By the way, all nine (9) S7's are doing great with very low HW errors and all 9 units are at least 4.8 TH/s and above @ 600 MHz. I refuse to do any over clocking of these rigs, as I want them to last me a LONG time.
I have 8 of them hooked up to IBM 2880W PSU's. I only had to reboot half of them to reduce the HW errors from 0.1XXX% to 0.00XX%. I went ahead and hooked up the 9th rig to two (2) Corsair AX860 PLATINUM PSU's. The hash rate was low and the HW errors were high at initial start up. Once a reboot was done, the hash rate is 4.837 TH/s and the HW errors are 0.0019% now after 20 hours and 40 minutes of mining.
Over all, I'm VERY pleased with the performance of the S7's. I will post snapshots of the "Miner Status" for all 9 rigs [After 24 hours of use] to show what those who order in the future can expect in regard to performance. I cannot hook up to a watt meter, as my meter went "cur plunk" on me about 3 months ago. However, my "metered" 240 Volt PDU's read 10 Amps for each breaker on the PDU. I have two (2) S7's hooked up to each IBM 2880W breaker of the 30 Amp PDU's. The amp meter reads 10 Amps for each 15 Amp breaker. [The 30 Amp/ 240 Volt PDU's have two (2) 15 Amp breakers built into them. If we multiply 240 Volts x 10 Amps, we get 2400 watts. Divided by 2 [S7's] = 1200 watts.
EDIT: I did have a high pitched wine from one of the S7's after about 7 or 8 hours of mining. It was hard to make out which one was making this noise. So, I ended up doing a half to full turn on the screws to all the fans [Front and back] and the noise went away after about 20 to 30 minutes.
dmwardjr that is great to know. I didn't know you received your miners...(I guess I missed that but am glad to hear your happy with them) will have mine Monday the 19th.

I think you will be very well pleased with their performance, aurel. I certainly am!!! I will be posting screenshots in about another 2.5 hours to show the performance of all rigs after 24 hours of use. Yes, BITMAIN, has had its up's and down's. However, without them, we would not have the opportunity for decentralization in mining we require to keep the blockchain healthy. I'm thankful for their contribution to the bitcoin community and look forward to supporting them further in the future. Cheers... EDIT: Mine were shipped on the 14th and I received them on the 16th in Alabama. Ordered on Sept. 3rd.

Cheers... I agree as Bitmain has been a great supplier to the home miner with great equipment. I am so looking forward to receiving the miner Monday but am also very thankful for Bitmain to say he will compensate us for the couple of days it was late. What most need to remember is if Bitmain can not make a profit then he most likely will not be selling equipment to the home miners and then what? Cheers to you sir as well...

I am happy they are as some companies forget about home miners. Bitmain is not doing it for free though. They know how to make a profit, they make business decisions. Fore example I'm sure they ran a ton of models of what compensation could be. And they decided with one that was cheap. They lost very little money compared to a nice coupon. So they are always making business decisions. If there was not profit they would not sell to us.

Bitman Site is down. I have four orders waiting to be shipped since September 9th. I have a need for quite a few more, but am wondering what is going on? ?? Another big question is.............Will the price of S7s rise with the rise of bitcoin?

Another big question is.............Will the price of S7s rise with the rise of bitcoin? In past in this big of difference they have been known to raise it. But no one really knows. They did manage to get to where there are no coupons right now, so there is already that difference. That was 100 dollars right there.

A 503 error is usually due to human intervention - maintenance or.....for a reason. As it's been down for quite a few hours now, I'll go with "for a reason".

There are ways to try to mitigate, but maybe waiting 90 days first is prudent as they can crock and then you'd not get a warranty if you changed speed or fan. People were certainly more prone to experiments on S3/S5 that cost $400-500 or so. To me it looks like each miner has an optimal operating temp and some react well to "heating" by increased temp. As an example, I increased room temp by almost closing the door to the "mining" room, ambient rose to 32C, miner temp rose to 56 vs 51-52 typical and it was showing more hash at 56C for boards at 600/full fan (not controlled).

From my experience, asics that perform better when hot are usually the first ones to go up in smoke

My S5's get lower HWE% when their temps are at around 45-50c versus 60+. Some of the older hardware i have, S1's included even seem to get less HWE% when they are super cooled. For instance i have a S1 that has been running for 2 days, normally the HWE% is at 1.6%, now its at 1.24% and the temp is 33c. Edit: Look at that sexy HWE% with max efficient overclock; https://i.imgur.com/HdhQkbG.png?2

They might have pulled it to stop sales of batch 2/3. They needed to do it somtime soon. So possible they pulled it down during US time and work on it with more of the workforce during China time, it's now morning there. They really have not had a ton of time in China yet to fix it. And also with price of coin we could see increase. They could have a meeting or two on that before putting it up with another batch.

However, it was just one data point and I am not inclined to properly investigate this until later.
