Sixers can still come together as a team to target an achievement this season, afterall they have high quality finishers and all areas looks strong. On the records, letting Green to be traded, doesn't suit my idea, but it has already been done so they will try to scope without him and look for a good replacement for him. If one check their frontlines, they have good goal scoring machines in the team and they're not relenting in games and always took the winning points when they have the chance.
If Embiid can still execute those amazing plays like he did last year and he is fully recovered this upcoming season. To reach the NBA playoffs this time is really hard compared to last season and if they are able to maintain more wins, they will have a chance to compete in the playoffs again. Hoping to see them play well with Harden and others this time and I'm sure Embiid has already improved his step-back shooting ability this upcoming season.

As far as I know, the injuries are not going to affect Embiid too much. At least he will not have any problems when the next season is going to start. And I think he is someone who is quite capable of producing the performance that he did in the last season. I see the Philadelphia 76ers play really well. The players are going to complement each other well on the court. I don't think not having Green is going to be too much of a problem as long as they can bring someone else who is going to be good and play well with the team. And they have Embiid who is a good power forward. So, I believe it is not going to be a big problem.

I think the Lakers is not the organization that develops young guns but just acquires stars that will secure them championships immediately. They are not the type of team that wants to go through rebuilding.

Agree with that, they are a team that can afford to sign superstars, so why would they start with the young guns? They were able to do that with Kobe, he got O'neil, and when O'neil left the team, they got Gasol and Odom. Now that they have Lebron James, they'll make sure that he will be surrounded by great star players and they won't mess up again this season for sure.
I think they are done with that after the bad experiment they did after Kobe retired.
And it proves by the players they are signing in the past few seasons after acquiring Lebron James and Anthony Davis.
The goal is to win now and maximize the contract left with Lebron James. Maybe, 1 or 2 more championships while he is still healthy and his speed is still intact.

The Warriors won again versus the Wizards. That was their 2nd game and 2nd win this preseason.

I mean getting someone like Blake Griffin for what is nearly nothing for a team owner is a good deal. I am not saying he will change anything for the team, for that price, without hurting your cap, you are not going to get much better than that.

There weren't any decent FA's left, and they got Blake for pennies on the dollar, and he will be like a 8th player in the team level of player at his age and body situation, maybe even 9th, but like I said it’s not expected of him to be the best player in the team, it's expected of him to just play decent enough, like 15 minutes a game, and provide "something" with that kind of money and nothing more, which he can definitely do.

I don't think that they are done though with the experiment, it's that after Gasol left or those part of their winner team, they haven't seen the perfect fit. There's so much expectation with Howard join, but we all know what happened, they break up. Until Kobe retires and they were able to just get so-so players. Lebron and AD comes, find the perfect pieces, win a ring. Then they let most of their support cast for reason, try to rebuild last year but it was a failure. Now they added new faces they years so let's see if this is a success or another failure.

They traded Kuzma and KCP to get Westbrook and went for a 3-superstar lineup without supporting roles and they got punished by that move. They even let go of Caruso who was phenomenal in their championship run. He was good in offense and defense but the lakers tried a cheap offer on him and he walked away. That were 3 good players the Lakers let go that could have meant another championship for them.

Now they added new faces they years so let's see if this is a success or another failure.

Hopefully, they got it right this time because the championship year for Lebron is slowly closing down now.

That's the trade that LeBron wanted to make, so they appeased him.  He now wanted to dump Westbrook for Kyrie but it seemed like the Lakers organization wasn't willing to pay the tax/fees involved to make it happen.  They said no to LeBron, which I think is probably the second time that's happened to him in his career.  I wonder if that will be enough to send him searching for another team again...  The irony is that the Lakers wanted to get DeRozan instead of Westbrook, but LeBron and AD wanted Russ.  Then DeRozan goes on to have the best year of his career as an MVP candidate while Westbrook spends the end of games on the bench.

I really think James Harden will do anything, to get a shot at the finals, and the cutting of salary is 1 proof of it but does he still play the same or he is completely different now, but judging from what he did, I think he is surely feeling it now, so he needs to do everything to his power for him to get to close to the rings, apparently I really think his age has gotten him good,
He's done almost everything but I think that's not all that he can do. It's true that he's really taking a shot for the finals and that's why anything that he can sacrifice, he'll do it.
He wants to do it in his own way by pushing himself to the top, he's getting older and that's one of the achievements that he wants to have. Unlike some other players, they've got a reliable teammates and that's what he's lacking of.

He surely can not get it all, he may have the perseverance, and the mindset but those reliable teammates that he is longing to have he can not get those, that is why he decided to cut his salary, but does he? well ultimately the Philadelphia 76ers are having a hard time getting good teammates, but for me, the Philadelphia 76ers are still good and right now this season James Harden will be playing with Joel Embiid, Tyrese Maxey, Tobias Harris, and P.J. Tucker I think that is a good sign in getting into the finals,
Yeah, they've got a good stack and I'm sure that's already competitive for them to get on the top. Just like any other team, it's not all about how strong the superstars are, there are bench players that can have momentum for each of their games and will contribute if given the chance.
We've seen it from the biggest teams to the weak teams. Let us just hope for the best for the guy and we'll see if he's going to make it or not since he's not getting younger anymore.

The weird thing is, who did Sixers get instead of paying Harden? I am looking at the roster of Sixers and all I can see is PJ Tucker and I feel like that’s not a huge deal as people make it out to be. They have Embiid, Harden, Harris is a good player, now PJ Tucker and that’s about it? Do you really think that they could make it to finals with these players?

I am not saying it’s impossible, of course they could still be a good team, but not like getting a cut suddenly made them insanely good, not like they got another superstar. It would have been awesome if they somehow got a third star to the team, that would make sense, but PJ Tucker is the place where that extra money went.
The Harden-Simmons trade happened mid-season and that affects the chemistry of the team that's why they didn't play like what people are expecting to them last season.

Now they have a full season to test the chemistry of the team. Yes, they only got Tucker, but the roster last season is good already. The problems with them last season are Embiid got injured and Harden didn't play the usual Harden in either Nets where he is a pass-first player or in Rockets where he is an offensive minded player. He played like an average player last season and now is the time for him to at least redeem.

As for their chances in getting to the Finals. I think they can. I mean they already have good players and have some good role players already. Thybulle and Tucker who is a great defender, they also got Melton who played really well when he was in the Grizzlies. They got Harrell as well who is a former 6th man of the year. Harris is a good contributor as well. I guess if there is a player who might need some development, it will be Maxey. Maxey might be the 3rd star to the team, and I believe he can.

Adelaide 36ers won against the Phoenix Suns in their first preseason.
Wow! Craig Randall II scored an enormous 35 points showing some great skills to the crowd.

Tomorrow, Philadelphia 76ers vs Brooklyn Nets. Awkward.  Grin
Well, it will happen eventually but the big question. Is Simmons ready to face his former team? I heard news that his debut as a Nets will be this preseason game against the 76ers. We will see.

Adelaide 36ers won against the Phoenix Suns in their first preseason.
Wow! Craig Randall II scored an enormous 35 points showing some great skills to the crowd.

What a shame for a title contender to be defeated on that match but this will be good to their organization to know their lapses because having that bad run together with team outside NBA is needed to be correct by their management.

Tomorrow, Philadelphia 76ers vs Brooklyn Nets. Awkward.  Grin
Well, it will happen eventually but the big question. Is Simmons ready to face his former team? I heard news that his debut as a Nets will be this preseason game against the 76ers. We will see.

For sure Simmons is fully prepared for that match up because its time for him to prove to his old team that his a big loss for them and if he perform very bad in this match up for sure he received a harsh criticism from 76ers fans.

Is this for real now? Is he really ready to go back to the court? If this is playing in the sixer's homecourt, it would be nice to see how the sixers fans will react in Simons finally playing.

There is nothing to be ashamed of. It is only a preseason game. At most, it is just a warm-up and to see how the new members of the roster will play and iron kinks in their play before the regular season starts.

Exactly, it's not a serious one, it's just an exhibition game.

I also love how Sotto played, he scored a double-digit and was effective on the court.
Well, actually 39ers played with good teamwork compared to the Sun, so they deserved that win, but then again, it's just preseason, not a serious game.

Yeah, there's nothing to be ashamed for that win. But at least, the 36ers experienced to win against Phoenix Suns, it's kind of going to boost the morale of their players and management.

I've watched the Bucks and Grizzlies game and I didn't felt any competition on that game and it's just like pure fun and having a warm and tune up game as the actual is about to come.

This was the details of the Donovan Mitchell trade as you'd remember. Cavaliers gave up on many of their first-round picks and pick swaps just to bring him. He can really be one of the most consistent players considering his stats in the recent years:

He is still 26 years old now and he is a really solid talent. Cavaliers had a good run last season but they can do better with this addition to the team. He is the top earner in the team now with $30.9m per year by the way. If he adapts to Cavaliers quickly until the regular season starts Cavaliers can be a solid scoring team with the help of this talented SG.

Definitely, one of the best pre-season games we should watch and the most awkward one. Ben Simmons needs to do well on this one if he doesn't want to get roasted in the pre-season. Man! if don't do good enough, the roast will never stop from here. That's just one of the pressure he has in his pocket right now, he needs to make it an inspiration to shut down all of his critics and to continue to improve in his own way. anyway, does he really gonna play tomorrow?

Adelaide 36ers Vs Phoenix Suns

Adelaide 36ers had a really enjoyable game. Both passing and shooting in this game were really entertaining. The movement on and off the ball was great from the players of Adelaide 36ers.

Philadelphia 76ers vs Brooklyn Nets

I think it is going to be quite an interesting game. The Philadelphia 76ers feel like the most complete team heading into the upcoming season. Nets, with some of the recent moves they have made, do not convince me that they are positioned to be a very effective team moving into the upcoming season. But obviously, this is going to be a pre-season match. So, I don't think that the teams are going to be overly concerned about this one. But it will be interesting to see Simmons' debut.

He is given some minutes now unlike his first year on the team. And it is good that he is showing up and not wasting the opportunity to show his talent with the minutes the coach has given him. I hope he continues his good performance since NBL has started its regular season as well.

I do not expect anything from Ben Simmons right now. It's been a long time since he played professional basketball. Heck, I don't even remember the last time he played. It feels like it was ages ago.

There is bound to be some rust in his gameplay for not playing so long. But that should go away as the season progress.

As long as he continues to play, he will continue to learn and eventually improve, and maybe a few years from now we will see him as the first pure-blooded Filipino in the NBA. He got the height, he can shoot outside, what's lacking in him is his maturity and which can be earned through experience, also, he needs to grow his body.

Brooklyn Nets got blake Griffin for a really really cheap price. From this price, I don't think they could have expected anyone better right now. And I think with the kind of money that they got this player for, they should not expect wonders from this player.

Even average performance from blake Griffin is going to be enough for them, especially when we think about money. His performance was decent enough in the last season and if he can perform like that for the Nets this season I don't think the Brooklyn Nets are going to complain too much about his performance.

I belive on that as well, with the exposure that he's gaining, it's good that he's not wasting the time.

Still young and with the experienced like this, he will be able to develop more skills and that maturity, it's very important not
just now but for the future as well, competing with NBA stars gives him the glimpse of what's waiting for him and his goal, better
to be well prepared before trying his luck next season.
