Because they didn’t expected that kind performances from them as they take the team granted and the team where able to give Bayern Munich pressure after they comeback to second half, but at the end of the match Bayern Munich make it to the quarter final after they secure three points against FC union Berlin with a struggle that’s great achievement for them they really want to take this cup that’s why their very serious to make sure their journey gone far in the DFF cup.

I was following the match of yesterday and I was amazed how the goals were entering as if they were going to play a draw. They even cancelled some goals for Bayern Munic which I thought was bringing the match to a draw but Bayern Munic were lucky to lead by just a single goal margin.

For the Bundes Liga no one doubts their strength and no one doubts that they can't win, Munich will definitely get the championship again in the Bundes Liga, but in the Champions League with yesterday's defeat it is quite a pressure, losing to Arsenal with a score of 3-1 it is very unexpected, thinking that Munich can win it well but the Emirates has its own cruelty to beat Kompany's men there.

But we know Arsenal are sometimes bad, on the way to the end and that is an opportunity for other teams that are more consistent and stronger in their last times, Bayern Munich does not have a big burden in their domestic league, their victory is inevitable and can focus on the path that makes them able to win the match in the Champions League, that is the advantage that Bayern Munich has, as now Munich can be at the top of the standings with a difference of 8 points from second place, while Arsenal continues to be chased by Manchester City.

I was going to bet over 2.5 goals on the Mainz 05 vs. Mönchengladbach match, but I'm glad I didn't. It's half time and there still hasn't been a goal. Maybe there will be 3 goals in the second half, but if the pace of the first half continues, that seems impossible. Mainz hasn't even attacked. Mönchengladbach hasn't found the net.

In the Bundesliga, Leverkusen is unlikely to lift another trophy, as they sit in fourth place and have a significant points gap with Bayern Munich. Therefore, if they can perform optimally in the DFB-Pokal, they might still have a chance to achieve that. Although it won't be easy for them at all, as Bayern Munich still poses a formidable challenge.

The chances you are looking out for Leverkusen in this fixture is if it happens that Bayern Munich actually takes the DFB pokal less seriously, if they are very serious with this competition, they will still push Leverkusen away and still win the title even as Leverkusen is trying so hard to win thr title. If they are lucky, this could turn out  to be their only chance  this season to lift a trophy in Germany because I really do doubt  they will win the Bundesliga or even have a chance at three champions league.

The Bundesliga seems to be in their hands, and I'm sure Kompany will still be able to win it, too, given how far they've come. If they're aiming for a treble, they need to win the DFB-Pokal as well. This will make Bayern Munich even more serious, as they should be. And you're right; if they continue, Leverkusen will be in trouble.

Anyway, regarding Bayern Munich, the good news is that Luis Díaz's suspension for the Champions League match was finally reduced, from three bans to just two. This will bring good points for Bayern Munich.

Union Berlin probably knows well how to face Bayern Munich. They used a very defensive tactic but they play in an aggressive way. If they have players with good in physical, it is very possible to make a pressure on Bayern Munich although they have quality players. Even if they are in a deferent level, they have the same number of the players in the field.  

In DFB Pokal match yesterday, I agree that Bayern Munich was just lucky winning against Union Berlin. They actually only scored 1 goal (Kane's goal), 2 other goals were made by Union Berlin players (own goals). Union Berlin really dominated the match, they just have poor of shoot accuracy. I personally really appreciated how Union Berlin played in the match (they've tried their best).

It would be very right to say that Mainz would surely go on relegation this season after their performance with M'gladbach at home if they continue this way. They have only secured one win in their 13 league games. Even though the season is still young with more games to come, I don't think Mainz stand a chance this season. Their next league game would be against Bayern Munich away and I will say it's a game that will leave them with more goals to pay for.

But then, with Mainz conference league performance so far, there could be a turnaround in the league too. They seem to be focusing on the European competition this season with 3 wins in their last 4 games and a promising 4th win in their next game against Lech Poznan who are down below the table. I think Hoffman needs to understand that their chances of winning the European conference league is also tiny and then try not to get relegated at the end of the season.

I'm surprised someone said Bayern Munich weren't favored last season. I suspect those who say that haven't followed the Bundesliga closely as Bayern Munich has been favored almost every season even dominating.

When Kompany's team nearly drew against Union Berlin, it doesn't mean they were bad. It's natural for Bayern Munich to struggle to win in one or two matches due to fatigue from a busy schedule. Furthermore Union Berlin performed very solidly in that match, playing cautiously, preventing many mistakes. This made it difficult for Bayern Munich to score. But despite the difficulty they continued to press and Bayern Munich ultimately secured the victory. In fact I'd say Bayern Munich's performance has continued to improve this season, and they are an undefeated team. They are favorites in both domestic competition and the Champions League.

Maybe he feels they’re doing well for a small club and even at that there’s no way their performance is good, it’s just like when Burnley were playing in the EPL last season, they were tough to beat but they just narrowly survived the league.
They’re not doing any good job but they’re just surviving the league one day at at time.

Today we have interesting games: Augsburg Vs Bayer Leverkusen: I think Leverkusen will win this one.
VFB Stuttgart vs Bayern Munich: Stuttgart is playing at home they will prove stubborn but Bayern will sure find a way to win or draw.
RB Leipzig vs Eintract Frankfurt: This is gonna be another interesting game, I’ll just sit back and enjoy this game.

This was a surprising result for me, I thought Mainz would get their second win of the season here, as Mönchengladbach was terrible for most of the season and only started to score points in the last few games. Mainz now have 6 points left after 13 rounds and it looks like the prospect of relegation is becoming increasingly real.
Today I expect a lot of goals (total over 4) in the game Stuttgart - Bayern, I don’t think that the upcoming game with Sporting in the Champions League will knock Bayern off the pace of total destruction.

Mainz is a strong team and I like the way they are playing but in the match against Mgladbach they got defeated, if I was the coach I will not worry the defeat because the team tried their best. Bayern Munich is playing against Stuttgart and I expect the match to be a tough match because Stuttgart is not a small team, Stuttgart is also having a good season in the league, Bayern Munich last three matches have not been good, although they won some matches but they struggled to win the games.

Kompany should not bench his best players because of the upcoming Champions League match, he should use his best players and win the match, struggling to win matches have made some people to not believe in them again because they concede early goals, if Kompany underestimate Stuttgart, they will be surprise with the result after the match.

Leverkusen will not finish like last year, or the year before obviously, they are not going great. They hired ETH at the start of the season when it was obvious he is a terrible manager, no idea why they did that, no idea what they were thinking, so this season will just go to recovering.

Considering the money they have spent this summer on players who are not worth that much, I would guess that they are going to have some trouble with the way things are, shouldn't be easy and should take a while. I think it's clear that we are not going to see them be any good. However, they may get better next season, with a better summer, and a better camp, that would not be a bad one and could be a decent situation for them next season.

They played 8 games, drew 5, and lost only 1. That's not a bad result. The problem for many people is that they don't see that in the season Leverkusen became champions, it was because they were lucky that Bayern and Dortmund were going through tough times, but in the following season, Bayern and Dortmund started to recover, and so did the other teams, so Leverkusen couldn't become champions.

It's not because they are weak, it's because their opponents have become stronger. This season they don't have performance problems, they are winning games, but their opponents are also winning games, which puts Leverkusen in 5th place, but they are very close in points to the top teams.

You just made a point here, Bayer Leverkusen have been a good club, they lifted the German Super league cup last season and even remained unbeaten throughout the season. This time, they have strong contenders that did not allow Leverkusen to overshadow them and despite their position in the league table, they are not performing badly. The German Super league is still heating up and I believe if they continue with their present performance, they may not lift the league cup this season because of the force of Bayern Munich and Norris Dortmund but will still retain a good position on the German Super league table.
