When Bitcoin fork debate and block size increase gets resolved successfully. Before that I just don't see it happening. If this won't be enough, then halving will get us over this hurdle for sure in my opinion. All of this above is possible of course only if no major negative thing happens, which is also a bit hard to believe in. I mean after all, us people in Bitcoin world have used to some drama pretty much all the time!  |

I think as demand dwindles, as the original use-cases become less and less relevant, we should expect Bitcoin to hover around the cost of production, which I understand varies widely but is a little over a hundred bucks roughly. I don't expect to see 800 or 690 or 500 or whatever ever again.
Original use cases? like shooting value around the internet without permission? That brutal mistress doling out lessons. Shiny boots of leather. Ouch! IMHO Whatever utility it had in China to move value out of the country has evaporated. And last I checked Wikileaks accepts Paypal nao  Edit: did I choose the wrong words? Or are these two cases where Bitcoin is seeing less and less use? Meh, I think the chinese gambler market outpaces chinese capital flight and wikileaks donations, even at their strongest. I didn't vote as I honestly don't know when it will happen but I think it ill get there again eventually but it will be more of a slow growth and could take time. I do think bitcoin will go back to 1k again but this could take a few years maybe even around 5.

I vote for mid of 2016 because of the block halving.
As miner will get half bitcoins fir hashing so the prices should also increase.

By the end of 2015 we will see 500$ again.Yeah i saw some article on cointelegraph regarding Chinese interest in Bitcoin.I think everything is possible all depends on investors(whales)they can drive price up if they want and when they want. |

What is ETF ? The Winklevoss twins are attempting to get an exchange traded fund up and running for bitcoin so that institutional investors feel more comfortable in getting exposure to bitcoin. I suspect that the relative stability that has been seen in this market for quite some time is meant to promote bitcoin as a stable-ish investment that may be enticing to hedge funds and other brokerages for big money to enter the field. |

i dont think the price can be predicted effectively, its just like in the early stages it was worth pennies and no one expected it to go up so high.

what makes you think current price is cheap? if it indeed was cheap as you say, then people would buy through the sell walls. current price is a fair reflection of the situation we are in now. |
