Tell me all about it

The Bitcoin software, network, and concept is called "Bitcoin" with a capitalized "B". Bitcoin currency units are called "bitcoins" with a lowercase "b" -- this is often abbreviated BTC.

The fact is not fully anonymous, then again, if it was fully anonymous, it would constitute a lot of unsolvable problems, thats why having options is the way to go. Lack of merchants too.

Somehow there is a reason why it is design that way.  Grin

For me, that will be the bad reputation linked to the use of bitcoins. These include links to scams, ponzi, drugs and porn.
Something must be done to change the image of Bitcoin.

Missing the hype. In 2013 there were 2 big rallies but since I'm in the Bitcoin scene there weren't any rally yet. I'm patiently waiting that hype. If it won't come next year I'd be very disappointed.

Good replies up there, I'm in agreement with a few, like wtf, why wasn't i thinking about this back then, i'm a geek by design, my life revolves around computers for the past 20 years?! Fact is, I was just falling in love with someone and had better things. I do not regret anything either. Wink Cheers! Smiley

The hangovers that remain from its early days - the shitty exchanges and bullshit 'investments'. I can't believe that people still fall for it.

Large swathes of the community are weak and gullible, which is a terrible combination with the tech at hand.

Tell me all about it

My least favorite thing about bitcoin is the volatility.  It moves way too much day to day against the dollar and other major global fiat currencies for a variety of reasons.  I'd like to see this stabilize more.  Most currency pairs are much less volatile.  In theory, at some point, Bitcoin will become deflationary against all other currencies and reliably increase in value slowly over time rather than be so choppy.  However, it's hard to see that future right now.

Umm. Maybe it is hard to understand. To be honest, until now, almost a year active on this forums, I have not gotten everything I need to know about Bitcoin. For example, #1, I know mining is to keep the network secure - but how? #2, I dont know what is the different between HD wallet and single wallet, both look the same to me. And many other more. I'm one of the few new generation on Bitcoin - dont know how it work, but still supporting Bitcoin.

One of my favorite thing about Bitcoin is the volatility. Well, it is good to do daytrade with a huge up and down everyday.

So sad! This profile does not appear as the #1 result (on anonymous) Google searches anymore.

Time to be active on the crypto forums again? Proud to be one of the few Legendary members of the Sparkie Red Dot!

Gonna put this on my resume if I ever join a cryptocurrency/blockchain industry!

You might be surprised at how volatile some 'real world' currencies are. We just don't hear about the more obscure ones very often.

My current least favorite thing... used to be my favorite: that you have to "know how" to do/use it.
I look forward to the time when it is easily used world wide...seamlessly.

There 'used' to be more truth in forums than anywhere else.  Twitter:  @cryptobitchicks  Spock: "I am expressing multiple attitudes simultaneously. To which are you referring?"  INTJ-A
