It's always expected of Davis to get injured, that's the thing he does, ever since he became a player in NBA he has always been injured, there is a way of his body that just doesn't compute with each other and that causes him to be injured all the time.

It's just not possible for Lakers to fight for a win with this roster, they knew this, they were aware that their team sucked, they realized last year that this team can't really win much, and even with that info they still ended up playing with the same roster for some reason I do not know. I know that it's not that hard, but I believe that trades needs to be done in order for Lakers to get better. They need to get rid of Westbrook for starters, that's the biggest problem.

That said, they should have another reliable big man that will replace AD whenever he's injured or to ease his load a bit per game because they surely know that AD is really prone to such injuries. He is still young but the built of his body is not very suitable in intense games especially if it's a consecutive games like playoffs, Conference Finals and Finals. They have a chance, but they couldn't reach far if one of their reliable players will be injured because LeBron now cannot carry the team anymore.

I would guess that it’s not going to be that easy to get a reliable big man. Dwight Howard is still free agent as far as I know and I do not understand why he is not picked up, for that case Melo is still free agent as well. Instead of forcing them to early retirement, they could just hire them and put them in the bench and even if they do not play any meaningful minutes, they could be getting like 5 minutes per game to keep fresh and always be there, which would give them a good training as well.

If any player gets injured badly, they would have a backup plan with these two, and they would come out and play 15-20 minutes instead of 5 minutes in case of an injury.

Looking at the near term upcoming schedule for the Knicks it's gonna be a tough one.  They have a glaring hole at shooting guard.  Quentin Grimes looks promising but has been injured all year so far.  East looks wide open in tws of 3rd through 10th spots in the east.  Bucks are gonna ride the top but lots of mediocrity so far.

Yes, that's a fact and I can hardly imagine that the Lakers won't get another player of the same level as AD to help with the rotation.
I even imagine this is one of the critical problems of the Lakers, finding a big man player with similar AD level to replace him during some games.
Dwight Howard after leaving the Magic, practically his career plummeted and we never saw him play like before and Melo is also at the end of his career and both are free agents.
I imagine the Lakers will need to have other options in order to get another player to help AD when he's not very healthy.

Pretty crazy line of stats I saw on the ESPN/Sportscenter instagram page yesterday. I think this is about a day old at this point but it still is mostly valid for how crazy things have been for some of the best teams in the league. I do think it shows some signs of parity for the NBA which of course is a good thing for the league overall.

Which teams do you guys think will start to bounce back soon ?

Touch schedule indeed but maybe they can get a win against the struggling Nets and Pistons hehe. The good thing about Knicks is that they have youth in their team. They can probably use that speed or agility to slash against older knees for an easy dunk or layup.

East looks wide open in tws of 3rd through 10th spots in the east.  Bucks are gonna ride the top but lots of mediocrity so far.

It's almost similar with the West. The difference is just a win or two.

I haven't followed Spurs basketball recently so I'm quite surprised they are already sitting at third. They were still struggling last season.

I can't consider that as a basis that the league is now having a big change just because those mentioned teams are not in their usual standing like before. In fact, only a few games are being played yet and the season still has a long way to go.

It's just that there are teams that showing some improvement and shouldn't be surprising.

But regardless of the final standing, every team that will enter playoffs will start at a 0-0 record. That's where the real competition start.

You can really see that they are been hype for the win they got and looks like they win a a spot on playoffs for achieving 1 win today. For sure those win could wake up their spirit and they might bring the same energy on their next game. If Lakers can win for second time around against Pelicans for sure those people who doubt then think about that they might not reach in playoffs again will change their outlook towards them.

I also hope to see them win in their next game so that the critics will gonna moved on with other stuffs in the NBA because right now, most of the topics are pointing to them. Whenever they messed up, it will automatically the headlines and when they finally won their first game last night, they need to follow it up and gonna make more wins than losses from now on to keep moving forward and have a chance to enter the NBA playoffs this year.

Yes those critics who made a lot of fun from losses what encountered by lakers will be shut up so what Lakers need at the moment is to prove that they can be a title contender even if they face a lot of problem last few season. If they lose maybe fans will be back to criticize them again so they need to be more better team on their next game.

I haven't followed Spurs basketball recently so I'm quite surprised they are already sitting at third. They were still struggling last season.

We also have to point out that the Spurs roster doesn't have an all-star or superstar level. They only have a legendary and future hall of famer Coach. I tried to take a look at their entire roster and I will admit that almost the entire roster is not in my dictionary.

The spurs didn't make any big move during the off-season but looked at them now. Although too early to conclude where they will end up this season. Coach Greg Popovich really an excellent coach and has the ability to improved more his players.

A few games aren't enough to tell the whole outcome of the regular season. We are not even at the 1/4 of the season.
They are just posting things like this to change how NBA fans see the league and unfortunately, there are some who will say yes even though we have only seen at around 5-7 games played.

Teams will bounce back soon for sure. I also saw Washington and Cleveland at the top last season, and they ended up at the bottom 8. Chemistry must be the reason why some top teams last season started bad.

I believe the Warriors will bounce back and the Sixers. Lakers will remain at the bottom 8 and Clippers might end up at the top 5-8 if they will clinch the playoffs. As for the Nets, they played well against the Pacers just a few hours ago so maybe they might end up at the top 5-8 and I don't know but they also might end up at the top spot. I don't know but just looking at how good the teams offensively, I believe they can get the top spot.

Same with me, I am not familiar with most of their players and I think that is the reason they are overlooked. Pair it with being underestimated and you will have a winning team.
I don't doubt Coach Pops with the ability to bring young players and become champions in the future. Even DeRozan changed his game style because of Pops. Let's see in 10 more games, if this keeps up then maybe there's something in that Spurs team that we are missing.

Looks like the Kawhi Leonard and John Wall experiment is going about as expected. Kawhi is set to miss the next six games at least with the same ACL issue that’s plagued him. I don’t know the exact story with John Wall’s eligibility but he’s not playing again tonight and hasn’t put in too many minutes this season.

How about the Bucks? They’re still undefeated at 6-0 to start the season.

I was also surprised to see the Warriors lose to the Pistons and go below .500 on the season now. Klay Thompson needs to get healthy both physically and mentally so he can return to the court.

That was a good start for the Warriors in the first quarter and in the second quarter, Cunningham saw the momentum. And for the third quarter, that was likely when they become confident that it was the moment that they should continue with the lead. Sad day for the Warriors, will they come back on Wednesday against Heat? For sure.

Maybe good but not the same warriors we saw before, Warriors are a good 2nd half team, especially the 3rd quarter so they usually win games. Well, they might have a bad start now but I'm pretty sure they'll be able to make the right adjustment to be consistent in winning again.

Well, it's a not so different Warriors that we're seeing today. Although some good players have been transferred after they've taken the last season's ring.
But, this were 2 consecutive losses from them. On last Friday from the Hornets and from Pistons yesterday. These little losses won't matter actually as they've always been consistent except those seasons a few years ago that they've really seen at their weakest.

I think Giannis just took where he left off whether in Fiba or last year's NBA. It's just unfortunate that were not able to defend their title. But it seems that he is on a mission right now. And it's easy for gamblers to bet on the Bucks, but I don't think they were able to cover the spread in this game.

Another interesting game is the Hornets vs Kings, Hornets taking the lead most of the game but they gave it away in the 4th quarter.

They hold off the Warriors in their last game in OT, but this time, the Kings can't be denied with this win.

I don't know about you guys, but I am voting for this kid Lauri Markkanen to be on the All-Star even though it's still early in the season.
A 7-footer dominating the league who can shoot outside, make his way to the rim using his strength, a good defender, and with passing skills.
Above all that is his heart to close the game with a win.
With the help of veterans beside him like Conley and Gay, he will surely grow more intellect about the game.

This is just the first win, but how many defeats have there been before? Therefore, criticism in this case is normal, this is a magical kick that can wake up a team, and help them start winning. You see, in order to start winning Laker, it was only enough to improve the percentage of hitting 3 point shots to 43%.  There is no point in talking about the championship now, they just need to start winning.

Speaking of the Lakers...  It seems like Myles Turner and Buddy Hield know what they should do...  Woj was talking to Myles Turner about a trade and he had some things to say about the Lakers...  I think specifically Buddy Hield is exactly what the Lakers are missing.  He'll come in and shoot 40% from three point range and be LeBron's best friend in no time.  I can't believe that the Lakers haven't been able to find a decent shooter for LeBron to pass the ball out to.  That's pretty much all LeBron needs to win.

Historically, Lebron had good shooters in him with the Lakers, but yeah, it seems that it's either they can't find anyone or if they found someone, the team is trying to bait them to include future draft picks which the Lakers doesn't have the luxury right now.

Anyhow, still early in this season, maybe they will finally take Turner and Hield in exchange of Westbrook or some players and it's definitely doable in their part. The Pels will be their next opponent if I'm not mistaken, they will have a day off and the game is scheduled on November 3. A tough game for them, and let's see if they will have that momentum for a 2 game winning streak.

Goodness gracious, Denver Nuggets are so kind that they've given the first-ever win for the Lakers. Kidding Aside.
I thought that the Nuggets would be able to catch up with the lead of the Lakers but that's it, it seems an achievement and many are happy with this win for the Lakers.
We are wishing them that this should be the motivation on them to get their next wins.

It is nice to see the Lakers get a W finally. They were led by Russell Westbrook having a good shooting night off the bench as the Lakers second unit destroyed the Nuggets’ all night. A nice picture of what the Lakers are capable of.

I never thought that the Lakers could score their first win against the Nuggets because Nuggets is also a tough team to beat yet the Laker still managed to win. AD and LeBron were also alive and doing most of their jobs, but the bench players were different that night especially Wesbrook for bouncing back as he almost committed a triple double while this kid Austin Reaves was also good, contributing double digits for the team.

Another game tomorrow for the Lakers, still against the Nuggets, so we can assume that it's another massacre? I'm guessing, their losing streak will continue after this game as they have no answer on this good team, I hope I'm wrong because I want to see their cold streak end.

Had expected the same situation because they've been defeated by the Nuggets already in their first encounter this season but this time was different, it's like they suddenly found their correct routine and synch. Westbrook bounced back too and almost got a triple double coming from the bench, surely that's shocking enough. Let's see if they can repeat their play in the next game against the Pelicans.

They need to bring that spirit and the teamwork for them to make another win. Today's game silent the critics, but for sure they are just
waiting for another loss from the Lakers and those hates will flow back.

Against the Pelicans where Zion is back, it's another challenge for the Lakers, though seeing the fun inside the locker room means a lot
for this team.

They are building good relationships and it can be converted to good chemistries inside the court, both offensive and defensive role
is very important in each game that they will play together.

After getting their 1st win of the season, they will be tested again because they are playing against a much heavier team this time and it's the Pelicans next where Zion will play. Ingram is out but the team can still handle the Lakers power especially now that the Lakers just got their form and morale back. This will be an interesting game, for sure.
