So is it worth it to invest any time into this alt coin or not?
I have seen some threads popping up recently saying something to the lines of it being a scam.
Any degree of validity of these ques of assumption on their level of integrity?

I am to lazy to read the white paper and all the documentaion about it... will do it prob during next week. Coin looks good at least it offers something brand new, something different. There are few questions that I'd like to know about this particular coin/token/cryptocurrency :

1. How are tokens created in the first place and how are they distributed within the network?

2. Are transactions kept open to public? As I understood only the "neighbor nodes" need to verify the transaction but without a blockchain this tangle needs to have some info about all the happenings on the network - where are record of the transactions kept, how do we know that those are the actual coins?

Excuse me for not reading before I ask these questions. my apologies. Would be great if somebody could explain me these questions in a simple way.

Thanks in advance!

Sorry to say that iota devs have been rushing iota to Bitfinex despite this coin IS NOT READY for prime time.

Light wallets needing an eternity until connecting to the net
Transfers don't go through
Wallets crashing...
What a joke!

iota is still in beta and pushing that coin to Bitfinex will damage iotas reputation (and the reputation of it's devs).

Light wallets working fine for me ...

But is not working fine for many others:

You cannot create software that works for everyone and every environment at first try.
IMO it's working quite well, at least for the huge majority and at this moment.

Why is it a scam? Unfair distribution?

Funny how all the people screaming scam are usually Newbie accounts or accounts less than 3 months old. This happens in all the threads where there is a really successful ICO or launch. People are either jealous they missed out or too stupid to use the tech they bought into.

How was IOTA distributed?

After almost 2 years of P2P trading it was distributed fairly well. Thousands of unique addresses with balances.

It is ridiculous to call this a scam. No other project brings so much in terms of innovation.

I can't believe people are still paying 350x the value of these. Better than the people that bought it out of the gate, but yeah...

IOT   $1,383,953,144    $5e-07   2,779,530,283,277,760 *   $10,106,300

So, it's actual value is $5e-07 which comes out to $0.001257

For anyone that made this one of their first purchases, I have a feeling they'll never come back to crypto. Nice work.
