i dont think you guys are understanding.
its not 1 stick = 1 share.. its 1 user = 1 share.. i dont think he will ever put it 8ghs = 1 share, so if you OC yours to 16ghs you get 2 shares, because that would be extremely complicated..
so if you had 5 8ghs sticks and 1 had 2 8ghs sticks and this pool found a block we would get equal amounts.. if there was 50 users it would be 1/50th of the 25 bitcoins. or .5 btc
this is why it wouldnt matter if you had 5 8ghs sticks and 1 450ghs s3 and i had only 2 8ghs sticks.. if we get a block we would get equal amounts..
what this pool is doing is letting the people that have more hash, or rented hash, help the people that have 8ghs sticks get a chance of a block then if they just went solo, and getting more then they would if they just mined on a pool (if this does find a block)..
this pretty much captures my intentions. i want every person to have at least a stick and an equal share. right now i am pointing two down clocked s7s twenty sticks and part of an s3. It is close to 9th. i get that some will try to game this by running 1 stick for 30 days. i dont mind if people do this as long as they use a compac. a better setup variation of this idea is the home miners future. and it is viable if it is low watt power effiecint gear. I need to show the math and it is a long thread. but think of this pool like playing a three digit number the real odds are 999 to 1 the state pays 500 to 1 . playing this pool club with one stick is like getting 2000 to 1. I think this is the future for a small miner.

I support the 1 user = 1 share goal. Along with two sticks I'm pointing an old S3 at the pool for an extra 450GH, but that's for the benefit of all to increase our chances, like buying more than one lottery ticket even though you're in an office pool. If that S3 hits a block, I still get my one share and everyone else get's theirs. We're just having some fun and taking our chances.
Now don't forget we also need your $5 toward Sally's birthday cake by friday. It's potluck, so bring a dish,, and make sure your TPS reports are in BEFORE you go to the party!

Hopefully we can get the social part now we know how it will be done after 30 days .

I also think 1 user = 1 share is the best idea. Simple and dont forget guys compac pool is to have fun! If you want to donate this is good if not you can only point your compac and you are still in the party!

I know right now I'm running 5 stick's in balance mode with 4 pools (actually only 2 pools listed twice), but when the 30 days starts for real (this is still the dry run, right?), it will be just 2 pools listed in balance mode (I PM'd you about this around 10 days ago, figured I might as well keep it up).

Pretty much oct 11th ends dry run. Pretty much I don't mind people doing as little as 1 compac but I want the compac. Pretty much I will give a lot of free hash until the 11th of oct. Then try to do a second 30 day run with tweaks. Second run I won't be tossing 5th or 9th into the pool like I am now. But maybe sidehack cuts a deal with sp tech for the sp50 chip. This is my hope.

Back on track. I need to buy a powered hub ^_^ If you really want to push them you need a Y cable or something to allow power from 2 USB ports. Unless you are getting a ton of power through 1 port somehow. With Y cable I am able to get 16gh out of a stick. I need some time to built something to hold my usb stick nicely in front of a fan to cool it as it get's warm at 16gh.

Sorry, maybe I shouldn't have had that second glass of wine tonight When I said I hoped it got more social.... this was not the direction I was thinking . This should be fun I think is main thing I got out of this. I am trying to think of fun ideas. Anyone have any fun social ideas for the group?

lol edonkey you beat me to it! I was gonna make a comment about going blind from that sort of thing.
Anyways, my input on some people's aversion to the 1 user = 1 share, nobody is forcing you to clock your stick higher or lower, or to partake in the pool at all for that matter. For example I have both mind clocked fairly low, so even though my second is technically a "donation", I feel better about having both pointed there. If you don't, point your other stick/miners at other pools. Realistically, if we did hit a block, a good chunk more should go to Phillip for all the extra hash he's rolling into our pool (stick that in your pipe and smoke it).
In re: to fun social things, we could start posting pictures of our cats? (Just kidding, I hate socializing. And cats.)

I am returning the ones I bought because I neglected to read the fine print and the end which goes to the stickminer is a 'B' connector. Tis what I get for drinking and mining. By the way, does anyone know why my name doesn't have a hash number beside it in Phil's list? It has a U and he said he sees all members are hashing, but no amount listed for me yet. Edit, what are people's best share number? I have 8.9M at the moment after about 24 hours of having two sticks mining without touching them. I touched them too much yesterday morning.

Transaction fees go to the pools and the pools decide to pay them to the miners. Anything else, including off-chain solutions are stealing and not the way Bitcoin was intended to function. Make the block size set by the pool. Pool = miners and they get the choice.

I don't think anyone would disagree with that. He no doubt has been the number one hasher in the pool. And add organizing this group ontop. I think he has put in most work and money.

Both of you guys are right on. I need to go back and read because this was pretty obviously laid out as a 1 compac pool and what else you do is your donation. I plan to throw some extra hash in here from time to time as well as I think it is going to be great for not only increasing odds no matter how small, but good for everyone's outlook. We all know this is a pie in the sky and it is a good thing chasing that pie with a team. MMmm pie I like pie

I touched them too much yesterday morning. got lazy u = up and for the first 30 days up gets a share. Typing in the numbers is too much work. I now just click every worker and do nothing unless you show 0. The bots keep better track. I would spend more time with just this thread. But I need to ship an s-7 Ship some surprise boxes fully read the bots setup and set it up manage my diff thread. setup linux debian on a rasp pi upgrade 2 mac minis and as for real world it would take 3 or 4 long sloopy posts to explain how a 2 day garage cleanup has turned into about a 20 day job. now involving the attic, 2 sheds, the kitchen, a crawl space and yeah thats right the garage.
