I have some coins idling around in my wallet but I cannot bear to put it in hyip or risk it. But it is a waste to let it idle around. Yes. I have coins in some "lower risk" hyips to generate some interest which I'm prepared to write off. I also have some coins converted to hashing power in hashnest and BW.com but it has to be monitored else you will suffer a loss instead.  Grin

Unlike fiat currencies, I cannot park these coins into banks backed by governmental institutions. I put my fiat currencies in banks or blue chips but I cannot do it with cryptos.

So, what do you do with your idle coins? Let it sit around?
idle coins is shit mistakes, scam coins, and some coins never have price movement, its made me no more trade altcoin on some exchange, better to trade bitcoins to real cash.

Invest = Risk.
That is what puts me off. I prefer to sit on my coins and watch them appreciate.

might be a good idea, that would be safer than investing coins, as we all know, keeping it alone, could also profit us but not that big compared to its profit when it is invested..  Smiley

Yeah but as said it is the risk that takes you back to the scary part again. Keeping large amount of bitcoin would be the best choice. It will profit a lot on the long run.

Yeah quite agree with you. store is good. but the effect is not so great. if the price rises, surely you would make a profit or dividend if sold at current prices rose. but what if at that time the price drops?
better to invest it and you can while waiting for prices to go up

I am ready to invest and take the risk associated, but always wonder - with all the scams going around, is the return associated justified given the risk taken?
Also, considering that bitcoins themselves are deflationary acts as a barrier in me investing them.

Some people, like my younger sister, are masters at figuring out what to invest in. Some people, like me, not so good at it.

For people like me, it is safer with bitcoin to just hold it.

For people like my sister, she hasn't got into bitcoin yet but for her, investing may get better returns than holding on to bitcoins.

I think the most important thing is to identify who you are and don't try to pretend you have skills you don't have. Well not with large amounts, testing with small amounts may be okay.

Invest it somewhere else first and get a profit out of it. Faucets, miners etc. And sit here wit 8)h us wait for the right time we will be gunning BTCs.
What do you think it would be that easy. investments in certain sites and sit back?
currently. You can not invest safely and remain calm in investment. you will be haunted by the possibility scam of the site

As long as no one comes with a better idea than holding, im going to keep holding and while I hold im going to keep stacking even more BTC, as much as I can, I will eat only cheap ramen and live under a bridge if that means I can buy even more BTC monthly. In 10 years it will be worth the extra effort.

What I do is that I usually go around the lending section and see if I can give some trusted loan with mini profits on the loan.If I'm bored I gamble with a limit or usually but buy around the bitcoin accepting shopping websites.

Well for investing I wouldn't limit myself to bitcoin investment, there are fiat investments too, many of which are far safer than bitcoin investments.

Thats a nice plan, investing through bitcoin sites has to be very careful. The scammers are doing much harm creating fake sites which probably make bad impression towards good sites too.

I place my bet in directbet.eu but only the small amounts just for fun. With good decision making especially if you know the sport, you can actually win in gambling thru betting.

Well investing has also some downsides and many risks, I think holding your idle coins to gain profit by the price amount can be very good if you ask me.
I think because of the halving that is coming its pretty good to just hold them and do nothing with them this year.

I can understand this "idle" feeling. Having a couple of bitcoins is a good thing having more is the better, and it will not increase if sitting in a coldwallet Smiley. You might want to take a look at margin funding. Not a huge gain, but still some gains with relative low risk if you choose a bigger and better exchange.

I would not like to let my coins to lie idle. I am a dice enthusiast and like playing dice during my free time. What I do is to transfer my coins from the wallet to a dice site and do a few bets. Once I gain 25% of my initial amount, I stop and withdraw back to my wallet.

I don't want to take away some nice profits so idling coins is not part of my bitcoin regime.

I can still take advantage even I don't idle my coins for skyrocket price but there's no instant $1000 increase in just a day so still I can make a plan to accumulate if I feel there will be a big rally.

Which cloud mining do you use? I thought most of the cloud mining sites are scams. Do you use Bitmain?

Mine are safe in my wallet. Saving them for a future purchase or trade.

But tell me please does poloniex has a lending platform? Can you tell me where on their site i can find it?

it does not matter if you always win. but I rarely find people who always win, it is better to stop. before all the coins that are idle will be sold out of the dice
