Now that it's finally up, Bittrex has the wallet in maintenance mode and none of my sell orders aren't being executed. Same thing is going on with Quatloo at the moment.

@paramind22. Why are you planning to sell? It is a good time to hold. Aeon development is not finished yet and we have yet to see what is coming in the future. One possibility is it might follow Monero and become one of the most valuable cryptocoins.

Thanks. I like the way anyone can mine Aeon with Minergate. I am trading in a low capacity many coins, but enjoy supporter growing communities like this one. I've also learned the value of holding and not just going for the 10 to 30 percent quick gains. |

Bittrex has a large number of coins that are not being maintained by their staff. Why are these same coin wallets working on other exchanges? This is really nuts.

Who bought up a lot of Aeon only to make it drop down again to the previous range? He must have gotten very excited into thinking that the market will follow him. But the longterm range still is looking ok. It is a time of gradual buying so make the best of it while you can.  |

Purchases like that are usually an indication that somebody somewhere knows something about something. the coin will jump when other is in blood bath, no one knows what happen, but if there is whale buying in a big ammount thats mean there will be something big coming, it is happened many times in crypto |

That might be one reason but other reasons include a trader who bought at the top who is also getting desperate and is now trying pump the price back up thinking the market will follow him. But as an Aeon holder I hope the reason is what you said. |

Aeon has found higher lows above 0.00019. This is nice progress on the price. The progress on its development is conservative but it's going smoothly. I hope to see LMDB integration by the end of the year.

Maybe someone expects/knows that rebase is coming soon and with it some price action. I think it must just be expectation though, because only smooth knows when rebase will happen, and I doubt he is looking to buy up a few btc worth and try to dump afterwards...but who knows really. |

@jwinterm. I speculate the code rebase might not happen in 3 or 4 months assessing from what he said in the official Aeon thread. I also do not understand the high expectations after the rebase unless smooth integrates LMDB in the same upgrade.

Aeon is an awesome coin. Why has it spent the last year under 100k sats? A kind of funny quote "If you're just buying Aeon to get rich, don't even bother. Aeon needs more than just the next wave of crypto speculators: we're looking for the truly elite."
It is mined with cpu easily, that's why it has so many dumps, profit taking from the miners. It needs a new floor above 50k before it starts to rise more. The dev needs to be more active. It needs to get on a real market place.

For a small coin, it's ok where it's at right now, both in the development side and the price per Aeon. The community is waiting for the code rebase to be deployed asap but we have only smooth working on it and he's also busy with Monero. So you can't really expect anything better.
But at least there are people taking action on their own initiative. Check out /r/Aeon, you'll find a small group of people giving their support.
