Now they reward deposits.
They are done!

very thought out panic... Yes we have to reward an activity. Since we don't charge for trades the activity most desired would be deposits as you have to withdraw eventually.

I've sent you all the documents you are asking for the verification days ago.
Why don't you respond to my tickets?
What the hell should i do to have my money back?

Pay them a 10% fee?

I mean 0.5% isn't enough obviously.

Yep. If only someone could invent more Altcoin trading exchanges. We could call it a "Bittrex", or a " Poloniex". This would be fun.

So you're saying Cryptsy is solely responsible for keeping 300+ shitcoins alive? Sounds like a great reason for Cryptsy to do the right thing and die.

I still say we need a BasketCrypto with ONLY 365 flavors.

I would like to think the OP is full of shit but I have had a withdrawal stuck since July.  I asked that they just refund my balance so it doesn't lose any more value (already down about 50%) but support doesn't reply and I was banned from the live chat when I complained.  It wasn't a large withdrawal so I hate to bitch about it but come on, 3 months?

Well Steve if you ask me I think people should make a mass exodus from Cryptsy over to Cryptopia Wink The site is run better, has a shitload of coins, and support is excellent.

How exactly do you intend to sue them and get your coins back if your prediction of them imploding in 30 days is true? That would have to be the fastest case handling in recorded history not to mention that it's a company in Belize. I don't think you'll get very far there. Maybe you can go after the canadian or US companies, but it's doubtful they have any assets.

That being said, I think if you really believe in what you are telling us than you would be better filing a criminal complaint because I just don't see the civil route as being a reasonable option.

BTW, I would advise you to write up your posts with less fancy text formatting and maybe turn it into a more concise bulleted list of grievances. Reading your post was extremely difficult to follow and normally I would have probably ignored it after a few sentences if it wasn't for my personal desire to see if you had a valid complaint.

Moving to Puerto Rico...

No idea if true, but... could be:

Cryptsy developers interviewing for other tech positions

I saw posts regarding the credibility of Cryptsy today and I have no idea whether they will indeed go full Gox or not but I wanted to share what I do know. I have deep ties to Florida's tech community and I can confirm that not one but multiple Cryptsy developers have been interviewing for jobs at other South Florida tech firms within the past couple weeks. One of these devs has written a significsnt amount of Cryptsy's source code. I don't pass judgment on the exchange but I'm simply stating what I know as fact so be warned that things might be shaky there in the weeks to come. Even if they have no bad intentions, their techincal talent is actually walking out on them for reasons I don't know at the moment...

You guys behave like Ganza, it's another proof for an shady operation of your platform. Look for what you ban me on your chat and wonder how is this possible:

No explanation will ever come. You do the same like ganza did, Ganza locked paybase to make mone, and if someone asks he gets banned. You will drive far with such tactics. You only show how shady Cryptsy is.

You've reseted, I made again same withdrawal, still no coins. Will you tell me again that I need to wait 24 hours before you play the same game again?

Yeha the ban thing is annoying. Over the past week I figured out that the mods will ban you for mentioning any of the following topics:

1. asking about the investigation rumors
2. asking about stuck or pending withdrawals
3. discussing with other customers about how it took me 200+ scripted withdrawals to extract 400k CSC coins because Cryptsy's wallets are apparently filled with dust causing too large a list of inputs when creating the transaction.

That last one got me banned today and the funny part is that the system never even posted a message saying "user banned for x minutes". I wasn't irate or acting inappropriately in the chat. I 100% agree that they seem to be running a campaign of denial, subversion, and suppression.

Given that the op originally asked if anyone else had withdrawal problems, I figure it's worth sharing.

BTW, here's a summary of my experience with trying to withdraw that ~400k coins:

I tried getting those coins out with one of their free withdrawal tickets originally. That 400k got reduced to about 6k because their wallets are full of dust. When I sent in a ticket asking cryptsy to give me a refund for the fees they collected on the 200+ withdrawals that were necessary because I originally requested the entire amount as a free withdrawal, I did promptly get a response back to the ticket from Jshock:

Code:
I tried to withdraw 400k using a free withdrawal. Cryptsy sent 6k. To get my coins out, I've made close to 150 withdrawal attempts in the past 24 hours. lLl of those now charge me fees, which I should not have been charged if these were originally transferred properly.
So, I think cryptsy should wave these fees since their system is the problem and I originally requested a 0 fee withdrawal for the full amount.

Hello xxxxxxxxx,

Withdrawal fees are a set % of any w/d.
So if you w/d less, the fee is less.
I do not understand why compensation would be needed?

I do apologize for that fact that you are not able to withdrawal larger amounts, but sometimes
wallets are set for lower amount limits for various reasons. Usually due to network limitations

I'm going to use a script to get my coins out today, but this will likely take 30+ withdrawals to complete.

Please give me a credit for the 2000 CSC that this will likely cost me in withdrawal fees since I originally requested to use my free withdrawal for the entire amount and now it's going to start charging me.

SInce this email, I haven't heard back from them. Personally, I think this is an "expect nothing and you won't be dissapointed" type of situation. If you guys want to see what the dust looks like in their casinocoin wallets check out this transaction for one of my scripted withdrawals where the amount was reduced to 411 coins.

For reference, this is what it takes to withdraw 400k CSC from cryptsy, each time the scrypt detects a balance, it withdraws the full balance:

While I conducted these withdrawals, I had to open a handful of tickets related to issues like:

1. stuck withdrawals - pending forever
2. withdrawals to a trusted address that would tie up coins and were marked strangely with confirmed=no
3. my balance sometime swinging to negative requiring multiple request for support to correct the balance

Honestly, Cryptsy has been very good to me in the past, but I think I'll be reducing my personal business significantly with them going forward. I don't care if the rumors are true or false about investigation, etc. I just would rather not leave coins there anymore. Better safe than sorry I guess.

BTW, if anyone wants a copy of the withdraw script, I'd be happy to give it out if you have similar problems. It's written in ruby. cheers

In the end it cost me a lot more than 2000 CSC to get my coins out.

I had exactly the same issue. My "free" withdrawal of 500k coins was cut back to 12k, after which I had to make multiple withdrawals to eventually get all coins withdrawn.  Each withdrawal was cut back in size by varying amounts. My support request to refund the fees was initially answered with a promise to do so, but it never materialised. Several follow up messages were ignored by Cryptsy support.

I would say this:

- I managed to withdraw all coins, although it took multiple withdrawals.
- Whether the above is a technical issue or deliberate action on Cryptsy to thwart the "free withdrawals", I cannot tell
- It is unacceptable for support to stop replying to support queries.  If they do not wish to give a fee refund, they should say so and close the ticket, but ignoring follow-ups is unethical.

I think the last point speaks for Crypty's general attitude. My advice is to keep the minimum amount of coins necessary for trading in Cryptsy and always withdraw any excess. Of course, with the withdrawal fees, this could prove costly over time.

My understanding is that when they have that much dust in a wallet, the amount isn't the problem. It's simply that you hit the maximum number of inputs in the transaction. All cryptsy would need to do to solve these issues is to periodically condense their contents of their wallets to a secondary address within the wallet periodically. If all the coins that have deposited are in a single address, you could transfer up to the  max amount of the hot wallet and it would process automatically. My only guess as to why they don't do this is that they don't want to pay fees for the transactions needed to consolidate their coins in the background, or the architecture of their wallets service doesn't allow it for some reason.

I would love it if that gave me my fees back, but alas I don't think JShock understood what I was asking.

If you pm me the details I can get the fees returned to you. JShock is waiting on a tool to allow him to do it which he doesnt have yet. Ill get a list from him and work through them

You are correct about the utxo build up. Its not uncommon for me to find a wallet with 100,000 utxo's. We periodically clear them out but on some wallets it builds up fast when it becomes popular to mine. As far as the fees. They can get expensive with some of these coins. Our only option on wallets with repeat utxo build up it to raise the withdrawal fee or keep paying for the dust collection out of pocket. We generally try to do 50/50

Thank you Mullick. I appreciate it if you can help with this. I just pm'ed you the list of withdrawals. BTW, would it be possible to give the user an option to spread the withdrawals over many transactions in order to get the desired amount transferred if they are willing to pay the fees required for the wallets?
