Goodness gracious, Denver Nuggets are so kind that they've given the first-ever win for the Lakers. Kidding Aside.
I thought that the Nuggets would be able to catch up with the lead of the Lakers but that's it, it seems an achievement and many are happy with this win for the Lakers.
We are wishing them that this should be the motivation on them to get their next wins.
Yeah, finally.
I just don't like how Russ boastful gestures with just one win. They have to win more. There are 82 games in the season and I would not be that overconfident yet just because of one win. Sure, he likes celebrating but it's not yet time. There's a goal to achieve the playoffs and be on the safe seed like 1-6 to avoid being in the play-in tournament.

Anyway, I like what AD is doing, that's the AD we got used to. Post-up, mid-range shots, very high accuracy. He didn't try any three which is good.

Don't be so hard on them mate Cheesy I understand your point but they also have the right to celebrate their first win after getting five straight defeats since the season began especially Russell Westbrook who is always the center of criticism and note that it was also the first win since Darvin Ham took the post of Frank Vogel, so it's kind of a good thing to celebrate.

Now, celebrations are finished because they are back again to reality where they will be playing with the NOP. What do you think guys, can they duplicate their performance this time?

It's understndable that Lakers needed that kind of boost, after winning the game celebrating is something that

the new coach needs, a kind of appreciation coming from the whole staff, it's a gesture that they
are all respecting him and they are all believing that he can do it.

Like what you said, it's back to reality and they will be playing the NOP, looking to see more good
adjustment for the Lakers to keep the winning vibes continue.

Exactly, it might not be a big deal for the other people because they are not the ones who are playing for the franchise but for them, it is as they needed a boost as well, just like what you've said. Now that they got what they wanted, let's see if that boost restored their morale and is already enough to beat the NOP next game. Darvin Ham might've got an idea because of that win they've got.

Edit: Steve Nash fired as the Nets coach.

This is not good news, and I don't think Nash deserved to be fired. First of all, it should be noted that Nash didn't have enough experience to manage players like Irving, Durant, and Harden in his first year as head coach. Therefore the beginning of Nash's coaching career was extremely difficult because he had to constantly adapt to solve various problems on the team.
By the way, there are already rumors that the Nets are in talks with Udoka, and I wouldn't be surprised if he becomes the new Nets' head coach.

p.s
It looks like Durant will be pleased with himself because he pushed for Nash's firing since the offseason.

Surely not a good thing for the Nets because they need Steve Nash now more than ever and seriously not a wise move from the management. Because why would they fire Steve Nash? It was just a bad start and it's not like that they haven't' won at least 1 game since the season started, they should've give him more time to adjust too as having the Big Three Drama Queens under his watch is not an easy thing to do because they have their own worlds.

Also, is this real that Ime Udoka will be replacing Steve Nash? Because I don't think that the Celtics will just simply agree as having Udoka in other team means that the Bucks weaknesses will be revealed too. Seriously, what happened to NBA these days? Everybody want instant progress.

Yes, it’s real that Ime Udoka will be replacing Steve Nash as the Brooklyn Nets head coach. At least according to Woj. It should be official this week. I definitely didn’t expect that Udoka would have a new coaching job before the news of what happened in Boston became public, especially after Matt Barnes made it sound like Udoka was finished in professional sports. Seems like the Nets are going out of their way to sign the most problematic players and staff they can get their hands on.

Let's see if the new coach will make this team great again.

Nets are struggling and they put all the blame to the coach, well, we can understand that as Irving and Durant were real superstars and yet their team can barely win a game. No more excuses now, if they still would not improve, then we can conclude that the players are really the problem, most especially on the superstars.

They really need to win now because they been struggling to win in their last games, it will be their worse nightmare if they won't gonna improve with their new coach and honestly, it will be hard for them to adjust their way of playing right now but maybe they can still be good to go if coach Nash is the only problem in the team. we will have a glimpse of their future in their next game and hope that it will turn the table for them.

Brooklyn is a tire fire currently. I think they did Steve Nash a favor by letting him go. Look at the shit he had to deal with. Kyrie wouldn't get vaccinated, Durant trying to force a trade, Durant trying to get him fired, and now Kyrie with his antisemitism stuff. That team is just insane the last couple years. Nash will get another job if he really wants it.

I definitely agree, they can consider and call themselves lucky because Steve Nash haven't left their side despite all the issues he has to face since last season and surely it wasn't a nice experience for Steve as a head coach because he has to deal with these ladies in his team. I cannot imagine what will happen to the franchise if Ben Simmons got his own issues too because right now, he is left behind from all the dramas as Kyrie and Durant already started theirs. So, good luck for the new head coach. Did Ime Udoka accepted the offer already?

Even with a good coach, it will not be an instant gratification case. There will be an adjustment period before they can see success especially since the play styles will be completely different. The Nets right now like to play hero balls with Kyrie and KD making their own shots while Udoka's play is more on moving the ball around. Hopefully, Udoka will get the two stars respect so he can coach them otherwise it will be Nash all over again.

Any win for LA Lakers right now is a cause for celebration. With how bad they started this season and how disarrayed their roster is, they should be happy they have won against Nuggets. Maybe it was pure luck or they have finally found something that clicks in their roster, we will know that in the next few games if they continue winning. And we need a tougher team than NOP to prove that they have found their formula for winning. Maybe a win against Bucks or Celtics will cement that.

Udoka have had success in Boston, he can replicate it maybe with the Nets, and bring his experience. It's just, a couple of months ago, we don't know if he will be hired again and have a job, do you guys think that Nets is kinda dig their hands again in controversy when they hire Udoka?

They already had a lot in the last couple of months as mentioned by @yahoo62278. I think it's better if they will hire someone without anything, just saying.

What the heck! The arrogance of the Brooklyn Nets to fire Steve Nash after being humble and forgiving Kyrie after what he said. Damn!
That's one thing men would not be willing to do and yet he did so that concludes he is really a good coach just to keep the team intact.
Then, he took them to the playoffs which should've been impossible after that stunt by Kyrie, KD, and Ben. The other guy doesn't want to play, while the other feels like he should not play yet and another thinks he is better than his coach.  Grin
It's their loss, I wish Steve Nash will be hired by other teams and prove them wrong. Sweet Revenge.

And, they just lose to Chicago Bulls with those 17 turnovers and lot of offensive rebounds from Chicago. We don't know with Nets management and how they fire Steve but one thing is for sure if they improved then that's fine but if not, superstars should know what they're missing. Team owners/management these days will never hold coaches just because they're not winning. I wish Steve will have a lesson for this, maybe start small again as a coach on some small league then back again at NBA.

There are huge expectations on Nash shoulder when he become the coach of the Nets, for sure. Yes, he is a great player but we have seen some of them becoming coach but not very successful. Perhaps it was because of the team he handled with the Nets or maybe he needs more experienced first. And the NBA has really evolved, the team owners will always blame the coaches first when something went awry just. But at least there's no more pressure on Nash now, he have defended Kyrie and Durant in public, not saying anything bad against those two, class act by Nash and goodluck to him.

I know that most of the time a good roster with a bad result is usually the coaches fault. However, that wasn't the case this time around, they have a toxic locker room and it has been like that for a while. I do not think that they could ever do anything with this team.

Ben Simmons who doesn't even wanna play, Kyrie who is a big moron who has been saying stuff that should get him banned from NBA if you ask me, Durant who asked to be traded out, and Nash was supposed to win with this team? I do not think so. I believe that Nets are a horrible organization, they are getting Ime Uduka who has been banned from his own team for what he did just to increase the toxic level in the team. It’s a disgrace and I am happy for Nash that he is leaving this toxic place.

And Ben Simmons is performing at a mediocre level which is obviously not worth his $35 million salary this season.

It's quite expected that Simmons' performance looks mediocre because he missed too many games due to his mental problems. It's worth noting that he's still a good rebounder and passer, but he can't score at all. I think Simmons still hasn't solved his problems, given that sometimes he's just afraid to look toward the basket, and he's even more afraid to throw the ball. Obviously, a player who isn't capable of scoring at least an average of 10-15 points per game doesn't deserve such a huge contract.

I do not think so. I believe that Nets are a horrible organization, they are getting Ime Uduka who has been banned from his own team for what he did just to increase the toxic level in the team. It’s a disgrace and I am happy for Nash that he is leaving this toxic place.

Hehehe, yeah, the toxic level within the organization is the highest in the NBA if I'm not mistaken. And the organization is making one bad decision to another, like getting Nash to resign and then hiring someone who has a bad rep already.

And just imagine if you are a female and that you will have to interact with Oduka? I mean what is the feeling as he had already a precedent with Boston, and for sure it is very awkward as you don't want to be associate with that cheater.

What a sad day for Brooklyn and Steve Nash, separated ways early this season after having a 2-6 record, while the Lakers just celebrated the first win for Darvin as an NBA head coach with a record of 1-5. I'm afraid Darvin will follow this path if the Lakers won't make any difference even after this huge win against Denver.
A lot of things will change mid season, but top teams is in the bottom today lol. GSW just had their 3 straight L's.
I guess it's forthcoming, remember before the season started, there were some pressure from the management coming from a a player that wanted to get rid of Nash.

And so he won again, Nash left the Nets, and whatever he says, it's a bad separation in my opinion. Not sure about Ham, the Lakers could have too much faith in him right now.

I think it's a good thing that both sides agree to part ways. KD might still not like Steve Nash but at the same time, it's really a big headache coaching Brooklyn Nets. There are rumors that some teams are trying to take Ime Oduka's services and the Nets is one of those teams. But looking at the current Nets line-up, Oduka might not like it but he can rebuild the team as he likes. I see KD's chances of staying with the Nets the whole season at 50/50. Kyrie Irving always creates drama every season. And Ben Simmons is performing at a mediocre level which is obviously not worth his $35 million salary this season.

As for the Lakers' new coach, Darvin Ham's fate rests in Lebron James' hands.  Cheesy
Yeah, and so still a big gamble for the Nets organization to replace Nash with Oduka. And we will be really tested here as the drama is always on the background, from the organization hiring him to Simmons being overpaid by the Nets.

And with tumultuous relationship, not sure how they can manage to stay free and win games. And I do agree that Nets is one of the worst organization right now in the NBA.

Nash was sick of dealing with the drama of Brooklyn. When you have divas like Durant and Kyrie, it doesn't take long to want out of coaching. My bet is he is sleeping better then he has in a long time now.

Far as the Udoka talk goes, I don't think he's hired yet but is the front runner for the job. According to https://www.si.com/nba/nets/news/nets-refute-report-of-hiring-celtics-ime-udoka the Nets are refuting the talk so far.

The Cleveland Cavaliers vs Boston Celtics game turned out to be a great one. The Cleveland Cavs won it in overtime and fought hard the entire time. Garland and Mitchell are scoring machines and Jarrett Allen is a force down low. I think this Cleveland team might be for real. Crazy because I thought they were going to tank this season but instead they might be a high seed in the postseason.

Yes, and that kind of environment is contagious. If I were one young player that's on the roster, I'd probably think of getting out. It's not always about the game or being professional, that is why chemistry is also crucial in basketball.
Coach Nash said, "They are not responding to me."
I think that's proof of why they keep on losing their games.
The Nets should think about a new tactic if ever the new coach won't be effective. Take Utah Jazz as a good example.

Here is the result for my NBA picks, and right now it was devastating to look at but I was really amazed but the Los Angeles Lakers now,

Cleveland Cavaliers VS Boston Celtics SCORE 114 - 113 - LOST

It was really a close game, it was so close that the match turned into an Overtime Al Horford made a double-double of 12 rebounds and 12 points, Jayson Tatum got a double-double as well, of 12 rebounds and 26 points, while Jaylen Brown made 30 points, while the Cavaliers win the game by 1 point, with Jarrett Allen got a double-double of 14 rebounds and 14 points, Donovan Mitchell got 25 points and Darius Garland has a double-double of 12 assist and 29 points,

New York Knicks VS Atlanta Hawks SCORE 99 - 112 - LOST

New York Knicks was very dominant in the 1st half while the Atlanta Hawks just got the best of them to turn the table around, I really thought that the Knicks would win this but indeed Atlanta Hawks' Dejounte Murray got 36 points, and let the Hawks win this game,

Houston Rockets VS Los Angeles Clippers SCORE 101 - 109 - LOST

It was another close game, and another loss for me, I really thought that the Rockets will surely take this win but again the Clippers have to shove them a good game, even without Kawhi Leonard Paul George having pulled through with 28 points and Marcus Morris Sr. with a double-double performance,

Dallas Mavericks VS Utah Jazz SCORE 103 - 100 - LOST

It was another close game but the Jazz would surely be going to win this Jordan Clarkson made a great performance with 22 points but Luka Doncic steal the spotlight with a double-double of 11 assists and 33 points,

Los Angeles Lakers VS New Orleans Pelicans SCORE 120 - 117 - WIN

I really thought that the Lakers would eat the bucket again but it was a close game that end up in an Overtime but the Lakers have still recovered from that and win the game this is now their 2nd  win, moving forward,

@YuginKadoya 1 out of 5, just bounce back tomorrow mate, don't give up. Grin

Anyway, I again witness a good game by the Jazz, though they lose against the Mavericks they showed how good they are. Just imagine if they are playing at home, they'll sure play better than how they played in Dallas.

Jazz loss but they covered the spread, still a win for bettors.

LA Lakers escaped from another loss, good thing they have Ryan who forced an OT and the Lakers then too over in the OT. 2 wins in a row, now bad, but hopefully they'll be more consistent and dominant so we will not feel nervous while watching the game.

Westbrook now is playing limited minutes but he had some good contribution, I think that's good for the team.

I wish I could’ve watched the game. The highlights made it seem like it was a fun one to see. Zion and LeBron had a moment afterwards where LeBron seemed to be paying respects to Zion. The Lakers won mostly because of a hell of a game from Lonnie Walker IV. He was 5-9 from three point range and that’s exactly what the Lakers need to win games.

I agree, they need a 3 point shooter to win, good to see that someone has really excel in that game to do the job. They traded their 3 good 3 point shooters in the past, now they are struggling, hopefully we will see some consistency Lonnie Walker IV and that he'll contribute to contribute big time for the Lakers.
