Los Angeles Lakers 94 - 96 Miami Heat. It was a tight game where Nunn scored 27 points, Jimmy Butler had 24 points and eight rebounds, Bam Adebayo had 16 points and 10 rebounds. As we commented yesterday, no Anthony Davis no party, they need him much than ever because Mark Gasol is not taking the lead, he is not doing a normal season and his performance is quite poor. The sad news from the Heat side was that Tyler Herro left after playing less than 14 minutes due to a hip pointer, so let's see if he is fully recovered for the next match.

It was really wrong that they've traded up Dwight when it comes to under the basket offense and defense.I dont have any hate with Gasol even though he
scores up high on this game with 24 points but still im not really that impressed towards under the basket defense and offense.
Good thing that they do able to compensate when AD isnt on the floor specially Kuzma.

Defensively Lakers were fine overall, I mean you cant expect to keep nba teams under 90 points.  They will be fine.  They will lose some tough games but they will win the way ones and when AD gets back and they start the stretch to the playoffs Bron will turn it up a notch.

Gasol did not score 24 points, he played 24 minutes and only scored 6 points. Honestly, I can't even remember Gasol scored a double digit in Lakers uniform, I think his game has not improve yet with the Lakers.

Agree to that, Howard is capable of helping LeBron while AD is out.

He can provide good defense and some offense if given a chance, unlike Gasol who's not providing when he's really needed. the support
that LeBron needs from everyone should be more aggressive they all work together while AD is not healthy yet, securing good spot before
the second round is very important, needs adjustment from all of them.

It wasn't about appreciating Howard or not, it was about Marc Gasol who was seen as a decent salary player accepting minimum salary, I am not saying Gasol is better or howard is better but Gasol was seen as minimum 10 million dollar if not more type of player who accepted minimum salary, that was a big deal at the time and everyone said that was one of the greatest steals in the free agent for a long time. Howard is good and all but he was a veteran minimum for a very long time, nobody really was shocked when he was paid his salary.

Yes, when you look at it now that looks like a bad deal but in reality I think it is obvious that we are not going to see too much change when AD is back, Gasol is basically just a backup center and Howard was too, AD plays a bulk minute at C and Harrel+Gasol handles the rest which leaves really not that much minutes for backup center.

This is an obvious problem when AD is out but when he comes back this will not be a problem at all. If AD would be out in playoffs, neither Gasol nor Howard would bring them championship without AD anyway so it wouldn't matter that way neither.

Gasol scores only 4.4 points per game this season, and it's the lowest performance in his career. Maybe the endless list of injuries has influenced his game. And yeah, he scored more than 10 points only twice this season.

I'm glad you know that he scored double digit this season, I don't know about him having endless injuries because I believe although he got injured sometimes but it's not a serious injury unlike other players that really missed the entire season, it's just that he is not anymore on his prime or Lakers is probably the best team but he has the worst performance in his career.

As per Coach Vogel said that he would be indeed out for 4 weeks due into that calf strain injury.

This is per latest result and to know about these type of injuries that it isnt really severe rather than seeing those types where a certain player
would need to rest for the entire season which you dont really need to worry much.

Yes. That's assured that he'll be out for 4 weeks to take some rest.

Don't worry, that isn't a long time for him to be out and that's enough for him to recover. As per being one of the key players of the Lakers, he needs enough time to rest.

This will affect most of the bettors for the Lakers but just think of it as a proper rest that he needs for future games that they have to win.

Honestly Clippers are getting a lot of points from the odds makers so I think there is more to this game than we know.  At first glance I'd say the nets should at least play this tight, they are playing really good right now.  Even with Durant out if kyrie and harden are playing I dont see why they should be getting 6.5 points.  In my eyes maybe 2.5 but now watch the clips win by 20 lol.

It seems he will indeed be gone for 4 weeks or even more. Achilles injury is tricky and I expected them to not rush AD to get back in the court. It's also a good thing Lakers are number 3 in the West and can sustain their position but this is going to another adjustment for Lebron. Although Lakers are a solid defensive team, they will still miss how good AD scores especially in mid post action.

Lonzo Ball has been playing like a man possessed since the trade rumors about him started heating up. I think it would be a shame for the Pelicans to let him go. I think him and Zion could do big things, so it’s weird they’re pursuing a future with guys like Ingram and Bledsoe. They should have not hesitated to shoot the three when they have the chance in the last seconds of the game instead of going to the rim to catch that offensive foul. The game was so tense when the Clippers manage to tie the game in the last minute and too bad they didn't convert it to win the game because of the poor decision of Leonard. If he kills the time and somehow shoots the three behind the ark, they could have won it but man, that's just the way it is. At the end of the day, no matter how good both teams competing with each other, there should always be only one winner.
