With Lebron James, I’d say that anything is possible, The Cavaliers team should never have made it to the Championship Finals but because of him alone, they did. Maybe he is the one to bring the Lakers to the finals again.

Lebron now have a pure point guard teammate Rajon Rondo unlike in Cavaliers last season so I think he will now have a not tiring game every game because he holds almost all position. Stephenson is a good role player too and known for his defense as we seen how he able to guard Lebron man to man last playoffs. Lakers doesn't have much of superstar players but a role players.

This veterans will surely give their young players a moral boost in every game. Playing with these veterans is like a dream to those young players.

At least the finals would be different on the other end. Not a bad prediction though but likely said, prediction would be harder now unlike the past seasons where we can easily predict on who's going to make it at the finals. Greatest teams are going to face each other on Western Conference and it's a total clash and much more exciting than the Eastern. I'm not saying that East is boring but West matches are more interesting.

Lakers would have a great season this time due to the LBJ addition in the line-up but it seems hard for them to make it to the finals because GSW is packed with superstars hungry for a title.

Warriors are not hungry for the title. It's just that they are composed of good role players and their strong chemistry that started to build years ago are now still in action. It's difficult to destroy even they will matched with a championship caliber team.

What we can expect is, Lakers surely will have a chance to finally end their absence in playoffs. People are not expecting that they will go into finals or even for a conference finals so not a big deal after all if they will not reached it.

I agree with this. In addition, their coach is also a good coach even in his first year. When he handled GSW, the team became a playoff contender team. They have good chemistry since they are playing for along time. That is what I want in Warriors. They don't change their players too much and if they will, they will trade their bench players and not their star players.

The Finals appearancr streak of LBJ will end now. I don't see Lakers playing in the NBA Finals now but they can clinch on the playoffs.

We don't know that yet. I have seen how Lebron have pushed the players when he is on one team.
Somehow there is something with Lebron that makes other players be good too or could be just looking good because of his presence.

He hates losing. So maybe there is a chance again to go to the Finals. I aint saying it will happen but with his ability he might just have a shot although their chemistry needs to improve first.

Its just my speculation but I know the capabilities of Lebron. He can carry his team with his experience. I think what the Lakers need to do is to have a good chemistry as you said and if they will play well in the upcoming season, they have a chance.

Well even without lebron, the lakers have a very good chance of making the playoffs. I mean, their composotion of talented young guys, kuzma ingram and ball, who would likely all peak at the same time, is pretty potent. But of course throw in james and they're pretty much assured of a spot.

There are still a lot of other great players in the Lakers not including the players that you had said. Lebron James made it in to the finals the last season with only some great players. Don't get me wrong though, I know that players of NBA is all great. It is a sure spot for the LA Lakers and the exciting Conference Finals will start. Well, we all know GSW will be making their way to it and might be facing LA Lakers.

I think Warriors will be very motivated to defend their championship and win 3 in a row. We all know how hard it is to three-peat, last team to do it was the Lakers in early 2000s', that is almost 20 years ago; Heat had a decent chance in 14' but the best player in the world had to deal with leg cramps. 

Another reason would be expiring contracts of Klay and Durant, this could be the last season they play together, so why not win again.

Don't forget that Warriors are moving to their new arena next season 2019-20, what better way to celebrate than winning 3rd in a row. If they stay healthy throughout the season and that Boogie thing work as expected, it might not translate as in 70+ regular season wins, but they could easily sweep through playoffs/finals.

They will sweep thru playoffs a lot better this season if they can just keep healthy, that is an important part. Winning three peat is a great achievement however keeping players motivated is another reason why warriors may have troubles.

We all know warriors is the best team in the league with miles difference, now that rockets lost ariza as well its gonna be harder for them and lakers is not ready yet. However the only people that can beat warriors is warriors itself, the contract discussions, the who is the fmvp discussions, the who is the leader and so forth.

Well, Joe Lacob's net worth is close to $ 2 billion, if they decide to keep everyone intact with max and close to max contracts, that will mean a luxury tax of around 200-300mil per year. I'm not sure if the new fancy arena and the expensive courtside seats will be enough to pay all this. lol

Anyway, Draymond Green is probably the last guy in the entire league i will ever question for lack of effort, i don't think whether or not he gets paid will affect his effort and passion on the court. Don't forget he has two years left on his contract. Golden State has to figure out Klay and Durant first.

I think 14 seconds after offensive rebound will cause a drop at FG%. I mean if you get an offensive rebound most of the time you go back up and finish it anyway, however if you can't and the defense is closes down than it means you may have to take the back out. When you do this there is already like 8-10 seconds left, very difficult to manage a half court set so it means you gonna trust the motion and pnr again.

There will be less good looks and that will drop the %fg for offensive rebounds. If there is a stat that checks fg% after offensive rebound there will be a steep decline this season compared to previous seasons.

Hell yeah, finally some action. These second half turnarounds will be quite common if you ask me, as starters get to play no more than 15-20min per game.

Glad to see Hayward back on the court after that horrific injury.  I was overly impressed with Miles Bridges in the last 5 min of the game, Clippers might regret trading him.

Yeah they showed a lot of improvement last season and with the addition of the veterans especially LeBron, they will improve more this season and in the next seasons. I believe these young players will be an all star player.

Yes, its the start of a new season again. There have been much discussions about players moving around and now pre-season has started. Its gonna be interesting to see those players who have been traded this season and gauge them how well they mature and blend with their current teams. I'm really looking for Lebron wearing the gold/yellow and purple jersey.
