it can only go to zero if a major flaw is found in the protocoll or the encryption is easily hackable some day in the future.

if nothing like this happens i would bet a lot that it never goes to zero again.

bitcoin is an open source project. everything can be solved in quite a quick fashion. a flaw can make the price go down a lot, but not to zero.

^ this but if there was some fatal flaw it might go near zero in a hurry. Since it didn't happen until now I don't expect it to happen (extremely unlikely - I see WW3 more likely than that), after all the bounty is the whole market cap.

I don't think it will be dumped to 0 USD. There are so many big parties that will lose so much money. Think of the mining farms, asics suppliers etc.

It would not suprise me they are behind the sudden rise of the BTC price right now.

if this will happen it will be a sudden drop in my opinion, people will start selling everything what will create a chain reaction of sellers

I can't imagine it falling down as far as that, if it looked to be heading towards the $100 I think we will see a lot of panic selling but I for one would be on the opposite side trying to buy what I could at that price.

Indeed, 0 is close to impossible. Worst case scenario would be somewhere between 10-100 USD i believe.
But like more things in live... and expecially the bitcoin price...  never say never Smiley

No that would not happen I hope. We are in the future. So what would happen to the money.

I think we will just go with our mobile paying groceries. And I am sure that Bitcoin will be the future money.

Bitcoin is an invention. It cannot be "uninvented". Price of bitcoin won't reach $0 ever again it may evolve, in the future they may add new features, value could change but not to $0.
If you thinking otherwise please share some insight and back your reasoning with some proofs.

When there is no use of bitcoin and the development of bitcoin stops, the price of bitcoin will go to zero. This happens to many coins.

Never say never, but in this case I think we can unless offcourse a bitcoin 2.0 protocol is developed and embraced.

I don't see that happening anytinem soon. With this in mind, the 200 USD seems to be a solid low point for the btc price.

Don't you think that it'll simply be absorbed by the market? A more probable event that could take bitcoin back to the ground and $0 is an attack to the network that would expose a vulnerability or an exploit of the technology.

It will only go to 0 if it breaks which woukd mean no use anymore then the way it goes to 0 doesn't really matter does it. Other than a break it will never go to 0.

Funny thing that u mentioned this. What if, what if... we all hope this will not happen, and I think chances are very low that bitcoin will worth 0. But if this happen we can just say " it was nice while it last" hehe and to turn our thoughts to something else. Cause if bitcoin stop to exsist, probably there will be some new coin much better then bitcoin.

The Bitcoin price will never go to zero 0. People will simply buy all the coins if they are going below $10. Even if for regular people there isn't a use for it anymore, the dark markets will always keep using it. They will most likely set up their own hardware to make it their currency. I always say, never say never when it comes to Bitcoin, but in this case I can say 100% sure that it will never drop below $1 Smiley

If the price goes to $100 and stay there for a while, it means bitcoin is a failed experiment. It will go to 0 soon.

If there is a major flaw is found in bitcoin, the price will go down. If the flaw is not dealt prompt, the price will go to zero.

It won't happen over night. If it ever does get to 0 it will happen slowly and not just drop to 0 suddenly. I really doubt this will happen though.

As long as there a demand and supply keeps coming.
