Can I Sell Goods Yet?

Well I have an Xbox One already and would like to get rid of my 360, I was just wondering before I go ahead and get into any trouble if I could sell in the forum's marketplace yet? Nope. Anyone can be a buyer/seller, but I can recommend for you to use an escrow when selling the console/other goods (to avoid being scammed). Here's a list of 'em.

Why don't you just sell it there in your local? It's much convenient rather than selling it here in forum. You can advertise it but I think it's not ideal to sell some physical goods. it's just my opinion but still goodluck. Use escrow in this transaction.

I can recommend OgNasty, as i have personal dealings with him. I simply sent a message to him in the form he suggest and it did not take long, even though it was the middle of the night, to PM both traders with confirmation of fund being in escrow.

Then when i told him to release, he released in ... minutes? Overall it was great. If you can fork over the 1% fee, go ahead. If not, there's very good active escrow that do it for free or tip.

I agree with jacee's suggestion, since you are selling a tangible item that needs to be shipped, much better if you sell it with your area or community so that there's no need for a shipping fee and question there will be who will shoulder that fee? Posting pictures of the actual item will help you sell your item fast and give the exact condition like the wear and tear and how long have you been using it.

I'd recommend you to use marketplaces like cryptothrift. the forum is rather harsh and escrows are not as good as they used to be.

as a seller it's better to use a trusted marketplace in my opinion

Like what already posted you will pay a shipping fee for each of your goods and not a good choice as would get less value unlike of selling them in your place.

If you just need to sell it to have btc, i would suggest you sell them in your area or find a site or person online that would have interest to buy your items then you buy btc from what you will get, it will give you more btc than selling them here.

Read all the stickies in the market place thoroughly twice

Record yourself sealing the xbox, verify that it is working and verify the serial number.

Everyone is allowed to buy/sell as they please, but it is highly suggested that you proceed with extreme caution.

it's better for you to sell locally, and cut up all the cost, after that you can simply buy bitcoin directly with the money you get

i find this a much better solution than wasting money that can be saved

Yes, cut on the shipping costs, you will get more money out of it. Then you take your Fiat and you buy yourself coins.

Then again you can advertise it on the forum and maybe you get lucky and find someone locally that will pay you in bitcoins, you never know until you don't try it!

Sell for cash and buy coins. You're needlessly complicating and restricting the sales process. It is a cool thing to do but it's still early days. It be all over in minutes selling conventionally.

You can sell goods in the Local Market Place section if you can ship locally else if you can ship worldwide, you can place your offer in the Goods section https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=51.0.


If you only want to sell it for bitcoins, this forum can get you good buyers but if you can accept PayPal and other payment modes, Ebay or Amazon is a better option. They have their own seller policy which can protect you from interacting with fradulent buyers.

Yes, there are no rank restrictions on using the Goods section, provided that you know what are the rules here and you would abide by them. The only thing that you'll find hard is finding someone who'll trust you to seal the deal. Escrow is very much necessary in executing trades within this forum, but in the case with physical goods (and in this case, if ever, an Xbox 360), it would probably take several days or even weeks before the item would arrive on the buyer, til then the funds would be released on the escrow. If you can wait that long, then go ahead and sell your item here in exchange with bitcoins.

Yes anybody can buy and sell, but if you want to buy, you will need an escrow because you are a newbie rank member.

If you want to sell, then use caution as there are many scammers that could scam you.

It would be EXTREMELY hard to get a trade without escrow, but with escrow, its relatively easy.
