Aeon is now down under 20k satoshis. I cancelled my remaining orders to buy on and below 15k satoshis. I reckon if it goes down there it might take another long time to go back over 20k

I am very disappointed in Aeon's performance in the market.

Agreed. But it is really not very convincing to buy more Aeons. There are better cryptocoins in the market that can give you a better return on investment. Also Aeon's volume has to improve. It is hard to buy 1000 coins without moving the price.

Aeon is a good coin, i hold it for ages...but it is being driven by the Asic's these days and there is no re-base forseen in the near future. Meanwhile i will turn my attention to other good Monero forks like Sumo and Masari.

The rebase is happening sometime in the next month or so from what I understand. If you held so long, why jump ship now?

@DuffyDuck1. What are you talking about? Aeon will hardfork to the new software on May 28. That is only 2 weeks from now. You should buy some before the rebase at all costs or regret not hodling hehehe.

I would disagree against both points, the bounty was needed to get this long awaited rebase across the line, AEON needed this rebase badly. As per the original bounty terms it was not set out as winner takes all but a shared bounty, from my view smooth is spot on with his decision to select your rebase submission.

The Redditard threads are to be ignored, all working rebase submissions will receive reward, it would seem from Reddit it is a who can piss the furthest competition rather than who produced the best code. You have produced the best code, as per peer review, you should take your portion of the bounty award as you duly deserve it.

The idea would be some period, where large block buyers and sellers, would place coins in escrow and then bid over the course of the auction for highest/lowest price. At the end of the auction trades that match would execute at the same price. Coins that don't trade would be returned of course.

None chance.  Why would you want to walk on edge anyway. It is way easier to follow.   AEON blockchain si super slim right now. Bulletproofs are not needed.  Yes from next month on is possible that AEON will get used more and blockchain will start growing more, but growth just cant be huge.

Wownero has had bulletproofs active on mainnet for a month or so now. Think we win the prize for being the stupidest to activate first. There haven't really been any major issues except last couple days someone was spamming the mempool with hundreds of txs with ring size 100, and couple pool ops reported daemons locking up with error message about duplicate index in pool  or something untilool was flushed, but I didn't see that issue.

Even with the spectacular, it isn't a deserving name considering the wait.

@Febo. Are you serious? Do we need to copy what Monero is doing to make it more valuable? I reckon that is a big mistake. We should not compete versus Monero because we will lose.

Also what happened to Aeon's vision to become the cryptocoin for lighter and more mobile devices?
