. I look forward to seeing how Leverkusen fares in the second leg of the Europa League.

In fact Leverkusen recent play has left a much to be desired. It appeared realistic to anticipate a higher performance from the team particularly in light of their participation in the Europa League games. However their defeat to Roma in the first leg was disheartening and it looks that their attention may have been split. Their poor performance against Stuttgart a team that is now in the relegation zone underlined their problems even more. Concerns about their offensive capability are raised by their lone goal which was scored from the penalty spot. As a result it is normal to feel both excitement and apprehension as the second leg of the Europa League approaches. To overcome their recent inconsistencies and realise their full potential on the European arena Leverkusen will need to reorganise and find their rhythm once more. To see if they can rise to the occasion and give a more convincing performance both fans and observers will be closely watching.

Just leipzig and köln left for Bayern, and we all know that they are good enough to beat those two teams easily in normal situations. I can't guarantee a win of course because it's football and sometimes we are wrong, but I feel like that is not going to be an issue at all, they will get a win. I think the best thing we can do at this point is to make sure that the world continues as we can, and that should be a lot normal.

We are not going to end up with anything bad or anything, but we need to make sure that we can get more firm grasp of the situation at hand, which could be something more careful, like not betting huge amounts on Bayern wins, I think they will, but no reason to risk it that way at all, we can move further along.

I don't think Leipzig would be able to turn things around or at least the game would end in a draw. but in the 87th minute, Willi Orban was able to equalize and right in injury time, Dominik Szoboszlai scored the winning goal for Leipzig. well, what a victory that can not be separated from luck. speaking based on statistics, both in the first and second half Leipzig completely dominated the game. even technically, Leipzig is much better than the opposing team.

Leipzig had a fantastic win against Weder Bremen, I will not accept the word "narrow win". Union Berlin started the season very brightly, they were the most improved team in Germany during the start of the season. They had a draw and wins against some top teams like Bayern Munich and Dortmund then later del along the line. Lately, Berlin had missed out on the top 3 races ever since their defeat against Augsburg.  Leipzig's win against Werder Bremen wouldn't have been a problem to Union Berlin if they had won against Augsburg

The best teams in the Bundesliga so far are Bayern Munich and Dortmund.
