Alot of people have been having problems maintaining a strong connection to the transfercoin network, and I was as well.  I solved the problem this way:

If you are having slow or no connection you need to put the list of masternodes into your transfer.conf file.

In windows it can be located by typing %appdata% into search. There will be a transfer folder, inside this folder, transfer.conf should be located. If it is not there, create a new transfer.conf text file. Make sure it is named transfer.conf.

On a mac, go to finder and navigate to /Applications/Transfer-Qt.app/Contents/Resources. Not entirely sure about this, so if a Mac user can verify it would be great.

This may have been my problem, I had only about half of the nodes in my transfer.conf file. I've been able to maintain a strong connection, but my masternode keeps disconnecting. Hopefully adding the additional nodes will resolve my issues. Thanks

Update:

Still having issues after adding all the nodes, but definitely see an increase in connections to the network.

Was about to get much better connection after changing listen=0 to listen=1 in the transfer.conf file. You may be able to add it to your transfer.conf if it's not already there.

Also, learned that if your wallet is encrypted your masternodes will not start until you unlock your wallet for staking. Staking will not work unless unlocking your wallet 2 or 3 times.

I've noticed the same issue with my wallet, I have to unlock my wallet a couple times before it works again.

I am starting to think that the problem has to do with security. I am testing a hypothesis right now, it has to do with clearing the encryption files, in the smsgDB folder, after i did that its running properly now, and its still encrypted.  The files are automatically regenerated by the software, if this doesnt work, I'm gonna delete and redownload the blockchain.

Nice, We gotta love that!!!

Well removing the security files didn't help the problem, so now I'm removing the entire transfer folder and reinstalling. If this doesn't work I will have to create a new wallet and build a node from that.

I just realized, I did not have the problem before I added the second node. This is starting to point towards networking issues related to operating two nodes.   I will keep following the clues.

yeah, while all the necessary functions work, i notice some ui and sync speed issues.

i tried sending multiple addresses but it won't go when i unlock my wallet.  i notice the multiple unlocking of the wallet to send coins, which is a bit annoying...but not game breaker.

i remember long ago, infernoman suggested adding a flag in the .conf file, blocksizelimit or something?  i'll try to digg up that info again, or if infernoman can dash in here and just give it to us  Grin

it helped tremendously.

keep up the good work guys.  this little bud is growing.

Although the fix did not solve the problem, I am making some progress, there is just some bug with having multiple masternodes and the wallet encryption.  I deleted my masternode file, and built a new one through the wallet and they came right on so maybe that fixed the problem.

it looks like excitement have died down a bit, while other coins get some pump action at the moment.  let's do some more analysis.

looks like a pretty solid support line around 4000-4500 sat.

- had hope we stay above 5k sat as support, but we still grew almost 10x in 2 weeks!
- volume is steadied around 10 BTC, sure as heck not gonna get delisted from bittrex now.
- we might get a similar decline like last year around this time if BTC continues to rally up.
- masternodes grew to about 50. soon more as people learn to put them up. some are still working on theirs like me.., 50 TX mn's is equivalent of 500 DASH or PIVX mn's. which is pretty good.
- still 0.05% of marketcap of DASH and 1% of PIVX.
- the explorer shows almost half of the top 100 or so wallet haven't been touched in more than a year.  effective lowering available supply by half.
- with about 30% on exhanges, 10% in masternodes, and 20-30% untouched so far.  the distribution need to be a little better.  we are pretty much getting cock blocked by whales.

Any thoughts to add to that? or what the best way to establish a dev or foundation fund?

p.s. this is our developer fund as of right now, please support a little bit each day.

it feels as if the WHALEs want people to dump TX at these lower prices.

I can't see the price staying this low this much longer.  I know I'm planning on continuing to buy discount masternodes everytime the market dips to the 3k - 4k sat range, and I have a feeling I am not the only one.  I would buy a node right now, just waiting for some btc from coinbase.

There is too much money in crypto, for TX to remain at these base prices.

TX could exceed 100,000 sats easily

I agree that the price could go very high with even some adoption,  only thing is that we need to get the word out.  I think it will get out eventually, it will just take time.  I have some ideas on how to bring more users to the community,  for me, Transfer is a long term project.  I am in it for its lifetime.

This is the perfect project for me to work on, as I am a disabled vet, and I just finished all the college classes and online courses I could stomach on programming, actually took about 6 months break after two years of study, so I'm ready to go.  This project will take a lot of time, work, effort, dedication and patience.  My current project is to create two apps, a Transfer dice game which will support a Transfer faucet.

And as a reminder to everybody who hasn't cashed in yet, there are still 150 Transfer yet to give away, just visit www.transfercointx.pw, say hello and put your transfer address into the posting and I will be sending you 10 TX as a thank you for your interest in the coin.

It won't take much effort to raise the price of TX, because there is too much money in crypto. TX is an easy bargain, compared to other masternode coins.

So now I got me a TX Master Node up and running and also got some coins into a wallet to stake and help move the block chain. There is only one other Master Node coin that is cheaper which is ChainCoin. About a year or so ago is when ChainCoin switched to Master Nodes which was about the same time TX changed to master nodes. Looks like Burning Man is going all in and there are a few names that I've seen around for a few years so I going to play this long term this time and work my way back up to a few master nodes.
