i used to play lotteries some time ago though i dont do it anymore because in my opinion it does not bring enough profit to play it

That is true because lotteries will collect money from every one and give it to only few people so winning chances are very less compared other forms of gambling or sports betting. But if you win surely odds will be quite big. Because of less chances I mostly never try my luck there but mostly I bet on sports and many times I win compared my loses.

I have won some euros in scratch lottery as well. Not much though and I usually don't even stay with the profit, because when I win I just buy more with the money I just won, and then I end up losing it xD
My best was getting 5 more lotteries for free.

It is all about that - mostly luck. You put little amount and you can get very big prize. More people play = higher reward = lower possibility. It is not because of scam, that' are the rules.

I counted probability of winning once and it turned out that to win jackpot my chances are like 1:14.000.00 or something like this.

The odds are tough to overcome on your own. That is why I only play as part of a group. As a group, we buy lots of tickets and thereby reduce the odds significantly.
