I have a feeling that price would be better at the time of halving so not doing anything with my coins just holding it for next couple of months, even if the price drops I can afford to wait for a longer period of time.

Yeah smart move, as holding at a moment can be better for future, if the price goes higher at the time of halving you can sell it by then and earn some good money in the form of profits.

Actually i'm not doing anything with my idle coins. First i collect my bitcoin until 0.2btc then i sell them all into fiat. So for now, i don't have any methods to make more profit with my idle coins.
0.2 btc I think not a lot of money mate so do not get confused in the growth of the coins idle. I think the trade altcoin can be used with a small capital such as 0.2 BTC

In the current trend in bitcoin price, it's really no sense to make my coins idle.

Im just buying when the price dips then sold it to take profits. Idle coins can really make you earn more profits but when that will happen? Much better to act now. We can still save some while doing buy and sell at the same time.

It is better not to have any idle coins. Make them work - trade, invest, keep a little for dark times and USE it. This is the best way to to spread the technology, I think.

Well, i don't know about trading altcoin. Because i don't have any experience on trading, and not up to date about altcoin. Maybe i can go gambling with a little amount.

Well i think better is to make idle coin working  by growing it up with investmemt or trade as @Crazygreek said but i also think that you should left it idle also as you may need it sometime if in emergency.Either you can do it a way that you can make a part of idle coins in investment/trade and save up remaining idle coins to work in emergency if arises.

Since many people are expecting bitcoin prices may go up this year so if you can just hold on to it for some time so you can make a good profit from prices increase in near future. Sell only if you really need a urgent cash otherwise buying bitcoins itself is a good investment.

Bitcoin price will increase during the time of halving. At the present it is better to hold the Bitcoins rather than going for some other investment.

Not just this year, Bitcoin might slowly appreciate in value over time (not every year though), so holding Bitcoins is indeed the good choice. Unfortunatelly most people are in debts and cant afford to invest money long term, but Bitcoiners are often diferent specie understanding the need to plan ahead and have savings ready for planned things like house reconstructions, new car, or just as a reserve in tough times...

Well I keep all my 'leftover' coins in a different wallet sorta like a penny jar. For example if I've saved up $50 in Bitcoin to buy something and I manage to get it for $48, I'll throw the remaining $2 into my penny jar wallet. Usually coins in that wallet don't stay idle long though, I always find something to buy sooner or later Grin

I have some coins idling around in my wallet but I cannot bear to put it in hyip or risk it. But it is a waste to let it idle around. Yes. I have coins in some "lower risk" hyips to generate some interest which I'm prepared to write off. I also have some coins converted to hashing power in hashnest and BW.com but it has to be monitored else you will suffer a loss instead.  Grin

Unlike fiat currencies, I cannot park these coins into banks backed by governmental institutions. I put my fiat currencies in banks or blue chips but I cannot do it with cryptos.

So, what do you do with your idle coins? Let it sit around?
in my opinion, idle coins is mistake,i buy coin which dont have good future, coins which have bad reputation,i almost dont have coins like that, really wasting time to buy coins like that, and of course wasting my bitcoins, now just focus to buy good coins like Etherum,Monero or Litecoins.

I mostly just hold them and do nothing with them, I'm waiting for a price increase.
I'm just waiting with my idle coins for the halving that is coming this year to make profit.

That's good that you are holding at a moment, but you should also spend some of your coins, bitcoins are not here only to be idle, they should be used so that it can achieve more value in future.

I don't have any idle coins, whatever I earn I convert it to fiat on weekly basis, I really don't care about the price, as at a moment I need fiat to make purchases so I keep on converting my bitcoins.
it is unfortunate when you ignore the price when you sold in the exchanger. because you can sell at a low price dude ? so it is better if you want to convert it to a fiat. look at the right price first. if the price is still low. better hold on your bitcoin dude

That's the right thing to do, to wait for the right price, or you cannot earn a good money if your sell at a lower  price, the best option is you can convert it to fiat on monthly basis that will help you out I guess.

Gold? Why gold? Bitcoin s 10x better store of value then gold. It s like using Bitcoin to buy fiat.

I am planning on buying some precious metals. Do you have any tips that you can give me? It would be really helpful if you do.
