Alright, what block is everyone on?

Here's mine: I'm on 288271. I am 100% synced with 4 connections, 1 of which is a 1.0.9.

(Edit: Past good nodes known:)
75.130.163.51:18872
92.19.22.234:18872
50.188.13.41:18872
149.202.102.73:18872

I RE-ITERATE: EVERYONE NEEDS TO UPDATE THEIR OC WALLET TO 2.0.0!

What is everyone else's stats?

I'm ready to go with the blockchain download.

At posting I'm on block 288275 and my IP address is one of the four listed above so I'm good to go on wallet 2.0.0

As am I, I am on the list.

I am synced up to you guys as well.

Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

New chain download available here, contains 288208 blocks:
http://www.mediafire.com/download/a9m2jwfs98z7kax/288208.7z

I am getting the following error (Ubuntu 14)

Code:
************************
EXCEPTION: St13runtime_error
CDB() : can't open database file blkindex.dat, error 22
OrangeCoin in AppInit()

terminate called after throwing an instance of 'std::runtime_error'
what():  CDB() : can't open database file blkindex.dat, error 22

I am now trying to connect only to the seed nodes in your conf for a full resynch, but they do not seem to be responding (with a connect= to them, I get zero connections)

Is this with using the 288k blockchain download?

Yes. I have found a couple of nodes that work, and set the explorer wallet to "connect" only them (those in then 288k conf do not respond). Height 27k now :/

I think I left my wallet running when I made the download. please hold.

Can you create an actual bootstrap?  I'm not sure your DB is portable... the previous snapshot wouldn't load in our configuration.

thanks,
richie@bittrex

Sorry, like I said. I've tried to make it in the past and it didn't work.
Maybe I was doing something wrong. That is definitely a possibility.
Perhaps Soopy can make this for us. I've PM'd him.

Or if someone can post instructions on this. Thanks.

The 288k blockchain download is available, contains 288271 blocks. Please update the nodes in the .conf. I forgot to do it. I'm all over the place today, please excuse me.

Currently on block 288292.

http://bitcoin.stackexchange.com/questions/23074/how-to-create-a-bootstrap-dat-file Best bet i found it in regards to doge but...

Since van der Woerdt's answer in first question you link to indicates you can simply concatenate the blk files, you can open a DOS window (if your using windows), then type

CD C:\Users\<my_user>\AppData\Roaming\DogeCoin
(if you're on Win7+)

And then

COPY /b blk0001.dat+blk0002.dat bootstrap.dat
And that would be it!

I've tried copying that file before in the past and didn't work. Maybe my wallet was on when I copied it? Idk. I'm working on it, it's syncing now from scratch with the copied file. Hope this works for them.

Testing was meant as in successfully syncing or starting to sync. The bootstrap actually helps sync faster, probably due the wallet to knowing what blocks to sync to. It still syncs for 500 blocks at a clip, but it doesn't hang up as long.

The wallet isn't fully synced but it's going and is currently at 58500. Since it IS working, I gave the bootstrap to richie and fairglu in a PM, if they wanted to get a jump on things. It's posted on the website, but until they confirm it fully works for them as this is my first bootstrap, I'm not releasing the link yet. I took down the latest blockchain download as well.

OK ok, Secco @BTCGarden said it downloads very quickly but then stops. So.. Would it still be a bootstrap issue? Also we have noticed out of the "good IPs" 93.123.163.96:18872 is on OrangeCoin:1.0.9........
UPDATE YOUR WALLET!!!!!

Can we Ban this node temporarily in the conf?

Also I just had him to connect to my node only he's getting 4 connections.... Weird. But these IPs are connected: 50.188.13.41:18872 / 149.202.102.73:18872 / 75.130.163.51:18872 / 93.123.163.96:18872

Edit: Maybe i should take down my node? since these weird connections are there? Consensus?

We need all clients to get updated. The longer they don't update, the longer we remain forked. Wonder if soopy if puts in a version ban, if that would work?

There's not much more I can do except try to get everyone on 2.0.0 and on the same nodes on the moving chain.

Leave your node up for now.
