We have good game today.

Dallas vs Portland.

This is the battle of great teams in the West, both are playing well in the their few games, especially Portland who beat the Pelicans twice in a row.
Portland at home and still underdog, what do you think guys, why they are underdog in this game?

Yes, it's surprising to see them as underdog against Dallas who went 1-1 in the last 2 games, while Portland 2-0, Lillard dropping 50 and 36 points respectively. They are rank 6 against Dallas in 8th.

I can only think of the reason why they are not the favourite is that Dallas beat a strong team last game, the Clippers. Not bad to stake some for Portland ML currently @2.x.

Nice suggestion, Portland is playing great and they have CJ back in the game already so I guess that's another big factor to consider. Dallas are complete also therefore we can expect that it will be a great game but if the game is turns out to be a close one, the +3 could be big enough to help a bettor win.

Portland played yesterday and Dallas got to rest.  That's the likely reason behind the strange underdog odds.  I think when they have their rematch of this game on Sunday things will probably look different.  I wouldn't put it past Dame giving his team the edge, but most people might take the young well rested team against the back to back old guys.

Thanks @OgNasty  for the information, however, I would still go with the Blazers as back to back seems not an issue in the NBA, unless they traveled while in this case, they played on the same court and for sure they have rested well before this actual game.

Winning the title already an achivement but if he also win the coach of the year award  that's really something every
new and old coaches desires.

Too early though to talk about that even they are performing and making history for the franchise by now, but there are many things
to consider since it's still the first round.

Hopefully they'll maintain this winning form upto the second round or if fate declare them to the finals then so be it. Wink

That's just an individual appreciation if Steve will win something as coach of the year and that means that he's the best for this season. That's it, they have to maintain what they've shown well for this early of the season. If they have shown great performances for the past matches, they only have to become consistent on it. Early to talk about championships or not, we fans usually talk about it even before the season starts.
Winning the title this year is above 50% for the nets, in my opinion, if those three players are healthy in the playoffs there will be no doubt they can be in the east finals, I'm just concern for kyrie, he has a history of getting hurt every playoff, when he's in the Cavs uniform, every year, I hope he will not be in another playoff resting, in the bench.

If all of them are healthy for the whole season. They have what it takes to be at the playoffs and soon the finals.

I'm just concern for kyrie, he has a history of getting hurt every playoff, when he's in the Cavs uniform, every year, I hope he will not be in another playoff resting, in the bench.
Maybe this time it is going to be a different season and that's why we're wishing them to be healthy until the season ends.

Yes, their chances are huge this season to win the championship.

Harden is playing very good without Durant and Irving. To be fair with Irving, he keeps on pushing his body because he is the go to guy with Cavs and Boston during that time. That's why he goes 110% on playoffs, but this time with Harden and eventually KD around, he won't take the load, his handling of the ball will be lessen since Harden can bring the ball down. And for scoring, we all know that KD and Harden can explode 40 points in again. So let's hope that this year, Irving and the rest will be healthy entering the playoffs.

Durant has a history of injuries already. Harden has too and even Kyrie has. In short, all 3 of them have a history of injuries already. This year yes they are the favorites in winning the championship right now but if only one of them will suffer injury, the chances of them winning will be drop significantly.

All of our eyes are towards the Nets right now but we don't see other teams too like the 76ers or the Jazz right now. Do you think that they have a shot too in an NBA championship and can compete against Brooklyn??

^^ Definitely, Philly and Bucks will be the biggest test for Nets in the East. Joel playing MVP level (although is he injured), and then the resurgent Bucks with Giannis again playing very good basketball as well.

It's just the spotlight on the big 3 of Nets right now, initially many thought that it won't work with Harden and Irving playing together, but so far they prove as wrong, although their winning streak might be stop today by the Orlando Magic.

I am also guilty of my bad speculation with Nets management.
I thought it won't really work. But why did it work? It's actually Harden that shifted his game style.
Less dribbles more passing and focus on defense. Although we can still see the habits of the Rockets style Harden, it's lesser now.

I do agree it is the 76ers they must be careful with.
Looking at how they perform without Embiid is scary.
127-105 Win against Bulls.
134-99 Win against Spurs
99-96 Win against a defensive team Knicks
Before losing against the Bucks.

This may also seal the deal that Danny Green is a lucky charm.  Grin

Looking at how they perform without Embiid is scary.
127-105 Win against Bulls.
134-99 Win against Spurs
99-96 Win against a defensive team Knicks
Before losing against the Bucks.

This may also seal the deal that Danny Green is a lucky charm.  Grin

I see that coming! if Sixers win the title then it's him really.

Just like how Robert Horry whatever team he went he'll get a title, Rockets, SA and Lakers. While with Green he already got it
from SA, Raptors and LA. If Green win this one again it will give him his 4th ring with 4 different teams. He'll break Horry's 7 titles
with only 3 different teams..Hehehe, Moving back to Nets, Harden really adjust and let the coach decide unlike with Rockets where
he's running everything. though I just assuming,.

I'll take Phili as the biggest threat in the east for the nets, if Joel will be 100% healthy until playoffs this be for sure it will give trouble for the nets, we see how they push the raptors, without the lucky bounce by Leonard they would have been in the finals, and I think they have now more experience on how to handle and play in pressure, embid will be hard to stop underneath Jordan can't handle embid for sure.

Yes, Philly has been in that situation before, they wouldn't want to lose it again if it presented to them against the Nets in the playoff. Joel as I have said is playing impressively and Simmons has move forward the trade rumour that's why he is also playing good as well.

We want to see Joel healthy and the Nets big 3 as well to see who is the best in the East and I would say who's going to top the Eastern Conference might have a good chance as well to become the NBA champion.

Nets mostly lose against team with good center and forwards.
Mavs (Kristaps), Pistons (Grant) and now with Magic (Vucevic).
IMO, that could be because of the small line-up they mostly use to let Jordan rest. Next to him, Jeff Green will be the one to shoulder defending this huge guys.
Magic was hot and Vucevic was all over the floor. 22 points 14 rebound and 8 assists. Almost had his triple-double.

We can't say its a bad night for the Nets, Magic just did better.

I don't want to think more or any excuses why they lose, Magic just had a great game and no team is unbeatable in the NBA, even Lakers loss against a bad team or even the Nets loss against the Cavaliers 2 times. Don't worry, they'll come back, bounce back a win and start a win streak again.

And yet Portland prove that back to back games is not a problem, and Lillard and CJ show that they are the best tandem in that game. Putting 31 and 32 point respectively.

I bet on them at odds 2.27.

For the Magic vs Nets, yeah, in order to beat a team like Nets, your game should be perfect and that's what Magic shows us today. Irving has a monster game but he didn't get much contribution to other team mates. Harden below 20 points.

Portland has improve as a team when CJ returned, in this game he scored 32 points and 7/13 shooting in 3 point line. Lillard has find some relief as he will not have to score 40 points and bring the team to a win, they have Lillard now, they can share the load effectively.

That was cute @Russlenat, it's been in stir online but the ref is already married, so no chance that they'll be together.

I also read some comments that if it's Westbrook or Draymond Green who did that, it should be an automatic technical foul.
This not related though but it's somehow making us interested more on the game and I'm sure since that went viral, maybe would be curious on NBA if they have not watch it yet.
