Leipzig is a strong team. But they loose to union Berlin this evening, the game was really tough, but it’s a surprise to see that Union Berlin scored three goals while Leipzig who are at the second position, it’s really surprising, I expected that even if Union Berlin will score gaols, it shouldn’t be this much against Leipzig who are sitting at the top two of the Bundesliga table. Leipzig need to work on their  team, if the continue like this they will loose their position.

So Leipzig isn't a strong enough team after all. They have an expensive squad, but you can't say they play very well. Union Berlin was a team they should have beaten, but they couldn't manage it. Now they'll lose second place too. Dortmund is already a stronger team. Even if no one can catch Bayern, Dortmund is still the biggest contender for second place in the Bundesliga. We'll see in the Freiburg match, but as in the last 7 times, Dortmund is highly likely to win again.

I’m very disappointed with the Leipzig performances today against FC Union Berlin I don’t expected that they can find the match very difficult, but in deed with the FC Union efforts they where able to put in much pressure on the Leipzig and dominated the match with a wonderful 3 goals which was as great achievement from them. Imagine Leipzig everyone know that their in a good form this season, because they’ve been doing well in almost all of their games that they’ve play so far; but due to their inconsistency they lose to a that are not powerful.

I turned off the TV when the first half was over because there was nothing interesting to show from both teams, especially Leipzig, who was the favorite team here, had difficulty developing the game, but the surprise came in the second half after I got the notification, not quite believed it turned out the surprise came from Union, they played like they were playing against a relegation team, it was annoying why Leipzig played like that, it seemed Leipzig underestimated their opponent today.

As for Dortmund, unfortunately, they didn't play optimally this time. Borussia Dortmund played with a strong offensive style and threatened Dortmund. The Dortmund players were disappointed, but they failed to win, as Glimt was also indeed better in terms of play and possession. But fortunately, they only shared the point.

I do not like the fact that Dortmund is beginning to tred the path of inconsistency so well recently, I usually suppose they will be like Bayern Munich because they did have that form like them, Leverkusen was only building such in recent times ap it did not seem to me like they should be given the expectations of looking like Munich someday, anyways Dortmund did slacked at some point in this game and got this poor result.

Unfortunately, Dortmund is still inconsistent in every match. Their performance is sometimes good, but sometimes quite unsatisfactory. In the DFB-Pokal, they lost to Leverkusen. Dortmund even faced Leverkusen in the Bundesliga before, but lost in the DFB-Pokal. Well, they'll see how they perform in the next match against SC Freiburg tomorrow.

By the way, the opening match is Union Berlin vs. Leipzig.
I was quite surprised that Berlin defeated Leipzig 3-1. So, if Dortmund wins, Leipzig will be replaced by Dortmund as the second-placed team.

You are right in being disappointed at Leipzig. It is good point that team that has such expensive squad should have easily beaten Union Berlin, and it shows issue with team not playing all time. This failure means that Leipzig will probably lose their second position since Borussia Dortmund is better team and main club that will be competing to secure same position after Bayern Munich. Since Dortmund has won past 7 matches against Freiburg, they are given chance to win again and this will see them secure second position, which will show that Leipzig is not spending much of money to get its results.

I expected the Leipzig guys to have won their match against Union Berlin but did they? No they didn't despite they have a good team with expensive players but they are not playing well together as a team against other teams else they should have beaten Union Berlin easily but they end up losing to Berlin with 3 goals to 1 yesterday. When Burke scored at 57th minutes for Union Berlin and Gomis equalized with a counter goal in just interval of 3 minutes, I thought they have gotten the spark they were looking for to win this game only for me to see another goal from Union Berlin's Ansah after three minutes and Sparke's finishing goal at the injury time. Now they will be losing their second place in the table knowing fully well the Dortmund guys are just a point behind and will be meeting with Freiburg tomorrow for a feature. I know Bayern Munich are till at the very top level and will be difficult to catch up with but Dortmund looks like the best team to fight for the second place at the end of the league.

It's too early to be writing off teams at this point of the season. There is still time for any team that is not doing well to recover, Leipzig showed that last weekend by scoring six goals. Any team that can score six goals in a single match has what it takes to play any team and challenge for the league title. The likes of Leipzig, Bayern Leverkusen and Dortmund can give Bayern munich headache if they can take the challenge.

Leipzig is one team that had a lot of potentials when they gained promotion some seasons ago with the way that, they were playing in was tipping them to win the bundesliga title by this time. But they have failed in their recruitment process. They have turned the likes of Leverkusen and Dortmund that only produce players and sell to the bigger clubs and struggle season after season.

If you say that it's never too late for any team that's performing poorly to improve their performance and fight for a place in the top four of the Bundesliga or fight to remain in the Bundesliga this season, I will agree with you, but if you are of the opinion that it's never too late to write the teams in the Bundesliga off from challenging Bayern Munich for the title, I disagree with you because as far as this season is concerned, no team in the Bundesliga can stop Bayern Munich from winning the Bundesliga title.

I understand you if you believe that Bayern Munich is always the favorite to win the Bundesliga based on the quality gap they have giving other teams but if is based on just pure possibilities then I think you are wrong because if anything can believe and work on it to get ahead of Bayern Munich then it could be possible.
It won't be easy to stop Bayern Munich from winning the German Bundesliga but their is still enough time for any serious team who are interested in lifting the title to do something to overtake the leader.

Dortmund has to show a reaction after their weak Champions league performance some days ago, also they should use Leipzig's loss yesterday to further establish themselves in the top 4 of course. Leverkusen is basically in the same boat. But the fact that they SHOULD win those games doesn't necessarily mean they will.  Dortmund especially has a tendency to throw away good opportunities, just like the did against FK Bodø/Glimt.

I didn't watch this match, but I know that Derrick Köhn had an important contribution to this home win. After getting bad results in their previous 3 matches, they finally got 1 good result again which was special, because they managed to beat RB Leipzig. With this result, Union makes Bayern Munich's path to the league title easier, currently the difference between the two teams is still 8 points, soon we'll see 11 points difference.

Bundesliga is in 14th round, but title race is already ended because Bayern Munich is in good control no team going to challenge them for this top spot in last night game defeat of RB Leipzig is not surprising because they are losing their rhythm and have issues in attack. Leipzig's performance has been a bit erratic. They  have lost two and drawn one of their last five matches. And that is why they are likely  to lose second place in the table. Leipzig is only 1 point ahead of dortmund. If they lose any of their upcoming matches , they will lose second place in the table.

No team will likely compete with Munich for the bundesliga title. Leipzig is 9 points behind Munich. And even if leipzig loses second place in the table, it will not be  difficult for them to stay in the top four  and qualify for the champions league. So even if leipzig loses  second place in the table, it is  not a big loss for them. Leipzig has no chance of winning the title anyway.

It is not that Leipzig is not a strong team, the problem was with Union Berlin that are not an easy team when you visit them in their home. They pick challenge whenever a big team visit them which was why they almost disgraced Bayern Munic who struggled to get a draw in their hand. Although, Leipzig have not been that great at away, they have lost certain matches they should have won like the match against Hoffenheim in which they were also beaten by 3-1. That is something their coach have to work on, if they should continue to remain within the champions league range.

2.19 odds for Borussia Dortmund to win at Freiburg? That's a tempting option and I totally understand why you decided to go for it. Freiburg for a fact is one of those German clubs you can't really predict. They might not be consistent but just when you think they'll be easily beaten, they come up with their best game and shock you. However against Borussia Dortmund, I think you made the right call for choosing a straight win the Dortmund.
For the Leverkusen game against Koln, it'll most likely end in a win for Leverkusen. Koln have been too inconsistent this season to come to the Bay Arena and secure a point against an in form Leverkusen.

All the goals scored in the match were in the second half. There were no goals in the first half, making the first half clearly less interesting to watch. But the second half was truly exciting because the two goals scored by Union Berlin players were very close together after Leipzig managed to score one in the 60th minute. And another goal for Union Berlin came in the final minute of the match, so Leipzig was completely helpless against Union Berlin in that match. Now Leipzig's position in second place in the Bundesliga standings will be seriously threatened by Dortmund, who currently sits in third place in the Bundesliga.
