They are not the first people to actually use the "Point Center" thing in basketball but Jokic is great with passing so people just focus on that.
If you are age allows it when the "triangle" was a success in Lakers Shaq-Kobe era, Shaq had insane vision, he was able to pass to people better than some of the point guards at the time, I know he didn't had the stats that Jokic had when it comes to assists and never broke over 4 assists a game on average but he was super powerful inside and could score at will if not was fouled most of the time so he didn't had to pass most of the time or even had the chance, but when he did dude was a prolific passer as well, remember Lakers convinced Shaq to join by saying they would allow him to playmake with the triangle system as well.
Being a point center in the NBA is more than just passing the ball the thing about Nikola Jokic being a point center is because unlike Shaq he is literally the one bringing the ball down the box as well as luring in the defense while he tries to drive in the basket. You won't see that on Shaq as he lacks the dribbling skill needed to avoid steals and turnovers from happening on each position, Jokic on the other hand might not look like a pro while doing it but it gets the job done. He really looks like a second point guard for the Nuggets which makes the game a little bit more fun.

The real denver of 80's and 90's was the actual fast run and gun that teams actually play today that nobody really understood the importance back in those days. They had the game with the most points in a game (scored against them) and their avarages were as high as 130 points per game at one point if I am not wrong. Nowadays everyone just uses only 10 seconds of the clock and shoots a three, there is barely any defense, and even if you try to "not defend" someone they get a foul called on them knowing like how harden does it, so its mostly free throws and three pointers.
Different era mate. We really can't compare them in this generation, those are high scoring games because defense is not their priority but to score more points. The game of basketball has really evolved. Talent is certainly much much better these days, if you put any of current stars back into 80's, they would destroy everyone, they would literally score 50+ points every single game and break Wilts 100, however that doesn't give them right to only focus on offense as the whole league, I miss the times when defense meant not just "tall guy under the basket blocking some people" but actually getting inside others comfort zone and bothering them and tapping the ball etc etc.
I agree, that's why I just go and watch some old school games in youtube for fun shake, specially Detroit's team and how they play defense. Right now its outside shooting and three point shot. But it's good though, we have to accept the fact that the game has change from what we used to watch.

I don't think that Curry has bad intentions when he introduced 3 point shooting though. It's just a way to take advantage of the game and they really milk the hell of out if and become a champion. But soon, everyone is catching up, all of the players are shooting three's including the big man. And it revolutionised how the game is played.
Curry and Thompson, both are good 3 points shooters and have won the all star 3 point shooting in different years. It's their team because their main offense is coming from 3 points shooters and they get better as they add Durant which is also a good 3 point shooting. The new generation loved that, but us who were born at the era of Michael Jordan, we like to see a more physical games. For those who have been born and see watch Michael Jordan against the bad boys from Detroit, we really missed that kind of physical and intimidation game. It makes us old though, lol. Now we don't have a 'true' centre, except maybe Joel or KAT but this guys are shooting 3's now.
We have true centers in the persons of Dwight Howard and Andre Drummond because these two will never attempt to shoot 3. I don't consider Dwight though as true centre, in my opinion. He is just so strong when he arrived at the league that's why he became a centre. I would agree with Drummond.

LA Lakers against the Phoenix Suns later. LA -11 @-700 Moneyline while Phoenix Suns +11 @+500 Bet at your own risk. It will definitely give a lot of boost to the Suns player if they win. But if not, at least lose at a single digit deficit. +11 is not that bad. There is still garbage time afterwards.

Though it's a huge gap on their moneyline, I would still put my money on the Lakers. The young core of the suns cannot easily defeat the Lakers but the only thing thing that's bothering me is -11 and +11 for the suns which gives the upper hand for them.

You sure on betting on the Lakers via ML mate? ATM, it's 1.13 Lakers, meaning you will win only 13% of what you have bet and for you to win a substantial amount, you have to bet substantial amount also which is very risky since the Lakers could be beaten by any teams in the NBA. You should explore the spread, that what makes betting exciting.

Also I am doubting because of the +11 for the sun's which is too much for the Lakers to win. I am not a total risk taker so if I were to bet for the Lakers, I will only bet an amount I am willing to lose. Anyways, let's see if something will change tomorrow.

You should really reconsider it since there is not much profit to happen with betting for the Lakers. Me? I wont, I would rather take the risk here. I would rather take the larger profit than bet for winning not much. You could say I am a risk taker.

Wow, I didn't really notice that Clarkson was already traded for the Jazz in exchange for Exum. He is doing quite well in Jazz and I was really shocked when I saw him. I guess that is because I have not been watching too much Jazz games and Cavs. Suddenly, Mitchell could focus on being and off guard rather than doing both Jazz and they got Conley too as back up but I will also prefer Conley to be the shooter waiting for the ball. Let Clarkson handle the play. They can even win against a strong Clippers.

Cavs just wanted some picks so they traded him, cavs is also actively seeking to send Kevin Love as well because thats a good player they don't need right now, Kevin Love can make a difference in any other team right now, and I mean ANY team because he is a good player but dudes salary is too high for his talent, he used to worth that money and after 2016 lebron pressured the ownership to give everyone unreal salaries as a thank you, tristian thompson had like one of the highest for a role player ever as well so they are having trouble trading Kevin Love because of that salary. If they could find a team that needs Kevin Love type of player and has a useless but high paid player, they could just give cavs the useless player plus some picks to get Kevin Love but at this point thats a rare thing to ask.

Mitchell do have a good back up just in case he's not performing well or the tight defense of their opponents trap him up, Clarkson can produce if the coach will let him attack as he can also pass the ball to Gobert or to any shooters outside. Jazz coaching staff needs to blend the players and allow them to enjoy each and everyone's company while playing inside.

OKC managed to beat Dallas as well, they are seriously going for that playoff spot very heavily, I wasn't really expecting them to make this much noise but kudos to them, Chris Paul is getting older every year and he has been slow for a minute there but dude managed to score 13 of the OKC's last 17 points to bring the win home.
Washington on the other hand can't catch a break, they are already without ball and have been horrible but now their rookie Hachimura also lost a ball, not the basketball type of ball neither, he had a surgery and hopefully will be back in few weeks but it is important for rookies to play every game they can to get better and adjust to NBA style of basketball.
This season there is not that many big injuries that made people close out the season as far as I can remember right?

OKC had a legit run this season, yeah, I agree that they'll be in playoffs like the Dallas Mavericks as the usual playoffs contender which are the Warriors, Spurs and Blazers might not make it this season. Just like the Warriors, Washing had some serious injury problems this season but them having a win against the top 2 team in the East is BIG.

Former NBA commissioner David Stern died from brain hemmorhage at the age of 77 link He had huge impact on the NBA. When he took over back in 1984 league had only 23 teams and average attendance of about 11k. When he ended his tenure in 2014 league had 30 teams and attendance between 17-18k. So I would say that he did good job during those years.

I am not a total risk taker so if I were to bet for the Lakers, I will only bet an amount I am willing to lose. Anyways, let's see if something will change tomorrow.
Considering you only want to bet for an amount you willing to lose, I see it's not a wise way to push for 13% winning. I'd rather skip that match and find another. It's more disappointing to lose on low odds compared to fair odds. As for me, my minimum low odds for ML is @1.3 for favorites. Well, your choice, your decision.

If ever Wizards able to win against Magic, I don't call it an upset. Magic, the same as Wizards, is having difficulty too establishing winnings on their last 10 games. Wizards winning against the strong Heat is what we can call an upset. Can't believed Heat allows a 42 points run for the Wizard in the 2nd quarter alone. Anyways as of posting, it looks like Magic will take the win although who knows what will happen for the remaining 9 minutes of the regulation.

Right now OKC has a reliable point guard and a good center in Kanter's hand. Now what's new was the rotation of the ball unlike when Westbrook is handling the ball where he always hug the ball for solo stats.
Enes Kanter is currently playing for Boston Celtics. Traded from OKC to New York last 2017. OKC managed to beat Dallas as well, they are seriously going for that playoff spot very heavily,
They are now ahead at least a good gap to the 8th and 9th spots. They must maintain it so they will avoid the possibility of getting into a deathmatch. An underrated team in action. They have a good run this season.

He is a huge defensive liability. If you cant play defense in the nba as a center you wont last long.

Whoa! I just watched half of the game and went to sleep but I didn't think that they could really win that game. CP3 is really doing it. It is like he is proving something to those teams that let him go. Look at this balance of stats. - R A PTS
- Chris Paul 8 7 17
- S. Adams 11 2 10
- D.Schroder 7 4 20
- S. G-A 10 3 19
- D.Gallinari 3 2 20
Chemistry is real.
