Investing in gambling using the money is acceptable because if you invest it in the right site then it will be

certainly profitable but betting it on a gambling is a different story. As you all know that the house often wins

like 70% chance that the house will win and the other 30% will be the chance that the players will win. Yes the

bigger the amount you bet the bigger your profits will be and if it's not your day your loss will be bigger also.

That's why many people here are saying that gamble only what you can afford to lose.

I think not only in gambling but in trading also you need to set a target for you and make a strategy to make trading more effective and specially if you are a newbie in trading, you need to be more careful and need to invest a limited amount of bitcoin as you need to get some good experience first.

If all goes as per plan then no traders need to think about quitting it.

Traders =! bitcoin supporters, a lot of traders join the bitcoin community just to make money, not because they believe in bitcoin/blockchain. Of course there are others that believe in bitcoin and also trade, so it would make sense that they would hold their bitcoins.

I find that line of argument illogical as something must hold some interest for you before you might want to have confidence and willing to identify with it! The traders trying to get some profit from bitcoin, yes are attracted by the potential for profit making and by so doing, are invariably promoting bitcoin by contributing to its market capitalization, volumes of trade and patronage of companies doing businesses with bitcoin. What is more?

Yes, quiting trading is not the solution as you do not need to disappoint, in fact if you are not getting the desired result then you need to change your trading strategy and not to quit gambling at all.

Experienced traders with years of experience know how to trade where they build up some sort of a buffer with their right trades. In case they later end up having done a bad trade, which happens to even the best traders, then the profits made before that will easily catch up the loss of the faulty trade. That's how they in general end up making profits after profits. These people don't see trading as a fun thing. It never is fun when your money is at risk.

Yeah I'm having fun also in trading but I don't even treat it as a job. Basically I'm doing it when I have spare time while checking out on how the market of the alt coins I bought are doing, if they are pumping or dumping or totally don't have potential at all and will be dead soon. That's how trading works, not all the profit will be always on our hands but when it came to your hands, it will be worth it.

What you refer to is mostly psychological which could potentially give you more confidence, but this doesn't actually work along these lines. Your whole capital is such a buffer, the profits earned add to this buffer, but I don't think that the pros actually think or feel this way. In other words, a loss remains a loss, no matter whether it is covered by previously earned profits or by the capital itself. And as such, it should be treated equally (i.e. as if it cut a dent in your principal)

I would suggest to invest it somewhere. Hire some people and start an online business for something you get in your locality. I did that with my money and it is quiet successful. 

But usually people here are suggesting to re-start trading after gaining required skills. Because if a trader decided to quit trading due to losses then he must want to recover his losses only from trading. But I like your suggestions. It would be better to get into a complete new business and starting a new life.

I guess, if you have the same result again and again with failure result, better find another way because your way is not that effective, look for another thing or way where you can excel and earn more, you must not be stagnant on your earning it should be increasing.

If you always get same bad result again and again then you need to change your strategy or the way how you trade different crypto-currencies either it is bitcoin or altcoins. Never give up, Take your failures as a lesson and basis on making decision in the future. Failure is always part of the game.

Some trade are profitable and some loss, my losses are usually more than my profits. Luckily I trade with small amount
and losses have been covered by my long term investments.

Dude, you cannot expect to make fast money with trading, it could be easy and fast for others as we have read some of the comments that they are making profit in trading but if we are new we need to learn. Learning the basics is very important and what you are doing it right, you start with small amount and don't give up yet, just try to improve your method and along the way you'll progress.

but i think it does not mean to quit our business, we should change our trading strategy. for example if you are not succeeded in investing your money in short term investment, then change your strategy and invest your money in long term investment and hope that through this way you will surely turn your lost in to profit.

The topic is all about the experience of OP that trading is not profitable to him anymore for years of trading, I believe every smart trader would do that, why would you force yourself to something that is not giving your good return. It's just right to quit and focus on other ways of making money, you can invest with bitcoin and hold it for long term, I guess that's easier compared to doing day trading.

It always helps that certain coins have a decent amount of daily trade volumes, but the point with altcoins is that people just buy them in the hope they get pumped. It's just the hope that people hold on to. To a certain extent I think it equals gambling for a big part as there too people don't have anything other than luck to hope for. But then again, if you have enough coins where you safely can say that you're a whale, then you can move the market in your preferred direction. Or you need to be close to the developers behind the given coins where you make use of insider information.
